Esiri glanced back to Felicia. She found Falcon to be very amusing and wondered if he'd been left in a bird's nest instead of a dragon's!
"I'm pleased to meet you as well, Falcon," Esiri laughed.
Esiri chuckled and shook her head slightly, pondering over Felicia's question. On the one hand, she really did need allies here on the mortal world, but at the same time, Esiri knew of the reaction of most when they saw a Shadowdancer in action or were told of what they could do. Just one "Jump" through the shadows and people think you're in an assassin. Plus there was the fact that Esiri was from the Spirit World. She doubted most would believer her!
But still...
"My full title is Esiruil Ladarien, Shadowdancer of the Spirit World. I act as an emissary for the Spirit World to Alteron. As you can no doubt gather from my title, I hail from there. Wether you choose to believe me or not is your decision," Esiri said, facing away from Felicia.
There. She'd said it. She was sure that Felicia was looking at her like she'd sprouted a demon head next to her own. And Esiri wouldn't blame her one bit.
(To answer your question Senshisushigirl, I haven't the foggiest idea where the forest is located. I'm hoping Dragonxx5 and I can hook up with some of the other players and find out where we are. crying You're not the only one lost! crying . If worst comes to worst, we could always PM the others and ask them what's going on, though I'd recomend that as a last resort )

((AH! Where's my character?! The only thing I know is she's with a giant bird that I think is red...?))
Marilla held onto Sunray's mane gently as she looked around at her surroundings. The bird they had been flying alongside flew a little faster. So, Sunray seemingly folded up her wings as a strong wind whipped up and she seemed to gallop in the wind, until reaching the bird. Marilla glanced down and behind at the people following.
((Is anyone RPing the bird...? I am not sure, and I think it's an NPC so correct me if I am wrong...))

((Otulissa, you're at the head of Aurora's army. In other words, if you were to look behind you, you would quite clearly see soldiers running every which way and attempting to organize themselves while a massive (massive equals over 100 feet long) black snake writhing in the middle of Aurora's forces.
As for Senshi and silvr, just say that you both are near the forest. As for WHICH forest, there was no further description besides that it was a forest on the way to the coast. So just make the assumption that the forest you are in is the exact same forest, and you can hear some of what's going on. It makes a little more sense that way as well.
I'm just trying to get everyone together so that no one gets bored, and the thread stays active.))

"Hmm..." she thought about what Esiri had said as she lightly scratched Falcon's chin, not seeming to be very surprised. "So the spirit world's where the dead go?" she asked as she looked up at the sky. "If so, I wonder if you've ever met my parents.." she said as she continued to softly stroke Falcon's scales. "What's it like there? Do all who die go there or are there different places?" Felicia held back anymore questions that she had for the time being, waiting for Esiri to answer her first ones before she piled up any more for the poor woman.

"Don't stop what ever you do," she willed the stag as she hung on as best she could. She wasn't looking ahead anymore, trusting that her friend would not lead her inot any further danger. She held her breath as she saw dorain attack the omnius skull. Once Dorian slashed through it she ready her self to try to gather her people together again. She had taken a deep breath and blinked when she hear a shriek that was so un human it gave her goosebumps. A huge black as night serpent had risen out no where and made a swoop right through the middle of her army.
The choas just rose to a new level. Soldiers here dropping ther weapons and running along with most of the villagers, "STOP!" Aurora shouted as loud as she could though she knew they would never her screaming at them over the rest of the mob. She was going to try again when her voice faltered as she took in the enormus serpent. Fear began to creep through her. Her hands began to tremble. Noticing this she willed herself not to sucumb. Findecano(the stags' name) began to change direction making a wide trun back towrads the middle of the army. "What, I told you! Oh!" Aurora began to shout to the stag who quickly snorted as if annoyed and headed straight for a group of soldiers that were holding thier ground.
It had just dawned on Aurora that as the snake swooped thorugh her army, none of the men that should have caught up in the jaws had left their spot. Most have froze and many of the villagers scattered, but there were a few that were loking around in shock, Nothing had happened to them. She had to rally her people. As she drew a deep breath she saw that the sanke issued something that began to darken the sky. Still feeling sure that she was right, she drew her breath again. "IT'S NOT SOILD! IT'S AN ILLUSION!" She yelled at the top of her lungs as Findecano blazed past as many people that were trying to flee.

