"You can't admit it's not true, though," he replied, taking the cigarette from his mouth for a minute. "Whereas most of them seek power by simply augmenting their physical strength, you seek greater knowledge, balance, and therefore power, through the arcane, and through study." He sighed, thinking it over for a minute. "It's an interesting predicament, to be sure. They would argue that power is nothing without the strength to control it, and and you and others would perhaps argue that power is useless without the knowledge of how to use it properly." Placing the cig back in his mouth, he inhaled and exhaled slowly through his nose.
"I, on the other hand," he spoke more to himself than to the lady. "I prefer to blur the line between the two." He chuckled softly, before swinging the chair around 180 degrees, facing the counter once again. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his wallet, sifting through to grab a few bills, which he placed upon the countertop. It would probably be enough to replenish what he had consumed. Tapping the cig against the side of the ashtray, he stood and headed for the door.
"I've gone by alot of names," he shouted back to the lady, across the room. "You can call me Durandal if you want; Kar'Hallarn is fine too." With a quick wave back to the other patron, he pulled open the door and stepped out into the evening air, walking off down the road.

((Alright see you later.))
Grinning at his words she smirked feeling that she too liked to walk the fine line between the physical and the arcane. As he spoke of his name she blinked finding the mention even more deja-vu than prior.
"Good evening to you"
Waving as he departed for the evening the realization of whom the man was dawned upon her as if she was struck by lightening.
"Wait a minute...Durandal....Kar' Hallarn. No...it couldn't be...but the signatures are similar..."
Shrugging she smirked supposing that stranger things had occured. A similar experience had happened to another individual whom she had come to know.
Well I guess...I could say the same has happened to me.
Shrugged she turned back to her drink sipping it in silence.

::The ever-familiar presence of the wolf demon can be felt to the east, some distance away from the massive building towering over the even more massive forest surrounding it. It is rapidly approaching, however, not idle in any fashion. Within only a few seconds, that presence is so close as to be obvious to those sensitive to it, though it is no greater than that of a normal man.
Coming to a long and skidding stop, Deity is sliding sideways, right foot-first out of the woods and into the clearing around the Tower. He is thankfully able to halt himself without tearing up the ground or his outfit, a passing little smile on his face. Standing up straight, he starts dusting himself free of leaves and small twigs, his close-fitting clothes easy to brush off due to the lack of wrinkles and folds. As Deity does this, he picks up an unpleasant scent in the air, sniffing into the air as his head tilts back a bit.::
....what....th'hell...?
::Letting the strange smell guide him, he ascertains the location to be approximately the bar area. Blinking with confusion, Deity begins wondering why someone was smoking inside. The Tonepian reaches down with taped hands to grasp and turn the knobs, pushing both double-doors inward and stepping inside. All he sees is Epithany. Needless to say, her scent is infinitely more pleasant than the tobacco smoke. Releasing the doors and coughing into his raised right elbow, the Mystic Orinian catches sight of an ashtray with cigarette ashes still inside of it.
A cringe apparent in his expression, Deity aims his right palm at the small plate, focusing a psychokinetic barrier around it to prevent any ash from wafting out. He then lifts it from the bartop, guiding it gently over to the trash bin behind the counter. He then drops it inside, wondering who would have placed it in his bar in the first place.
His body shivering lightly as he sticks his tongue out in an exaggeratedly disgusted manner, he redirects his full attention to Pith nearby. Clearing his throat, Deity lifts and folds both hands behind his neck. Most of his face, as usual, is hidden from direct sight as he speaks to her in his usual soft tone, moving closer to the girl in a few slow paces.::
...ahem...uhhm...was that yours...?
