Welcome to my Medieval Fantasy roleplay, in the vast land of Alteron. The continent of Alteron, broken up into five kingdoms, is the home to hundreds of thousands of humans, elves, dwarves, and other creatures, along with the animals they live with. For more information, read on!

Note: I have abandoned this roleplay, but if you wish to continue to roleplay you may. For now no one PM me any intros. To join just put your character intro in a post and start roleplaying at will.

Introduction

The land of Alteron is vast. It spans over a large patch of an entire hemisphere, and mostly stays to itself. It is ruled by the gods of the Spirit World and plagued by the demons of the Demon World. There are other continents, but Alteron has no means of reaching them or even knowing that they exist. As far as Alteronians are concerned, they are the center of the world. Alteron itself is split into five kingdoms. They are named as follows: Alteronian Kingdom; Rideron Kingdom; Southbound Kingdom; Waterways Kingdom; and Devil's Peak Kingdom. They are each located on a different part of the map, their geography greatly affecting their development.

The Alteronian Kingdom was the first kingdom fomed in olden times. It was marvellous. It's capital, Alteron City, is located in a plains region in the northeast of Alteron. The lands and other cities that belong to it stretch across to the northern and northeastern shores, south to the southern outskirts of the northern plains, and west towards the north of Alteron. This kingdom, when it was completed, was the center of everything. It is now home to the largest city in the world, it is a business center for the most part, and also holds many religious conflicts. But, as always, there are people who wanted a change. The sailors and fishermen did not get very good business, because of the lack of rivers in the Alteronian Kingdom area. These were the first to break off of the Alteronian Kingdom to create their own. The sailors and fishermen took a pilrimage along the northern shore of Alteron. During their trip, they created many maps. They discovered a mountainous peninsula along the northwestern shore. They mapped it and later called it Snake Tounge Peninsula, for it's shaped like the spiked tounge of a reptile. After their trip around the peninsula, they were starting to feel let down. They had already turned around the northwestern shore and were beginning a southern trip on the western shore, and they had found nothing. After a few more days of traveling, however, they found paradise. A vast river filled with a surplus of life, and on the riverbanks, lush trees and plants and creatures that the sailors had never seen. After one look, they knew this was their home. The sailors mapped the area and found that the river started in the midwest. It went inland only a few miles, then shot southward for a long stretch of it's length. For this southward path, they called the river Southbound, along with the kingdom they formed around it. Southbound Kingdom was formed. It is now a major trade kingdom and has a surplus of fishers and hunters. Current King: George Liam Hawksbow II.