Esiri was silent for a moment. This young woman actually believed her? Then the questions started to pour out of Felicia.
"Er...yes. The Spirit World is were the dead go at first. And I'm sorry, but I wouldn't have known if I'd seen your parents or not. Only those who judge souls would have that knowledge. From judgment, souls are either sent to paradise, within the Spirit World, or to what mortals call hell, which is in the Demon World," explained Esiri.
"And as for what the Spirit World is like...there are similarities in the politics, trade, and economics between the worlds. The landscape is entirely different though. Spirit World...changes constantly, so there're very few consistant places," said Esiri," But where I was raised, it was beautiful. There was rarely any bad weather and there was plenty of things from my brothers and I to do..."
Esiri trailed off and shook her head. What was she doing reminiscing rambling on like this!? She could practically feel the dissaproval she was sure her superiors would feel if they knew she was imparting such information to a mortal. Plus, she had a body to track!
"I know that my name is hard to pronounce for most people, so you may call me Esiri, if it is easier for you," Esiri said," but for the sake of time, I suggest we hurry to find whatever slew that shadow."
(Appologies to people. Since Spirit World wasn't totally explained in the intro, I'm taking some liberties in describing it. If it needs changing, LET ME KNOW!)

Felicia thought that over for a few moments, letting all the information sink in. "I see.." she murmured as Falcon climbed down off of her head and onto her shoulder. She then nodded, looking to Esiri. "Alright Esiri, let's go find out who, or what, slaid the skull shadow." Felicia's tail swung to one side as Falcon made a chirrping sound out of excitment.

Esiri smirked and then abruptly turned her head to the left
"Did you find anything Tynan?" Esiri inquired, feeling the presence of her shade. "I'm sooorry M'Lady. I could not fiiind the one you sseeeek. However..." "Yes?" "There seeeeems to be an army, beeeeing attacked by another sshadow creature...I sssuggest that you and your new friendssss go there...they seeeem to be in trouble..." "Thank you, Tynan. Stay hidden until I call for you, and for last time time, CALL ME ESIRI!"
Tynan gave a silent spectral chuckle.
"As you wiiish M'Lady Esiri..." Tynan smirked as his presence faded.
Esiri growled something lowely under breath. It was something along the lines of ducking made.
Turning to Felicia, she pointed to the left and said, "I hear the sounds of battle coming from that direction. Let's go" And as she started into a run, Esiri could indeed hear the growing sounds of screaming horses, men, and a feminine voice shouting commands.

Felicia watched her as she turned her head, raising one of her eyebrows as she studied her carefully. She blinked when she made a growling sound and couldn't help but snicker at her a little as she gently pet Falcon's head. Felicia lightly bobbed her head from side to side, wondering what had taken Esiri so long to hear the battle. Felicia quickly picked up the pace, breaking into a run and remaining beside Esiri while one of her hands clutched onto the hilt of her sword. She heard a faint swishing sound and quickly cut in front of Esiri while drawing her sword so that the unique light-blue blade was now visible as she quickly knocked a few stray arrows that would have hit Esiri out of the air. Unfortinately there were more than she had realized and she wasn't quick enough to block them all. A couple hit her, but luckily none hit here in any vital areas. She slumped a bit for a moment before reaching to pull one out that had stuck in her shoulder, revealing her dark-blue blood on the end. Felicia dropped the arrow to the ground and pulled one out of her arm than from her leg before she turned a bit to look at Esiri. "Are you alright?" she asked, not seeming to be too concerned with her own wounds. By now Falcon was flying around in circles above the fight, cawing with agitation.

Marilla kept on riding Sunray, occasionally making idle chatter with her pegasus. Sunray usually simply broke the chatter, making things even more boring for Marilla. Anyhow, Marilla didn't complain. "Um...so, Sunray? Any idea what kind of bird that is?" Marilla smiled at the large red bird.
"A red bird," was the white pegasus's simple reply. Marilla sighed and glanced around at the forest, and then turned her head to glance at the long string of soldiers behind her.
She sighed once more and said, "Well, Sunray, sorry if this is annoying. But I am trying to pass time by talking, so please don't cut our conversations short so quickly!"
Sunray merely neighed dismissively, and shrugged. Marilla then started talking about trees, and Sunray just nodded every once in a while, hardly ever talking herself.

Hearing the princess's cry, Paal stared up at the giant snake, bearing down on him like a train. One eyebrow shot up, but he had to believe her... there wasn't exactly anything else he could do. He let the sword and shield drop to his side, staring up at the snake. If the princess was wrong, he was dead where he stood... right about... now...

Like a javelin, the snake completed its arc in the air, and was suddenly plummeting straight to the ground. Straight towards Paal.
The way the serpent moved was phenomenal. It was almost as if it were flying, as it seemed that the weight a beast of its girth should have was none existent, and it screeched through the air like a raptor. Just before the snake struck the grass, its body snapped upwards, driving its sleek form parallel to the earth. Its ferocious maw swung open, growing larger and larger. Its jaws unhinged, until it seemed that (when viewed from the front) there was only a thousand fanged mouth rushing towards the soldiers, black fog spewing from the orifice as it pressed onward.
The villagers before the terrifying sight simply threw down their weapons, howling like wild dogs as they ran in all directions. Even the most resolved of soldiers had hesitated. Some joined the others in their flight.
Yet Paal remained standing. Tall, resilient, and unyeilding.
If it had been any more than an illusion, the snake would have swallowed Paal whole, its wicked fangs slicing his figure apart as he tumble into its throat.
However, the man felt nothing. Not even a gust of wind as the image roared into, and then through him. If his eyes were open, then there would be only suffocating blackness around him. A night so devoid of light that he was truly blind to the world around him.
Unseen to him, something was changing inside the creature. As the tail end began to run through Paal, it was no longer just an image.
Paal would hear low, rumbling laughter when the invisible wall of force, the true nature of the being, crashed into him. It came with the speed of the serpent, and the momentum of the same. It would be a sensation unlike anything the man had ever felt, and he would most likely thank the Gods for the armor he was wearing.
It would feel like being hit by a car, carried off your feet and thrown into the air in an instant.

