Eternal Bestla
Roll: 4
Action Helping anyone within reach and yeeting bugs into hard surfaces

Kneeling on the floor and panting, Bestla didn't realize what was happening for a moment. She felt everything shake, heard Almadel talking, but didn't quite process everything until she glanced up and saw people and bugs floating above her. Why she wasn't floating wasn't really a concern, she saw others similarly lucky. But her need to do something took over and she began to grab what ankles she saw, regardless of who they belonged to. Pulling people down she noticed how the kosopods seemed relatively helpless. And while she could have taken pity on the silly things, her nearly shredded fuku and burned skin demanded otherwise.

Seizing the first kosopod that came into reach, she hefted it and then threw it as hard as possible, belly side out. When it smacked into a pillar she grinned at the squashing noise it made before sliding to the ground never to move again. And the one was enough to placate her bruised ego. Besides, there were simply too many bodies floating around. But she could at least keep them from attacking her again. Gave her time to roughly clean their spit off her legs with a bit of her torn skirt.

Nis Squire
Roll: 1
Action: Floating and hating every moment of it

Right, Nis thought as she found herself floating into the air. I am going to kill Almadel if I survive this mess.

Not that she would actually try to hurt him. But a thorough lecturing about why turning off the gravity was a d**k move seemed to be in order. And even floating she couldn't escape angry kosopods who insisted on spitting at her. A few had even grabbed onto her and sort of hunkered down. Since she didn't want to provoke them when they were so close to her face, she let them be.

She saw random people drop suddenly while others were pulled down. Frankly, she wasn't sure which she'd prefer. Dropping would be fast, but dragging might agitate the bugs.

Guess I'll just hang out and spin here, she thought. She drifted, doing her best to protect herself from floating bugs and then felt something in the air alter. Oh no...

Before she could finish the thought, she was dropping to the ground, landing flat on her back and knocking the wind from her lungs.

oh, ********, that stung, she thought as she gasped and tried to force air back into her body.

Half-youma General Lavendulan
Action:Not doing so good... Hiding and trying to breathe

Lavendulan had been quickly overwhelmed by a number of Kosopods that had suddenly swarmed her. Several latched on to her uniform but one had landed on her shoulder. Being so close to her face it looked a hell of a lot bigger than it actually was. But when the insectoid tried to bite her, Laven couldn’t help but smirk seeing it fail at damaging her scales.

Wolframite would no doubt be proud knowing that to date he was the only one who managed to break them. “Surprise,” she commented as she brushed it off with the back of her hand only to fall to one knee as another bit into the flesh at the back of her leg.

“Son of a-” her swear turned into a snarl as her pupils narrowed and a low growl escaped her.

Her hand flexed before grabbing hold of the offending creature and digging her claws into the soft underbelly of the Kosopod. When it stopped moving she discarded its carcass on the ground beside the one she had brushed off her shoulder.

Perhaps that was not the wisest move as more seemed to have turned their attention onto her.

“I’m not about to get bit again, sorry.” One jumped at her and where it would have previously found a place to hold on to, the alien insect passed through instead as she shifted into her watery form.Lavendulan knew she only had about 30-seconds of magic but would do what she could to make use of that time.

While she would have preferred to use the water whip this was not the ideal place. It ran too high of a risk of damaging a display case or artifact if she missed, that is assuming she didn’t hit a White Moon with it by accident and start a fight with them as well. No, the ball of water would have to do; she had more practice with it anyway and had much more control over where it moved.

One… Two… Three… Fo- Lavendulan counted the successful strikes until the power went out completely, plunging everything into absolute darkness.

Unsettling.

But when the lights came back on and she could see properly again, the sight of those Kosopods and several people, as well as things, began floating off the ground. Why she was unaffected was beyond her, but she planned to take advantage of this gift.

Four… Five…

There might have been a sixth but that one got smart as it shot acid in her direction.