The next kingdom came in shortly after Southbound reached its full stretch of land, which was not very far off of the Southbound river. Southbound got crowded really quickly as time went on, and though it still had plenty of life to fish and hunt, there were some who wanted the quiet life. These people travelled by sea, just as the first Southbound Citizens did, along the southwestern shore. they also discovered a peninsula, but it was nothing like Snake Tounge. It was longer, and curved like an animal's tail. Hence, they called it Creature Tail, for more reasons than that. This peninsula was densely forrested. It had, and still has, the thickest forest in all of Alteron. Some of the sailors went in to investigate, only one came back, and he was missing an arm and was covered in blood. He told them, with his last dieing breath, that the peninsula was filled with extremely dangerous creatures and plants. Then the man died. The sailors sailed on, heeding the warning and mapping the area from the sea shores at a distance. Fortunately, no sea monsters. The sailors continued, now along the southern shore. In the south of Alteron, they discovered their home, a river that branched into dozens which then branched into dozens more, like a large tree of rivers. They named these rivers the Rivers of Oak, and there they created the kingdom of Waterways. It is now a quiet, peaceful kingdom that provides for itself and rarely interacts with other kingdoms. Now came the Kingdom of Rideron. It started with a group of people in the Alteronian Kingdom. They hated the Alteronian King, they thought him to be an unfair ruler, but they knew they could not make a kingdom for that reason unless they had a better ruler. Then they found him. A young lad named Arthur Rideron, still in his late teen years, was the greatest leader in all of the kingdom to them. He alone led this large group of people on a pilrimage southwest, towards the center of Alteron. The large trek of the journey was plains, but that was horrible for them when they ran out of food. There was very little life here, and what did live here was small. Arthur Rideron organized the hunters and had them cook and feed the food to the children, elderly, and sickly people, taking none for himself. This act of leadership put Arthur even higher in the peoples eyes, and they were more eager to follow him. After a long trek through the plains, they reached a forest. It had many creatures, which kept the people from going hungry, but some of the creatures were dangerous. Arthur kept the children, elderly, and sickly in the middle of the mob, and put a few soldiers with shields among them to block an arial attack. Then, in the surrounding area, the people were hunters, soldiers, and people who knew the different types of animals and plants, which were dangerous or not. This was a very successful plan, and soon they reached a large clearing in the middle of the forest. It was a hill, the entire forest, with the clearing being the summit. The people didn't notice it because the hill was not steep at all. Arthur stood at the summit, slightly above everyone, and said, "Here is where I will form my kingdom!" Cheers of reply were heard. The Rideron Kingdom was formed. Rideron today is ruled by the Rideron bloodline. It now trades with Southbound and Alteron. It is where you can get something from both places. It is also a major hunter's paradise, for no cities have been build in the forest. The forest belongs to the animals (there are some safe paths to other cities in the kingdom). There were a group of people in Alteron City. They were the outcasts of society. These people were part of a cult that practiced witchcraft and dark magic. They were considered pheasants. This cult and its members needed a place to practice their magic whithout being profiled for it. So, they traveled to the only part of Alteron that wasn't mapped by someone else, the southeastern tip. They needed only to travel direclty south to reach their destination. After crossing the plains, they came to a place. This place was special, mountains in the north, forrest on the west and south, and the shore to the east. Everytime they tried to enter, however, disaster occured. Rockslides, lightning striking, spontaeous fires, falling trees, only to name a few. They believed the gods were protecting this place, so they travelled around the area, calling it the Hidden Valley. They continued their quest and came to a vast mountain range with the tallest mountains in Alteron. The tallest of these they called Sky Mountain, because they believed if you were to reach the summit alive, you would surpass the sky. Noone has reached the summit to this day. This mountain's range is where they made their kingdom, calling it Devil's Peak. It is completely secluded. Frankly, none of the other kingdoms knows what happens in there. Current Plot: The Devil's Peak Queen has created an army in secret, 3 years in the making. It is larger than the sum of all the other kingdom's armed forces together. She has used her army to attack Waterways, and easily destroyed it. Now, here eye is set on Rideron. She knows the kingdom is nothing without it's leaders, so she has sent a powerful assassin to murder the monarch family, her army following a few hours behind. Will this be the start of a war?

Appearence: Blood has dark hair, pale skin, and blood red eyes. He wears tattered black clothes (as a disguise because he's rich) and has an ancient black sword that is almost as long as he is tall. He is thin, but not too thin, he has some muscle.
History: Zane was born in the Hidden Valley. His parents had magical powers that protected the area. They liked to be alone. They had a large mansion and raised animals and grew crops. They provided for themself. Zane also had a twin sister, and she was his best friend. When he was 8, he discovered that his blood red eyes helped him see at night and that he could shapeshift into animals and talk to animals. His sister started acting a little strange, but Zane ignored it. Then, the disaster occured. A fire burnt down the entire house. Zane found his parent's bodies and buried them, but he never found his sister. All he has to remember her by is a ruby necklace that was her prized possession. He spent a year searching for her with no luck. Then his greed took control of him. He became an assassin at age 9. He started with small jobs, but got so good at it because of his powers that he went professional. He got rich really quickly. He had a carpenter build a mansion in Creature Tail. The carpenter died after building the house, a wolf got to him. Zane lives in the mansion now. He has many animals that he takes care of, and the dangerous creatures of the peninsula fear and respect him. Though he is rarely at home, he loves his home more than anywhere else in the world. Blood is now on his way to Rideron City to murder the monarchy.
*Weapons: His long black sword. He found it in Creature Tail. It is made of an ancient, undestructable metal, forged by the gods.
*Powers and Abilities: He can shapeshift into any animal and can see in the dark. His shapeshifting also gives him superhuman smell, speed, and sight in his human form.
*Personality and Interests: He loves his animals. He also enjoys making herbal rememdies. Zane is cold most of the time, but become his friend and he is loyal to the end.
*Other: Of his many pets, his best friends are a small black bird named Felnia, a grey wolf named Croator, and a pheonix named Destiny.

Appearence: Tall for his age, with a lean body. He has jet black hair and jade green eyes. Wears a black trench coat over black clothes.
History: Born the son of a swordsmaster of the Alteronian Kingdom he was trained from a young age in the use of weapons. His natural skill with swords quickly became apparent. Given his first swords at the age of ten he killed a man for the first time at the age of eleven. Horrified at the sense of pleasure that he got from killing Aero ran away and wandered the world, helping those that needed help. He is currently in Rideron, resting after years of wandering the Kingdoms.
*Weapons: Two Short swords given to him by his father when he was ten. They had been passed down in his family for generations. They had the power to change shape and size to be whatever the current user is best at using, and they change color depending on the weilders emotion.
*Powers and Abilities: almost godlike speed with his swords.
*Personality and Interests: Depsite being a master at the art of killing, Aero hates it and avoids killing whenever possible. A kind haeated sold he can not ignore someing in need of assistance, no matter what the cirumstances. he often finds it hard to control his inner demons, preventing him form having ever letting anyone get close to him for fear that he will harm them.