Just before the impact, Paal threw up his shield arm, turning away slightly. Nothing happened. He dropped the shield, reopened his eyes, and saw... still nothing. He relaxed. The princess was ri- Noise interrupted his grateful thoughts. Laughing? Why would anybody be laug-
Wind. NOW there's wind. There was also a fair bit of pain on his chest and limbs. His feet also weren't touching the ground. Now why might that be? He still felt relaxed... and it hit him he was disoriented. He had been hit by something.
A moment later, he found himself rapidly throwing himself to his feet. Blackness that enveloped his eyes was now fading to stars. His sword lay a foot away from him; he picked it up as he clambered to his feet, whirling about, as the beast had clearly passed him. He was alive. Sore, but alive and uninjured. His vision was still blocked by the stars in front of his eyes. He heard his own voice shouting to stay out of the way but not to flee too far. Not an ounce of concern for myself, he thought. Something wasn't right; he was feeling as though he were not himself. Furthermore, the stars were being replaced by the blackness again. He couldn't drop now... he was still needed... by the people...
He was going to stay on his feet... he had to... they... needed... him...

Esiri nodded. She was touched that Felicia cared enough to block that attack, and wound herself in the process. Awkwardly, she gently touched Felicia's shoulder.
"Thank you, Felicia Drake," Esiri said.
Then quick as lightning, Esiri drew both her scimitars, and slashed down more arrows coming their way. Not missing a beat, she quickly drew a few of the numerous darts she kept on her person and launched them at the places where she saw the arrows last. There were a few cries of pain as numerous figures fell out of the trees and slumped to the ground.
Hearing their comrades fall, more soldiers stepped out from their hiding places towards the two women. One foolish soldier, or brave, Esiri supposed, raised his sword high and ran screaming at the two of them. Poor man never knew what hit him.
Esiri was a blur as she danced around him, her scimtars whirling past, almost too fast to be seen. She stoped behind him. He smirked and raised his sword to strike her in the back, but stopped as he realized he no longer had an arm to raise, in fact, why did the world look like it was split in tw--
The soldier, quite literally, fell to pieces. Blood glistening and dripped from Esiri's twin swords. Esiri turned to face the rest of the lot.
"Anyone else? Or do my companion and I need to continue?" She asked the silent group.
Esiri knew from Felicia's movements that she was no stranger to combat and what Esiri did to the unlucky soldier would probably be light compared to what Felicia would do to the rest of them.

Felicia nodded at Esiri's thanks before lightly leaning against a tree, tearing some of her clothes so she could bandage her wounds. All the while Esiri was busy making the poor soilder into mince meat, and Felicia was so used to such sights that she didn't even bother to look up as the smell of blood flooded her sensitive nose. Afterwards her gaze turned to the remaining men as a dark grin spread across her face. The men were already panicing at Esiri's display of power and speed, so Felicia's hungery stare pushed them over the edge. They turned to run but were shocked to find they were about to smack right into one of the people they were running from, Felicia. "Here little boys.." she quickly reached out, catching one by the front of their clothing to roughly pull him closer. "What's the matter..?" she purred darkly before shoving her free hand into the frightened man's mouth and swiftly pulling it back out as a trail of blood followed through the air and the man screamed from pain. "Cat got your tounge?!" she hissed, holding up his tounge for him to see as blood spilled from his mouth. Felicia tilted her head while looking at the sobbing man that she was currently holding up. "Oh..? Want it back?" she asked before shoving her hand back into his mouth and deep into his throat, listening to him choke as she quickly pulled her hand back out. She gave the other men a cold glare as they stared, shocked by the scene unfolding before them. Felicia turned to look at the man she was holding up again who was barely alive by this point. She tore off his armor, exposing his chest and stomach before roughly shoving her hand into his stomach, twisting it painfully before violently pulling her hand back out and letting the man fall to the ground. Dark blood dripped from her hand and she was also splattered all over by the man's blood as she turned to glare at the remaining men. One of them fainted as the rest scrambled away, despritaly trying to avoid a fate similar to the man on the ground. Felicia had the urge to hunt them down and spill more blood, the strong desire to keep them from going anywhere near Esiri consuming her. But she controlled herself, making sure that she didn't just run off and leave her on her own. After all, Esiri was the closest thing she had to a friend, she didn't want to lose her. Not without a fight.