Startled by the sudden burning sensation that spread through her side, Lavendulan hissed in pain as she moved to barricade herself behind a tall case. Her magic faded as she slumped to the floor with her back against the sturdy structure. Not good… not good she applied pressure to the affected area with a webbed hand as each breath felt like she was being stabbed by a red hot poker in the side.

She’d been bitten by Wolframite in several of their spars and felt the effects of his poison on more than one occasion. But this… this was inexplicably different.

It might have been better if she’d not used her magic, then she could have wiped their spit off her uniform or scales easily. And while the watery form might have diluted the acid to some degree she felt paralyzed by the pain and fear of not knowing what to do.

Sailor Acrucis, Super Senshi of Prayer
Action:Floating away

No doubt a few years from now when they looked back on this ‘adventure’ the three of them might have reason enough to chuckle at how this extermination request had somehow become almost like a game of Cricket. The irony was not lost upon her how the Kosopods were bug-like and the game was named after another insect.

As things stood or didn’t stand when the room began to shake, the situation was getting more serious. Without warning the museum lights went out completely. But when they came back on, the room was significantly brighter than it was when they first arrived which left Acrucis feeling a bit dazzled.

To make matters worse, when she went to kick another Kosopod towards Shang, the momentum carried her backward and other foot off the ground. “S-Shang!” Acrucis’ voice shook in confused worry. It was like someone had shunted the lot of them into the scene of Enders Game where the students were in some sort of chamber for team combat and would float around the room aimlessly unless they had something to push off of.

It was an odd sensation and Acrucis very much wished to have both feet back on the ground safely.

The bugs did not seem to be enjoying this sudden levitation either as two more latched on to her, one on her shoulder and the other a hand that bit her out of perhaps fear of its situation. “He-help!” panic rose in her voice as she reached a hand out towards the two siblings before she got too far out of reach.

So much for her offer to help keep them safe when right off the bat she was the one to need saving.

Lt. Brassite
currently: parkour!

The whole place was going crazy with weapons drawn, bugs flying like footballs, and senshi magic lightshows! The queen was also like, running people down with what was clearly and mind for vengeance. Super exciting! Brassite grinned to herself as she heard her general and Mr. Melp talking like they were gonna sue Almond for misrepresenting a contract.

Does space have a Judge Judy? It kinda needed one!

Whoa, Mr. Melp had kissyface magic? How cute! (And sorta embarrassing! In a fun way!) And then things got, like, WAY weirder! The lights were fixed but then ********' gravity was broken? Bullshit! Almond was clearly just playing around with them now! He must've seen somebody knocking over something expensive and was getting his revenge!!

Brassite found herself getting a really great view of the chaos taking place as she floated up and up and up. The floaty bugs were trying to get extra annoying at her too, like getting mobbed by a bunch of acid spitting dodgeballs with too many legs. The floating was actually kinda cool? The friends she was making along the way? Totally not.

Kicking off one, Brassite found herself propelled into a new direction. So she kicked off another, and another, dunking the creatures lower and...well, getting a little distracted by this new found sport. Dodging the acid was definitely not on her cool list, but whatever! It's not like her uniform wouldn't fix itself!

Oh uh...she should probably try moving back toward Chalcanthite, right?

Corrupt Ilmare
Roll:
Action: Looking to pull people down

I will never, Ilmare thought as she realized that she was no longer being swarmed by angry kosopods, volunteer for weird alien missions again. She couldn't imagine why she was one of the lucky ones not floating about, but she was grateful for the slight reprieve.

It was, for sure, better than having angry bugs bite and spit acid at her.

As she shook her head and tried to figure out the best course, she saw a red-headed lieutenant float by and impulsively jumped, grabbing an ankle and pulling. She knew enough physics to realize that either the ginger would come down or she'd float up. Fortunately, it appeared that the universal laws were on her side at the moment.

"Let's get you down from there," she said before a very sudden and powerful order aura rushed over her, leaving her breathless. As she looked up, wide eyed, she saw a woman with wings floating and aiming a bow at the queen kosopod.