Other: Example of writing/Desription: John was a little seasick so he stepped out of his cabin and onto the main deck when he spotted a man of a six-foot height shrouded is darkness at the bow of the ship. He glowed a pale white under a sea coat, as two reddish blades are held limply from his sides. Suddenly the swords burst into flame illuminating his transparent face with a captions colonial style hat sitting on the top of his head where silver hair flows down his shoulders and back. The mans ghostly figure suddenly came to life. He grimaced and stepped back passing over the edge of the ship vanishing. John spent the rest of the voyage.

History: Sabastian Norrindale was once a heroic knight of a pure bloodline, sworn to protect his kingdom. Unforunatly, he was fated to find a shrine of a Tainted god. A shrine that drove men to turn on his brothers and stab then in the heart. He was one of the few survivors of a blood bath. Hundreds lay slain by himself and four others, The five survivors used all of the're inner strength to destroy the Shrine. But not without a heavy price. The're bodies and souls where Tainted by the Abyss that the shrine housed, and The're Humanity was lost. Amongst his misfortune Sabastian had brought doom to his kingdom and ruin to his once good name, due to his misdeed during the course of the crusade. He had become a living cancer, until fortune finally brought him a gift from the heavens. A fallen angel had come to him from a lake at which he had tried to drown himself. She made him a pact in order to save his soul as well as her's. Once the pact was made He changed, Sabastian was reborn into Dorian. The angel, Xellphius had become his shadow and life companion. The Taint that once filled his soul now Dances with The Divinity of an angel. And his life mission focused on redeeming himself for every Life he took due to the Tainted shrine.

History:When the world was forged by the mighty hand of the 'Great Creator', Dyonos soon came into existence, though not as a human. But as a sprite. He soon figured out the signifigance of his existance. He developed powers throughout the decades, and now has been able to take the form of a human. The only flaws are his Glowing silver eyes, and his pointy ears. He is usually in a hood covering his face and wonders the land studying human beings to live among them one day. He has been seen by a small handful of humans so none believe of his existance. Though the ones who have seen his features and his powers call him 'The Feirce Deity'. His emotionless expression while calm and his angered expression are what give the fierce and his own entity gives the name Deity. A fearsome supernatural being. He now travels the earth giving interaction a try.

*Powers and Abilities: His sprite for can heal and his human form can perform many light based attacks with his blade.
*Personality and Interests: He is quiet yet curious, and helps those who need it and punishes all who deserve it through his own point of view for Justice.

History: Phar is the lord of a clan of people that are a strong as orcs, smart and agile as elvs, and ficle as humans, they have amused him over the years but some times they bore him so he sends them to fight the surronding towns and villages (the towns and villages are now heavily fortifide) Phar fights at the front line killing and turning others to his cause with charm spells. In battle he and his people that he named Asurkin use a deadly combenation of spell and strong close quarter fighting. other than this phar has sired a family of heroes and villans.
Weapons: claws bite in dragon form swords in human form.
Powers and Abilities: ice breath, magic
Personality and Interests: Phar charms people whom he wants to charm but is cold and unforgiveing to people that displease him. he has a verry long atention span for he has lived for the entire exestance of the earth and watched the creatures grow.

The following was discovered near a burnt out campfire in some distant part of wilderness near the Kingdom of Devil's Peak.
We are the dust that clings to the tomb. The ink in the water at dusk. The shades in the corners of the darkest rooms. Shadows on the dead man's husk.

Fleeting as the sunshine as it drowns away from day.

Dark as the Void.
Silent as space.
We are the Heralds of the Night.


Nox was born of darkness to darkness, as all Shadow Fiends are "born." His guardian shadow was Llecthlix, from whom he was shaped. That is how shadow fiends are born; greater shadows, as their power grows, seperate a mote of shadow from themselves, and cultivate it into a fledgling Shadow Fiend.

Before I continue, it should be noted that Shadow Fiends are not evil. From my experiences with them, I have seen that they are as diverse in morals as we humans are. Their primary calling is the tending of, and summoning of the Night. That is what the Gods created them for.

However, Nox is a peculiar exception.

Since his conception, Nox thrived on chaos. Not in the form of Anarchy, but in the mayhem that ensues as the day turns to night. One of the Cardinal rules of the Shadow Fiends' society is that they are not allowed to open their eyes until the sun sets. Nox was the first to break this rule. As such, he was shunned from their society, and forced to continue on his own. His existance from that point forward has been quite an unusual one.

