Promethei, Squire of Mercury... "********, he thought he had it, but the quiet method just seemed to give it too much time to walk away. Hop away? Whatever. How was it so slippery-- Hearing Imhotep behind him drew a snort under his breath. "Think we could long distance beam one at him? We're like futuristic knights or whatever." Or at least more futuristic than Cybele, anyway, or Earth...

Transcendent Eternal Encke"Wait, now I see it again." And a few other people who also looked a bit lost, but they were going to do their best to ignore them. Wait, weren't three of those the people who weren't talking? Including the priest who lived at their house? Encke would worry about that later.

Transcendent Eternal Anser"Bruh," Anser snorted. "What do you have, super eyes? I've never seen it once." "Lost count of the number of times I've seen it," murmured Encke. "Just need to actually catch it." She supposed this reinforced how hard hunts were...

Dumuzi, Page of PlutoApparently getting it to just come to him wasn't working. Did he have a worthy snack in his subspace? Did jackalopes like energy bars? It was worth a try to hold one out he guessed.

Eternal Myrrha Snoozing was a much better waster of time than hunting. Myrrha blinked her eyes open suddenly before sighing. Still no jackalope flushed into her hiding spot.

Super MeissaMeissa was starting to think this jackalope with the ribbon must have been smart enough to get rid of the identifying fabric. How else had no one been able to catch it?

Squire IrkallaThis jackalope certainly had a keen survival instinct. It must have had some sort of special evasive pattern training to keep itself uncaught after this length of time.

IllyriaThe offer to see yet another world, even one that might be snow-covered, was a boon to Illyria. There could be a lot of fun things one could do on a world that had lots of snow and she gave her whiskers an absent twitching before she trilled softly at the feeling of Beira's hand stroking down her back. The feline wasn't about to turn away that particular pleasant sensation and she arched a little before turning her gaze to the landscape.
"I think that jackalope has to have camoflage powers or something. I mean no one has been able to catch it. I think there have been close calls but so far it is eluding everyone."
As for the vantage point, where she was at the moment, was just fine. She could see vastly better in Beira's arms than if she were on the ground by herself. "I would like to see your world when you have the time to show it to me."
The offer had been sweet and Illyria's want to see Beira's homeworld ... genuine.

Sailor Grieve of GrieveNot bothering to be quiet at all, Grieve stomped through the underbrush, clawed her way up trees like a the most feral and determined of cats, and kicked rocks. She kicked so many rocks, mildly hoping they hit some unlucky passerby, half out of malic and half out of a friendly desire to socialize. She didn't find the ********' jackalope. Or another member of the Nameless. But she did find someone completely and utterly unexpected. A ********> civilian reincarnation. Now a knight. Cybele's? Damn.It was unmistakably him, with his frustrating ********' height and unusual features, now even more ******** up. He either fell into a tractor or into some seriously harsh hands, right? "By Venus's crusty cooch, Aidoneus. Senjasta," the tallest one in the room. As she approached, Grieve had to crane her neck, lift her chin in a way that never failed to nudge at the wary discomfort of instinct. "Do you do the vigilante s**t in this life too?" Though, she supposed, they were all doing the vigilante s**t since Earth was now run by a different authority and apparently, <******** Chaos reigned over all but a single city. But still, Aidoneus and his siblings, their group had a special flavor, one she wouldn't mind seeing rise again. Belatedly, she introduced herself, "I'm Grieve of Grieve, we've a passing acquaintance, thousand years back."

Mechelen Squire of Lysithea With a sigh, Mechelen looked at Halle and slowly shook her head. "I don't mean to be a downer, but maybe we should just give up and see what else we can find out here? Maybe there are some seeds we can take to grow on our wonders? Do you think....Cybele...ian seeds would grow on Lysithea?"
She couldn't see why not...plants were just plants and both planets had soil and could grow plants...so why wouldn't they work in both places?
"I'm really getting tired of looking for the Jakalope, and kind of just want to not worry about it anymore..." Hopefully...he wouldn't think she was weak for saying so.

Squire Halle of Lysithea Considering it for a moment, Halle eventually gave a small shake of the head. "We probably shouldn't. Just in case they're be an invasive species for our wonders. It'd suck to be bringing species back to life, only to have them die to the wrong thing getting planted nearby." As they walked along a barely there trail, he moved a branch out of her way, "Actually, it's good that when we change back into civilians, everything on us disappears, otherwise we'd probably be messing up the ecosystems around Destiny City something fierce." After a moment, he asked, "I hear sometimes plants and animals get weird, I wonder if sometimes it's because of seeds and pollen and tiny bugs traveling back to Earth with us?" Soon, Mechelen would find out just what sort of nerd her current partner was.

Beira, Super Senshi of Loneliness
Beira laughed softly at the suggestion that the jackalope might have the power to camouflage, but given how elusive it had been…
“Maybe in its haste that ribbon fell off,” he mused. “I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between that or any of the others.” It hadn’t had any unique markings so far as he could tell, and though he’d seen a fair few of the jackalopes here and there on the search, none of them had seemed particularly jumpy. No reason to be if they weren’t being chased, he supposed. And if Cybele had unleashed them onto this part of her world for a game he could only assume there were no predators here.
“I’d like to take you, you’ll have to let me scan you in my phone so we can coordinate. But really, dress warmly. I don’t suppose you have Mauvian shoes to guard against the cold? I could carry you there, too. There’s a snowy plain, and a forest, and some caves I’m working my way through. Not sure what else there is to find, but maybe you’ll have a better eye than I do and see something I’ve missed.”

"Pardon?" came the croaked out answer in a voice that was a brittle, sandy whisper, even at his best volume. A far cry from the dark, authoritative, baritone grieve may have expected. Despite his features, or perhaps in spite of them, his face never failed to express his feelings. This incarnation perhaps had more of a range of those feelings than the last. Never the less, where a brow would be if the hair had been less fine and colorless, rose as Hierapolis looked down at the vibrant yellow person in front of him. Then the clarification came - a thousand years ago - and he seemed to nod, as if it all made sense now. It didn't make any sense. And it felt weird that someone would know something about him that he didn't know. As if he weren't feeling awkward already. Still - that's where a little quirk came in - now that there was one person addressing him and holding his attention, the rest was temporarily forgotten. He could handle people outside of his work domain one-on-one with greater finesse than he could a group who had more power, knowledge, and experience than he did. "In this form they call me Hierapolis, now." The reply, while exactly the words his former self would say, was completely different in tone and delivery from how they would have said it. Instead of short, terse, and dismissive, Hierpolis' delivery was casual, warm, an holding a light bit of humor in it, as if he found the situation both exasperating and amusing. In the same tone he continued, "I'm afraid I don't know anything about what I did back then - I hardly know what I'm doing here now." And with that there was a small sound of what may have been a chuckle at the self-deprecating comment.

Eternal Sailor Puck Puck tramped through the forest with a degree of comfort not held by most of the other hunters, being Senshi of the Woods and all. Not that it helped him locate the target jackalope any, but it did prevent him from making a fool of himself amongst the shrubs and trees. Still no sign of that confounded beast. He was determined to keep searching for it though. Maybe to make up for his poor showing at arm wrestling.