"Oh holy ********," she murmured. "They can grow ******** wings..."

Viminal Page of Venus
Roll: 3
Action: getting bit then hovering very briefly then going back to killing bugs

She had to admit, it was actually kind of fun hitting the bugs to Shang and watching him bat them with a satisfying crunch. It was weird to see how his eye hand coordination had improved. Sports was never her brother's forte ... the moment made her feel like she missed something where he was concerned.

The lights went out completely which caused her to pause and led to her getting bit again and stumbling back away from her brother, frantically trying to get the stinging acid off her skin. She knew just from the feel, there would be an angry red mark on her leg. The lights flared so brightly a moment later Vimi had to shield her eyes and she was reminded of whatever attack Tortuga had used in the woods the night the trees attacked.

She was surprised the next moment to see a bunch of the bugs rising into the air and literally floating. She almost didn't notice the tug of on herself frowning to feel herself lift just a few inches and scrambling to right herself, from her place hovering above the found.

"What the hell," she said managing to get back to her feet and fully grounded again to see Acrucis floating and calling out to Shang.

"Grab her," she shouted.

Shangri-La Knight of Pluto
Roll: 4
Action: batting floating bugs then grabbing Acrucis

Shang was focused and honestly rather proud he was able to keep punting the bugs that Vimi and Acrucis kicked to him. He'd been terrible at sports as a child and would never play anything that required him to hit a moving target, but one's coordination improved quickly when it was life or death.

He missed when the lights went out and ending up with one of the bugs on him and trying to bite him. He struggled to get the thing free, but shoved it off just as the lights flared so bright he shielded him eyes momentarily. When the lights dimmed he spun because he didnt immediately see Vimi, but he didn't managed to spot her before he heard Acrucis' panicked voice, spinning to see her floating away.

He barely registered Vimi's voice shouting to grab her as he reached out with his staff to hook her and pull her back. He felt more his sister at his back clearly worried, but he grounded out, "Ive got her ... worry about the bugs, their vunerable in the air like that."

He was pretty sure she nodded and the next moment he heard the telling squish of the underbelly of one of those bugs from behind him.

DMS Irenaea - Senshi of Widow Spiders
Action: going airborne

Assistance had been rendered and Irenaea was grateful to both Hela and Asuka and she went to say as much before the room's interior was fully illuminated.

"Oh thank you Almadel," the words were barely off her tongue when the merchant in question came back over a crackly, static filled unseen speaker to seemingly congratulate himself on a job well done on the lights. Okay, fine, she'd give him credit were it was due. Irenaea was about to check on how her friends were doing before her feet suddenly left the ground. Oh, this was not fine. The gravity that would have kept her rooted on the ground suddenly ceased and Irenaea spun around in the air for a moment before making a note that not everyone seemed to be affected. Great, just great.

Cursing the merchant's bug problem that seemed to have made things worse did Irenaea suddenly clue into a very important trinket that she had on her person. If she weren't trying to do anything but try to stay closer to the ground, it could work if she managed to at least snag something that could work as an anchor.

Pulling out her compact that she had received from Almadel the year before Irenaea flicked the latch open before she withdrew the line of spider silk that she made a move to cast out onto the nearest object which just happened to be a bust of a figure that seemed to be made of marble. Hopefully it would be able to keep her closer to the ground as she still had a bit of an issue with re-orienting herself so that her feet would hit the ground first if Almadel fixed the gravity situation.

The trinket though, something else flashed through her mind before a connection sparked. What had happened to those items that she had traded with last year. Where these kosopods related? Even as she tried to draw herself closer to the ground did Irenaea ponder if things were related. All of a sudden though that was the furthest thing from her mind as her weight seemed to pull the bust off the table and down to the ground.

Oops.

Super DMS Hela
Action: Space is sick do it again!