APPEARANCEIn order to co-exist with the humans, Nox manifested his ethereal shadows into a corporeal form, and took the shape of a human -one of the darker skinned varieties that we might find in the kingdoms of the Southern Desert. Through my persistent encounters with him, I can describe him as standing at nearly seven feet tall, with a near God-like physique. (However, it is my firm belief that this is merely his docile form. I have yet to see the Fiend in combat.) In this form, he has glinting emerald green eyes, a startling yet beautiful contrast with the ebony color of his skin. His hair is long and loose, coming down to the center of his back, and the darkest color black I have ever seen in a creature's fur or hair. It seems to negate the sunlight and (as some various but otherwise successful experiments have shown) magical light sources a few inches from its surface. Nox's fingernails and toenails are of a similar color, very dark black -perhaps naturally. I would estimate his weight at being near that of two hundred pounds.

Some other observations that I have noted:

- Nox can travel during the daylight hours, and appears to be unphased by the brightness of the sun. However, when he stumbled upon a Solar Flare arcane trap that I had set the night before, it caused him great distress. Perhaps he has become accustomed to the sun's ambient lighting?

- During the night hours, it appears that his physical form can slip into and out of shadows with no time in between.

- He carries a blade with him, and uses it with fearsome prowess. It also appears that it has the same properties as his clothes (see bottom note)

-He wears clothes, but they must be made of some manner of enchanted thread, for everytime he shifts from his human form into the shadows, they remain upon his "body."

I must continue my studies if I intend to learn more about this fascinating creature. May the arcane powers grant me wisdom in my endeavors.
This was all that was found of this untitled mage's research. No other documents were found.

*Weapons:
Nox carries a massive sword with him. The blade measures nearly five feet in length, and nearly two inches in width. Nothing is known of what the blade is made of, but it almost certainly not human crafted. The metal's surface swirls and clouds like smoke, and has a dark bluish-onyx color to it. There is no crossguard to the sword. Instead, the blade tapers into the handle of the sword, which is wrapped in worn leather. On the blade, apparently inlaid with silver wire or something similar, is the inscription Zxaxthlir

*Powers and Abilities:
-Nox's "body" can 'burst' into shadows, causing him to dissipate from view and travel along any area where there is a shadow, or darkness.

-As was stated in the Mage's log, Nox has another form. His 'true' physical manifestation. It cannot be described here, but it can be said that its look earned Nox's race the name "Shadow Fiend."

-At night, Nox can call on other shadows to combine with him, or shapeshift, allowing him to change in size.

*Personality and Interests: You will have to find out what he is like through contact with him.

Appearence: as you're looking about the room you're eyes come across a dashing young lady, shes 5 foot 9 inches tall , adn has long glossy red hair, you notice her face with bright blue eyes and a plae complection, next yoy see what the young woman is wearing (and its not much) on her top hath ,she wears a bright crimson coloured top with coins attached, and on her legs she wears a long flowing crimson skirt, atttached arround her waist she has a tassel that flows when she moves across the room.
History: A nomadic gypsy by birth, she has now decided to move around the knowen world on her own acoord and take what littel trade she knows with her, this girl can dance, fortune tell and aslo pickpotect if needed, she has had a bad reputation for being very flerty, when waterway was destoryed her fammily got caught up in the war, and most of tehm perrised from starvation.
Weapons: staves and bows, this lady has a strong arm on her and can hit a target from over 100 feet away.
Powers and Abilities: she can charm the birds from the trees and dazzel people with her danceing subeing them before she takes a hit at them
Personality and Interests:she likes sweet smelling flowers and has a intrest in magery, she has learnt how to converse with animals from her traning in the camps

