Hey! I'm new to the guild, and I'm a flautist. I also have a Piccolo and a Chinese Flute, and if anyone has some tips on how exactly to play it, that would be greatly appreciated because the instructions are in Chinese. sweatdrop
...it also has a second hole that you could blow in, and so I'm not sure what to do about that... confused I heard something about covering it with rice paper, but when I saw other people playing it they didn't have anything there.
...and unfortunately I also don't know what type of Chinese flute it is...If anyone thinks they could help me, please PM me!

And then after the band directors... then they get shoved in a bass drum and rolled down a hill. I've always wanted to do that, so it has to be in there xp sounds fun! WOHOO! *gos get the bass drum* umm i got one of the small marching ones, do you think we could shove them in it! Well actually. one of my best friends is a guy flute player! we sit next toeach other we have great fun i dont know what i'd do without him. he's staright as a post:] and well i also know a gay guy flute player so i dont do stereotypes!! :] Well, I'm not sayin' all are straight, I know some have to be gay. So, pretty much, the stereotype needs to die. And be burned. And to fullyalive, we might be able to shove one of them in there. But, I'll get our huge bass drum, and 2 of these other new drums that we have, but I have no idea what they're called. But, they're big and round, so rollin' them down the hill, will still be fun. twisted GENIUS thats a wonderfull plan... twisted Yep! Ooh and we could put like, 50 metronomes in there, all going at different times, so while they're rolling down the hill, they'd be driven mad by the metronome! It bothered the heck out of me when my band director used one once, so I know 50 has to be torture! twisted

Temari112233 i am a PROUD flute player!! at my school we're the flute loops! i LOVE the flute! its an AMAZING instrument (when played right!lol!) we have SO many flutes at my school!! there's like thirty of us at football games we take up three and a half rows!! haha!! well gtg!! family's here for xmas!! heart O_O THIRTY flutes?!?! Oh mah god!!!! We only have like 9 and I thought that was a lot.... but that's awesome!! You must have a ginormous band! It's awesome that your the flute loops!! At our school, we're the F.O.F.O , fellowship of the flutes and oboe ;D

OMG!! I play the flute. I a fourth chair in the Bammel Middle School Concert Band. (was that too much?) I have a crush on a percussion player in our band. I think we would make good music together.(still too much?) PM me whenever. 3nodding whee xp

I play the flute as well, along with the piccolo. Been playing flute for about 8 years, and I'm first flute in my high school band.

we have some where around 15? flutes in our JH band.
I've been playing for 4 years.

I love my flute, yes. <3
We have I think the smallest band of our grade in the area. 13 people, 3 sax's, 3 trombones, 2 trumpets, 1 french horn, 2 clarinets and 2 flutes (one being me). Our band hasn't gotten into the place where there can be snoots and regular people because there aren't enough people.
((When I went to Interlochen it was way different though. Instrument sections are like gangs sorta, with social classes and everything! I was at the bottom...))

I play flute. =3 We have 19 people in our section this year, since we had two people who played flute during marching season but switched instruments for concert season (an oboe and a clarinet who transferred late and took a flute that dropped's spot). We have 18 flute-only players. None of them are snooty, actually. We've got the religious ones, the annoyingly perverted ones, the ones that mind their own business, and the hyperactive ones. xD