Well... that was weird, sus even, as the light came on but then everything felt... floaty? Feeling her boots lift off the ground, Hela held her hands out without letting go of her light and started laughing. "Oh this is sick! Irenaea, Asuka look! Space is like broken?!" Or was it fixed because space was supposed to be zero gravity?

She wanted to pull her camera out and get photos but with all the bugs and magic flying around she didn't want her precious camera to get broken. It had cost her half of her financial aid refund and she wasn't looking to have to get a new one if it broke. Trying to get her bearings as she started to sort of float in a slow summersault, she couldn't help but laugh and smile. Okay maybe even with the bugs this was pretty awesome even if it seemed like Almadel didn't have his s**t together as much as she thought he had when she met him last year.

"Hey guys look!" Doing another summersalt, something felt weird and she thudded to the ground. "Oof... malriit" Face pressed to the ground she held up a thumbs up before pulling her face up. "I'm alright!"

Super Corrupt Kafka
Action: Kafka wants off this ride but is at least on the ground

Keeping close to Benitoite and back a bit from both ends of their spear, he was trying really hard not to get clocked by either end as they plaid alien exterminator. It was... not something he ever figured he'd see the blond doing but he supposed it was better than seeing them murder someone.

"I feel like museums, even in space, should maybe have working gravity?" Feeling his stomach churn, the dinner and wine he'd had before things trying to revolt, Kafka was glad that he was still on the ground but the bugs were and he hissed as another one spit at him. Punching the thing, it went floating away rather quickly before he felt his feet hovering for a moment. He... did not like not being on the ground, not one bit.

Whatever romanticized ideas he'd had about space were now far off as he felt part of his sleeve melting as he tried to get the acid off. At least it wasn't where his tattoo was because he was going to be pissed if that got messed up. "I should have stayed in Versailles." Mumbling under his breath, he looked over at Beni and sighed again because he knew he liked it in the city with them. Maybe just not space with the giant alien bug queen that reminded him of a few sci-fi books he'd read.

Eternal Corrupt Beatrix
Action: Punting more kosopods at Ida on the ground

Whatever the alien said, she didn't really care as her armor faded and she felt herself lifting off the floor just a little bit. It was like being in one of those bounce things she'd seen as a kid and she hated it now just as much as she had then.

The plus side, because there was a really good plus side, was that the hoovers were floating making them so much easier to kick and punch. Ida was doing that princess BS and she saw Chrysocolla punting the hoovers at them so smiling that little evil smile of hers, Beatrix pulled back her heel and kicked one of the hoovers (kosospods) full force at Ida like she was trying to win at this mosh pit from hell. "Goaalllllllllllll!

Cackling as she felt herself shift back a bit from that move she looked over towards Meissa for a moment. "Kick em at the big glowing target, it'll be funnnnnn~" It would be good to get them in the habit of not liking order and she was hoping these bugs might have a bit of acid to spew at the princess and maybe land a hit. It'd be satisfying even if she knew she couldn't do much right now with them all floaty and wingy.

General Chalcanthite

Action: Floating, falling? rearranging kosopods~

When the lights came on, Chalcanthite got to see the whole scope of the chaos that was happening and he was less than amused. The feeling continued when he felt his feet lifting off the ground and his arrows floating out of his quiver. At least they stayed close enough so that he could grab them.

Brassite seemed to be floating too and in her attempt to move and nearly thudded into him. Doing his best, now that the bugs weren't trying to gnaw on him, he started shooting arrows, piercing the kosopods and sending them off ahead and away from him, Brassite, and Melpomene. With the area around him clear, he felt much better about things even if there was so much more going on.

"Are you both alright?" Offering a hand out towards Brassite since she was close, he grabbed the rest of his arrows before the floating feeling stopped and he sank back to the ground, only barely avoiding losing his balance from the change in gravity yet again.

General Benitoite
Action: Time to start killing bugs...and protecting the boyfriend.
Roll: On the ground and kicking kosopod a**.