Occupation: Various odd jobs picked up now and again when she passes through somewhere with enough people.
Appearence: User Image
History: After her parents were brutally murdered before her eyes, she was forced to live on the streets for several years before a young man took her in. They got along very well for a couple of years, but when his wife died he became miserable and took his anger and other emotions out on his adopted daughter, and because of the way she looks most other people never wanted to become close to her or see her as an equal; she was often beaten bloody by complete strangers. Eventually Felicia grew old enough to leave and did so, wandering through various places to get her by. Because of her past riddled with misfourtune and agony, she has become very wary around other people and is reluctant to trust them. Even so, she is usually very kind towards others and if befriended will be incredibly loyal. But be cautious; if she becomes too distressed, another side of her that has developed will show up and all hell will break loose. Felicia can also sprout large black angel wings in an emergancy or if certain emotions take over her. She can heal to an extent, but can't bring someone back to life. She can also take the form of a large black dragon or a smaller version, which is a little bigger than an average-sized wolf.
*Weapons: She does carry a sword with her and of course has other weapons, like daggers for example, hidden in various places on her body.
*Powers and Abilities: Well, she does have some mental powers, but they usually only show when she's incredibly angery/upset and switches over to her other self.
*Personality and Interests: She can be very shy most of the time, avoiding people as much as possible yet sometimes she is draw to them. For the most part she's very kind and will help someone in need. Felicia becomes extremely protective of those she cares about and is very affectionate towards them.
*Other: hmm...well, a description would be good: she has short, dark-brown hair, hazely-brown eyes (except the left eye, it's been damaged and has faded to a cry color), she does have black cat ears but they're on top of her head like in Loveless, soft snow-white skin, and a smooth leathery dragon's tail that's triangular tip barely brushes against the ground when relaxed.

History:

Esiruil is a Shadowdancer, someone who operates in the border between light and darkness, and are nimble artists of deception. There are usually four Shadowdancers at any given time. Two for the Demon World and two for the Spirit World. They are selected for their agility, diplomacy, grace, and battle prowess. Because of the nature of their abilities, many mistake them for assassins and many are wary/distrustful of them at first. Their main job is to relay messages to and from their respective worlds to Alteron and, in Esiri's case, to lend aid in keeping balance in the world. They are only selected if one of the two current Dancers die or retire. Sadowdancers are beholden to no one but whom they serve.

Esiri descends from a long line of emissaries in the Spirit World and has been trained in the martial arts and politics of the three worlds for the majority of her life. Her family consists of herself, 3 older brothers and her parents. Two of her brothers are knights and serve the ruler of the Spirit World, while her other brother is an emissary to the Demon World. Esiri's mother and father are retired, but they are occasionally called on for their expertise.

Shortly after she reached her Majority (adulthood, 100 for elves) Esiri became a Shadowdancer. She is unsure of her new position, but is eager to help the humans in Alteron. Esiri grew up in the Spirit World and has never met a human before. She's curious about them and wants to learn more about their day to day lives. Esiri is also interested in the elves that live on the mortal plane. And upon becoming a Shadowdancer, Esiri gained an undead shade for a companion. The shade, a young man named Tynan, is not evil and talks with her and gives Esiri information that he picks up from the shadows. (What kind of info though is the GM's decision)

The Spirit World, after hearing rumor of an assassin sent to kill the king of Rideron, dispatched Esiri there with a letter offering aid to the king and other letters like it for the other remaining kingoms of Alteron.

*Weapons:

-Two scimitars, the blades are inlaid with golden holy symbols and runes
-Masterwork Whip
-Darts, tipped with a muscle relaxant that paralyzes opponents for 2-4 days

*Powers and Abilities:

-Hiding in Plain Sight: as long as Esiri's within 10ft of a shadow, she can hide
herself from view without anything to hide behind. She can't use her own
shadow though.

-Shadow Illusion: Esiri can create an illusion of a silent image of her choice and
it can only be used once per day.

-Summon Shadow: Esiri can summon an undead shade from the Spirit World to
to aid her in whatever she needs. If Tynan, her shade, is "killed" or if she
dismisses him, Esiri is very weak for one day afterword and cannot summon
Tynan again for 30 days.

-Darkvision: Esiri can see in the dark due to her affiliations with the shadows

-Shadow Jumping: Esiri can "Shadow Jump" 160ft per day. It basically means
that she can travel via shadows 16 times a day. Each "jump" is 10ft, no matter
how small or large to an extent. Esiri cannot teleport from one end of the
continent to the other. She can however, get at least half way there if she uses all
her "Jump" ability for that day. The limitation on this ability is that the starting
and ending points must have some sort of shadow.


*Personality and Interests:
Esiruil is very down to earth and good humored. She doesn't get truly angry very easily, but when she is, well... Esiri has a freezing temper. She knows she's furious when she can't feel her face. Most who've seen her angry don't like to talk about the experience. But temper aside, she's very amiable, persistant in her goals, and easy to talk to. She can also be mischevious. She is in no way naïve in the politics of the world, just the relationships between humans in their personal lives.

As for her interests, she loves to read and reasearch spells and runes (even though she can't cast spells very well). She loves a good challenge, the tougher the better. Esiri also likes to observe and study anyone or anthing that catches her attention. She likes to pull the occasional prank every now and then, but only on those who deserve it.