Gravity it seemed was not ready to mess with the small General as he remained right where he wanted - on the ground. He did not have to worry about floating off, which good for him, and after stabbing another bug he let his weapon vanish. A hand reaching out to grab at Kafka and pull the other back to the ground. "No floating off." Calm as could be, despite everything going on, the blond raised a brow at the other.

"I think you'd rather be back in Destiny City...but if you want to return to France I'm sure I can assist with that as well..." Trailing off as he felt a mischevious smile twisting his lips. "I will agree about places like this having gravity that works, if only to keep the items in said building safe." And he was tugging Kafka to his side. "You might want to try your magic again...this is getting out of hand and it would be best if we send this sooner rather than later." Pointing to a rather large bug headed for them...if it could get the floating bit to work to it's favor that is.

When they got home he was forcing Kafka into a shower, to get any acid he might have on his skin off, the other still might need a quick check with a doctor for burns. He was hoping they wouldn't need a doctors visit as his cousin Lorcan might not be pleased with a sudden visit from them, especially concerning alien bug incuded acid burns, Lorcan would hwoever be glad for not having been here with them. Once he was certain Kafka wouldn't be floating off, again, he summoned his weapon and went back to bug killing. "This is why I dislike space, it's never peaceful and simple. It's unenjoyable and filled with chaos." If it could be just a simple trip up to space, to enjoy the scenery, it wouldn't be so bad but these space trips were never like this. The place they were in was beautiful though, that was for certain, and he was certain the outside was just as nice. It just had a big problem...and they were trying to solve it.

"Does this place, the building itself, give you ideas for a European vacation?" Questioning Kafka as he lashed out at a passing bug, the bottom end of his staff hitting the poor bug in the face. "Because I can admit this place looks very nice...but I don't want to be here. Rather somewhere just as nice, if not nicer, and I'm certain you can think of a few places."

Sara Draconia

Deep Space Eternal Selinur
Action: Kicking a few of them, one wanted to get too close and personal, and using his magic.
Roll: On the ground...attacking bugs.

At least when other people started floating, and drifting, he did not. The gravity might have decided to give but Selinur remained planted on his two feet. Tapping his foot in minor irritation with the turn of events, as a big floating by nearly hit him in the head, he was growling as the bug floated by with it's little legs wiggling about in some attempt to propel the rather large kosopod. "This really isn't going so well." And their host was off trying to fix things but it seemed thigns were just going from bad to worse rather than better, no matter how many bugs they took out.

Speaking of taking out bugs...Selinur decided to attack one that was floating by, grasping it and pulling it close enough to put a foot through it's soft underside.

Dark Mirror Eternal Melpomene
Action: Doing the floating thing...cause what is gravity? Bumping into a confused bug.
Roll:

Shocked when he felt lighter suddenly, and his feet lifted off the ground, Melpomene found his wide eyes seeking out Chalcanthite and saw him floating as well. "Ok, at least it's not just me." Shifting to avoid a bug floating by the dark mirror found himself banging into another bug which seemed to be flailing it's many legs while trying to right itself. Watching as bug after bug died, including the one he'd banged into, the dark mirror turned, and twisted, so he could look to the general floating not far off. "Good shooting." Nodding his head the blond tried to kick his legs and somehow swim, or something like that, towards the other.

"I'm not liking this very much...I'd rather be on the ground." Though if they were back on Earth he wouldn't mind the lack of gravity...it was the bugs and space part ruining this really.

Yelping as he landed on the ground, as things seemed to change rather suddenly. "Yeah, I'm...ok." Sore from the landing but he was ok. "I'm not liking this..." He was very glad he wasn't a white moon senshi who had to deal with space, this was a one off for him, Melpomene was certain he would not be returning to space. Looking over to Brassite he wondered what she thought of all this. "You're alright?" Wanting to check in with his fiances lieutenant.