But still, it left her very quiet and not very talkative like she used to be. Marilla used to be a very upbeat, happy-go-lucky person, but now she is rather quiet and withdrawn.
*Weapons: She carries a long sword with her everywhere, which is usually sheathed since she prefers to use magic. Other than her sword and magic, she is also a sharp shooter with the bow and arrow, but she doesn't carry a bow and a quiver of arrows with her. So that's another reason why she prefers to use magic as her main weapon.
*Powers and Abilities: She uses Light Magic, and is skilled with the sword.
*Personality and Interests: Ever since her parents' death, she is now very timid and shy-looking, though don't misjudge her by her appearance since she can be very lethal in battle. She has a very strong sense of what is right and wrong, and she holds very high moral values. When she is happy, and she smiles, her smile is priceless.
*Other: After Marilla's father died, he left her his steed. He had a beautiful white female pegasus named Sunray. Sunray is very loyal to Marilla's father, and now, Marilla. She isn't really a "pet," since she sometimes doesn't follow Marilla everywhere and runs off someplace herself. But, she is always with Marilla during times of need.

Appearence: Back when he lived in Rideron, Aldhir was the son of a avid hunter and archer. In those days, he learned very basic rules - flow with nature, for it will flow with you.

In this aspect, Aldhir has indeed let flow; his hair is messy, brown in colour, and down to his neck. His face, cut, brusied, and maimed over the years, is a light tan, sheltered from harsh exposure by the foilage he finds to be comforting.

One could say his expression is a continual scowl. One would probably be right. Devoid and robbed of feeling after his father's death, Aldhir's only true expression is a scowl. Laughter, smiles, and the like are but illusions to make others close to him.

His eyes, green a feral, hold a faint intensity in them, as though they once contained as much energy and hope as a star, but burnt out suddenly, leaving only coldness and emptiness. Aldhir's gaze, much to his neutrality, has been known to send some shying away.

Often, one would find Aldhir draped in a large (needed to cover his tall form), earthen green cloak, a hood adorning his head and a tight-fitting green veil over his nose and mouth for camouflage, mostly.

History: Aldhir's earliest memories tell him of his father, an avid woodsman and hunter. From him, Aldhir learned to be efficient, brutal, and how to live from the spoils and bounty of the land. Since the day Aldhir could hold a bow, he was taught to shoot, to carve, and to create.

When his father died at the age of fifty-one, Aldhir, a young man of fourteen was alone. He had no mother in his memory: what little his father spoke of her suggested she was rich -- a stark opposite to the father's lifestyle. In the end, the rift tore them apart.

With the skills he learned in his younger years, Aldhir wandered the lands, eventually fleeing to Southbound, ending up in a small village in the wilderness, where he perfected hunting methods and ways to kill with efficiency. He remained a faithful example of survival until he accidentally killed a small boy with an arrow to the head when he wandered onto his shooting range.

News spreads slowly, but it spreads nonetheless, and soon the story of the Queen of Devil's Peak and the destruction of the waterways spread to the humble village where Aldhir took up home. Upon hearing the news, Aldhir became fearful for his home.

His father's spirit belonged to the kingdom of Rideron, and she bore him through his travels. He made up his mind, setting out to create a new bow and to recover his skills. He returned a week later to his village, a bladed bow, a quiver of arrows, and a fresh set of wounds. Aldhir departed one hour later on horseback with enough supplies for three weeks for the kingdom of Rideron to act as an agent in her favour.

Weapons: A bow forged from the woods of Southbound and tipped in honed blades of steel, Aldhir's bow is a brutally efficient weapon in melee combat as well at range. His arrows, also born from the woods of Southbound, are made to fly true, serrated to cause significant damage to whoever is unfortunate enough to catch one.

Powers and Abilities: Though he is best at home in forests, Aldhir has a hightened sense of tracking and observation, allowing him to track anything with great ease. He is very patient and stealthy if need be, sometimes making poisons from local flora to take down larger and more formidable opponents.
Personality and Interests: Call him a cold, heartless, and deceptive b*****d and you'll be pretty close to Aldhir. He loves the hunt, hates to mar his concentration.

Appearence: Aurora is about medium height to a woman. She isn't exactly thin, she is fit and carries those femine curves well. She has ivory skin, wavy dark chocolate brown hair, and stunning blue eyes.

History:Aurora has always been a bit of an odd-ball in the royal family. When she was little she decided to run out inot the forest. The queen had half the army looking for Aurora when she showed up riding a stag and asked if jumping off the stag's back ask is she could keep him. That was the first of many excursions into the forest. So her father thought is wise to teach her some form of self defense, just in case there was an animal in the forest that she couldn't befriend. So she was taught archery and some swords play. Archery came naturally to her and she porgressed rapicly in it,occasionally entering competions. She began to devolp this wild sense allowing hre to really comunicate with the animals. It wasn't until a few years back that she became an apothecary assistent, running into the local apothecary while collecting plants and herbs. More recently she wants to learn magic, how to shapeshift into animals if possible.