Sara Draconia

Eternal Corrupt Miyamoto.
Action: Mostly on the ground...a few inches of hovering here and there - is not pleased with this nonsense.
Roll:

This, this was exactly why he didn't like space and why he'd given up having a homeworld. Well, this wasn't really the reason but this was one that was being added to the list of reasons why he'd corrupted and why it was a good thing. Space seemed just as bad as Destiny City, if not worse, and he didn't enjoy this sort of magical chaos in his life. The object he'd liberated from it's case was swung at a passing kosopod, one that had managed to remain on the ground, just as his own feet started to leave the ground. Hovering for several second the corrupt was not happy, the glare he was giving proof to that, he had no issue in kicking a passing kosopod even iof it didn't do much aside from earn the bugs ire and gain the bottom of his uniform being spit on. Watching the acid eat up the bottom of his uniform he took a moment to consider killing that bug..but that meant chasing it down and risking becomign airborn or something. It seemed gravity was a bit of a patchwork thing right now...and he was not interested in rising up into the air.

This time when he swung for a bug the item got stuck..inside the bugs body and when the dead bug floated off so too did the item he'd taken from the glass case - damn.

DSS Haik
Action: Amused by the gravity situation, but using it to his full advantage against the kosopods that have been harassing him since earlier. Is turning the ones that are midair to expose their undersides to some clobbering.

Given his current state of damage–patches of irritated skin and quite a number of bite marks–it was hard to believe that Haik could have found any amusement in the situation he was in. There was a sudden interruption in the room’s gravity field, though, and while it surprised him, when he saw the effect of it he couldn’t help the huge, smug grin that spread across his face. He did feel his feet lift off the ground just a little bit, but he was able to grab onto something fastened to the ground and pulled himself back down.

It was only when he was confident that he would stay grounded that he started trying to deal some actual damage to the helpless kosopods in the air. He turned the first one so its underside was facing him, and he gave it a solid one-two combination. It gave a horrid little shriek before going limp and silent. Enjoyment became very apparent on his face then, and he began to do this systematically with each kosopod that was midair and within his reach. He was careful to keep his feet planted, though, in case he got swept up in a part of the gravity field that was currently malfunctioning.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
Action: Rolled 1. Being chewed on by Kosopods and being caught in the unstabilized area.

Sessrumnir hissed in pain as the acid splattered on bare skin. It wasn’t the worst pain he’d felt, but it was uncomfortable and worrying if he couldn’t get it off. He didn’t like the idea of Atticus or Elliot getting covered in this stuff, either.

Heroic, macho answer. Please,’ he mentally scoffed, and winced in pain, as he knocked another Kosopod off his arm with more aggression than he normally would have. It was just that it was biting into his arm and blood was already being drawn.

Not great,’ he answered honestly, stressed even in thought. ‘But I will be fine once these things are dealt with. Thanks.

He was grateful for Alastor’s assistance in getting the creatures off him. He made sure to flip over and squash a few more while Princess made whining howling noises in distress as she monched on some of the hard shells.

Until the lights flickered on. And Princess let out a sudden yelp of distress, writhing like she was trying to get her footing--

Except she couldn’t. Not with how the gravity field had been turned off in areas.

Sessrumnir felt his own feet leave the ground.

It was similar to the feeling of falling and flying and wading in the water below the surface all mixed together. The Kosopods were temporarily forgotten as he very carefully reached his hand down and called Princess back to her home by his side.

I need to get down, please,’ he thought as calmly as possible to Alastor as he reached out a hand to him next. His heart was already racing. He tried not to breathe, and not opening his mouth to talk helped. A little.

He knew Alastor wouldn’t let him just float away. He knew that. And there were so many others floating around, so he needed to just remain calm and not think about how similar it was to other experiences he’d had in the past.

There was a fear that he might pull Alastor into the area with him, but Alastor wasn’t the type to just leave him. Sessrumnir hated it, but also appreciated knowing that they would both dive headfirst into danger to save the other.

He would absolutely offer his starseed to save Devyn.