*Weapons: Bow and quiver full of arrows, specially made for her and her sword.

*Powers and Abilities: You could say she has a natural power over animals, they are always willing to help her.

*Personality and Interests: Well bascially her history speaks about volumes about her. She is freindly, very polite, but likes to keep to herself. Though she can be a powerful leader if she steps up to it. When her princess duties call her away from her beloved forest, she enjoys reading up on the flora of the forest, memorizing medcines and poisons. She also plays the harp.

Appearence: It's almost remarkable how plain Paal manages to be. Wearing a deep brown tunic, brown underclothing, plain leather boots, and a dull blue cloak, he doesn't stand out in any way, shape, or form. Even his dark, blackish hair is unremarkable; a little long, perhaps, but quite usual. His eyes are even brown. Beyond the monotone, he has a hint of stubble about his chin and upper lip. The only truly remarkable thing about him remains hidden. His left bicep carries a tattoo, covered by his left sleeve.
History: Paal was always the kid who couldn't do anything, but didn't fail at all. He never shone, never was special in any way. Over the years, he trained as a fighter, feeling it was his duty to fight for his country. Nothing changed; still he seemed a mediocre swordsman, and didn't seem to be on the path to recovery. That changed when he was challenged to a duel. One of his fellow squires, without a doubt the best fighter the school had taught in a long time, somehow worked it out that Paal had caused some incredible degree of trouble for him. Determined to win, Paal trained a little harder, a little more frequently.

The day came; Paal went out to meet his opponent. At first it seemed he was beat; he was hurt and knocked to the ground, winded and with a spirit of defeat. Then, something came to him; everything fit into piece. He stood up, matched his opponent for a while before he dropped again. Despite his loss, he had learned something. Since, he became a back-seat master, and he's quite happy with the attention he avoids.
*Weapons: Paal uses his plain steel arming sword, an unpainted wooden round shield, and a simple dagger.
*Powers and Abilities: Besides being a superb fighter, Paal has the ability to disappear. It's not exactly magic; it could well be partially unnatural, but it's at least mostly his flat-out unobtrusive appearance and his preference to staying amidst the shadows. Either way, if he doesn't want to be seen, he won't; his ability even extends to supernatural powers of detection, frequently.
*Personality and Interests: Paal still refuses to believe he's worth anything. Despite his prowess, he considers himself a beginner and is firmly set in his self-abusive ways. He is not self-pitying; to the contrary, his firmly set path of self-worthlessness has resulted in him becoming a true friend to anyone who will be his friend. Everyone simply seems more important, so he is far more concerned for them than for himself.

Appearance: A teen of average height, plain faced but not ugly. Her thick, brown hair has been inexpertly cut to her jawline. Her pale blue eyes reflect energy at all times, as well as a trace of sadness. Her complexion is tanned, and she has many scars. They are mostly fresh, the most prominent one on her left cheek, arcing around to the back of her neck. She wears what used to be a long skirt, but has been cut and resewn into a pair of baggy trousers. Around the right arm of her white peasant blouse, she has tied a black rag as a sign of mourning. She wears hobnailed boots, and has an aging and decrepit sword strapped to her back by what appears to be a length of fishing line.

History: A resident of the Waterways Kingdom from birth, Aurelia lived with her parents. They lived over and ran a pawn shop with moderate sucess until the Devil's Peak attacked. Her father was called into service by the local militia, but was quickly cut down. Her mother was killed by soldiers as she defended Aurelia, buying her enough time to flee the burning shop. Before she left, Aurelia grabbed the only weapon in the store: an aging b*****d sword with chinks in the blade and a large gray rock for a pommel. She managed to escape the kingdom on a stolen horse, which she rode barebacked to Rideron. She cut her hair with the sword and tied one fe her black socks around her arm as a sign of mourning, and vowed revenge aginst her family's murderers. She has never before weilded a sword, but she is smart and not afraid to fight dirty. She eagerly awaits the arrival of the Devil's Peak army.

Weapons: And ancient b*****d sword. Also, a large, gray, magical stone of immense power, but she does not know this.

Powers: None, really, save a drive for revenge and a complete disregard for her own well being.

Personality: She was extremely naive until several days ago, when her entire family was killed. She is still a joker, but her humor is now tainted by cynicism. She is also stubborn and smart, which are a dangerous combination when mixed with a suicidal need for vengance. She loves ice cream. She has only had it once in her life.

Southbound Kingdom Citizens

History: Mina grew up in a city outside of a forest in Creature Tail peninsula, in the southbound kingdom. Her father was a slayer who kept many of the dangerous creatures at bay. It was the family trade, that was passed down through the generations. Her brothers were trained, but she was not. Soon the creatures of the forest began to become bold and began attacking more frequently.

In doing so, she had lost two of her six brothers. Her father was forced to train her, kepping the tradition alive. She became stronger and talented amongst her siblings. Tragity soon struck on the wake of her twentieth birthday. A large group of werewolves attacked the village and destroyed her family, leaving only her eldest kinsmen, one now infected with the virus. She now searches the kingdoms for a cure, hoping to restore her family.

*Powers and Abilities: Oddly enough, she is well versed in basic dark magic and has much knowledge on other species.

She was once enlisted in the Devil's Peak Queen's army, but managed to get out in time, but not before she did some terrible things...

Now leaving her lycan brother at home to fend off the threat, she travels with her younger sister to retrieve a cure. The only thing is, she's the one who was infected not their brother. He had covered for her, for the better part of two years before they began to search for the cure.

She believes that the lycan clan of their forest are made up of some the sailors who went to explore. That is why their loved ones stayed behind to create the town they lived in, not for the land.

*Powers and Abilities: Werewolf's strength, sense of smell, and speed.
*Personality and Interests: Iurii is introvert and cold, contrasting to her warm-blooded younger sibling. She is very wise beyond her years and keeps tight-lipped about all she has seen in her travels.
*Other: She has the ability to communicate with Corsicus, but does so only when Mina is not present. Her green eyes turn a light yellow when she is pain or when a full moon approachs.

History: After learning of her mother had Waterways destroyed, Amaya left Devils Peak...ran away actually. Her mother has sent some of her soldiers after her, but she always manages to lose them. She is currently wandering around, never having really left Devils Peak, and trying to learn as much about everything as she can. She is said to be one of the most powerful magic users that Devils Peak knows of and because of this, many people wish to user her for her power, including her mother.
Weapons: To large metel disks, one silver and one gold, that are inscribed with magic runes that allows their blades to change their sharpness (from dull to sharp enough to slice though rock like butter) and enebles them to transform into a powerful lunar staff (see second picture).
Powers and Abilities: Very powerful magic user but also uses a different kind of magic than those in Devils Peak that's referred to as Lunar Magic. She has the ability to read and use runology which is how she can control her weapon(s) and even improver her own sences. She is not phyisically stronger than a normal person so anyone who can figure out how to avoid being attacked by her magic has a good chance of subduing or killing her. Lucky for her, that hasn't been a problem yet. Being a magic user, she also knows about herbs so is a good healer and can make very potent poisons that are deadly and most are untracable.
Personality and Interests: She's very smart and loves books and reads whenever she can. Ever since she was little she's wanted to find out what's in Hidden Valley and has been searching for a way to make that possible. Unlike her mother, Amaya is friendly with most people though is cautious about letting anyone get to close to her.
Other: She loves to sing and has a beautiful voice but won't sing around others. When she was home she'd go out to her favorite spot in the woods and sing for the animals.

History: Born in Rideron He was Displaced as a small child by his single mother, he was raised by clerics and Monks who taught him many skills alowing him to heal with herbology, hand to hand combat and mystical healing. at the age 12 A messenger from Devils peak had arrived and the king of Rideron had offered this apprentice of the monks to the people of devils creek to allow him to keep conections between the two kingdoms. For the next Five years of his life he would be taught by all magical leaders Devil's Peak and the queen, as a royal apprentice. Having extensive mistical knowledge from the monks he was quickly able to pick up the darker magic posed to him by the magicians, and sorcerors. By the age of 16 he outranked many of his former teachers. with the hightened ability to heal and travel, and track due to his roal as a messanger, and having to survive the fallout of Hidden Vally and the beasts within the Rideron forest, we was considered a most valuble unit in the queens army.

Doing his job quickly so he can practice more efficently.

History: Leisu's existance is more of a myth to the people of Devil's Peak, he lives in the castle and sees only the queen.
He was born during a thunder storm to a vampric mother, his father was a black dragon that had abondoned his mother and went off with a slut. About a year after his birth his mother died, but that was fine because he could take care of himself by that time.
By the age of four he had mastered dark magic the Queen heard about this miricle child and took him under her wing, training him in every aspect of combat and war, when he was twenty his training was complete and he was so strong that the only power tp rival his was the queen's and few of her friends.
He was appointed Genral of the army that followed the assassin, though he never left the castle and with good reason, he loved being the shadow that even though he was doubted to be real was feared by all.
