Fae-Fae HP: 45 Action: Morale attempt for Caelyna Damage: N/A Location: D3 to D2
One day, during her time on Earth, Fae-Fae had gotten caught in the rain while surveying the human city alone. It was so sudden - a gust of wind danced around her ankles, and then she was bone-soaked and ice cold. It was one of the worst experiences she had had on Earth, and having Gavaen betray her was a thousand times worse.
Icicles stabbed her mind, her stomach and her heart, as he watched him retreat to the king. She thought he would understand and remember. They were on a mission for their people. It made her so angry she wanted to point her blaster at him and force him to get back in line. He was gone before she could try, however. A foot stomped at the grass in pain and frustration.
That just meant she had to focus on the people she could reach. Her gazed turned North, to Caelyna - weeping hopelessly with the same look she had seen on Gavaen's face. Fae-Fae dashed over to her as quickly as she could. She had to stop this mutiny from spreading!
Caelyna recieved a whistle. Fae-Fae glared at the senshi nearby, before turning fully to her friend. As tension grew in the air, and a look of sympathy hung on the Cadet's face, she dextrously thumbed at her ComTech to retrieve a file. The words that played would be immediately familiar to her friend: they were her own words, in her own voice, from a conversation where Fae-Fae had asked her why she joined the Vanguard, some weeks ago.
“I know a lot of people probably think I did this because of my sister. And, I mean—Vel’s not NOT part of it, obviously? But she isn’t the whole reason, not by far."
Her cranberry eyes pleaded with her comrade as the recording continued to play.
"It’s not about any one of us. It’s about all of us. About our home—Velencya for now, but Velenia eventually. We have to work together, and we have to trust the Commodore and the Commanders, because we have to make the best world possible for all of our people.”
Fae-Fae's expression intensified, and she retrieved another. This time, the words of Lyndin manifested from her device:
"This is a mission, not a vacation."
Her face said the rest. She was begging Caelyna to listen to their Commodore and help them hold the line.
Youma Iolanthe HP: 50 Action: Guarding the Generator as her Captain commanded, double teaming with Wolframite using her Ability Crystal Petals against Hydor Damage 10 (1d10 roll) +5 (Rank bonus) +5 (Magic, Offensive (2/3 uses) = 20 Location: B2
From behind the generator, where no one would have noticed her except for the General King in the corner and her Captain, stalked Iolanthe. The seven foot tall goatuar youma dragged a clawed hand gently over the generator, flipping her long hair over her shoulder as she came into full view. One of those particular little humanoids fired a blaster at her Captain. They would be taken care of in time. It was the senshi that caught her attentions more so, as Wolframite snarled and sank his claws into the foul thing.
How she too wanted to feel their blood on her claws, feel his life pump out over her fingers. She wondered how he'd taste...
Yet, her Captain had given her a command, and she was loathe to go against it. Instead, Iolanthe plucked a rose off of her hip and watched as it crystalized in her hands. "Of course, my Captain," she said, evenly and calm. Her face split into a predatory smile as glowing eyes locked onto Hydor, and then she blew gently on the crystalized rose.
It fractured, shattered, and then shot razor sharp petals at Hydor.
Cadet Neryn HP: 50 Action: Valnyr made a v high diplomacy check, but Neryn's will save was higher. Firing at Valnyr Damage 3 (1d10 roll) + 3 (rank bonus) = 6 Location: F2
Their vision swam with tears as Valnyr tried to plead with them to stay their hand. To defect, and put the people of this world before theirs. No. No they couldn't do that. Put these people above their own? Their own world? Their own home? If they destroyed the generators, who was to say that they'd ever get to go home? If the agents of Metallia were here to protect the generators, then Lyndin had a plan. Lyndin always had a plan, always won, always brought his forces home.
Don't get attatched. For Velencyna, for Velenia.
Trust in your Commodore and Commanders.
Lyndin has a plan, he must. Trust in him and all will be well.
Neryn wiped their nose with the back of their hand, took a breath and the blaster was steady in their hand. Clearly, Valnyr had become soft in their time on Earth. Had become attached. Would put the lives of these people over their own. She was a traitor, a traitor to the cause. To side with these humans...
Neryn couldn't fathom it.
"I cannot let you harm that generator, Valnyr!" they said, lining the sights up.
Vyn continued to glare at the Knight (Andronicus), undaunted.
“Do not speak to us as if you understand our people, or our culture, or our history!” he shouted. “You know nothing of the Commodore, you know nothing of the Vanguard, and you know nothing of Velencya! The Commodore has kept us safe for hundreds of years, longer than any of you have been fighting your war! He has led us and cared for us when our King has failed! He lives and breathes for Velencya! If the Commodore says the Negaverse is not here to harm us, then we will heed his word, and if he requires that we die here, then we die! For Velencya!”
And then, because Vyn knew Aliez so well, he was able to reach over without looking, turning off the safety of Aliez’s blaster.
Of course the Negaverse would be involved. Typical. And they thought they were tough s**t, picking on little aliens, and a Super Senshi.
Ammersee sawSava and her group in the distance, and his brother just a bit further than her. He was on his way there when a Venus Knight rather rudely elbowed him and demanded he help her. She had a good reason, of course--someone looked like they were s**t out of luck.
He looked at the group he knew, clustered just a bit further south, and looked at the battered Super Senshi just in front of him.
Ugh, fine.
The youma was the easiest target, so when he ran in he swung his half-length trident as hard as he could at her, and channeled his magic as he did so. (Chiming bells tinkle, illusion magic darkens and target is trapped in a vortex of water/cut off from outside world and can create a sense of alarm and concern while it feels like water is crushing down on them; OOCly you can choose any of these to play with if you want!)
“Are you okay?” he yelled to Hydor as he tried to put himself between the Senshi and Iolanthe.
Aventine, Knight of Venus HP: 100/100 Action: Attacking Wolframite with Knight Magic Damage: 5+7+5 = 17 Location: B2
Aventine had absolutely no issue with grabbing the nearest person to her and charging to the generator nearest to her. Should she have attacked the generator? Sure, she loved breaking things. Was it more important to demand the attention of the Half-Youma Captain before he skewered that Super Senshi? Probably.
She didn’t have a great long distance weapon, or awesome magic, but what she had, she could make due with--and she hoped that little dog boy was more sensitive to her perfume than most people were. Even if he wasn’t, it still had the distinct ability to inspire a euphoric, love at first sight sensation towards her for as long as she channelled.
“I hate that your ears look so soft, that should be illegal!” She wanted to touch them, she was close. If he didn’t look so dangerous, she might have. “Why are you even here?”
After the grand entrance and the rush that came with throwing around Rakovanite's weapon, Sylvite took a couple seconds to size up the group that was already gathering around the generator she'd been told to protect.
There were a few senshi. There were some people who she assumed were the aliens, with candy colored skin and weird outfits. Not the main target, here, she'd been told, and Sylvite was cool with that.
There were much better targets here. There were knights.
There were way too many knights for Sylvite's liking. That was okay, though. Right now, she could do something about them. She could feel the pulse of the generator behind her, making her skin tingle and her hair stand on end in the best kind of way. She had energy. She was ready for this.
The chakram was for Van to call back. With a grin, Sylvite summoned her own daggers to her hand.
The ground shook, and Sylvite snapped back to attention, eyes locking onto the Knight who was attacking her precious generator with his gross magic. One of the aliens seemed to be trying to stop him already, so that was good, but still.
Not cool. Not cool at all.
Stepping forwards with a wicked grin, Sylvite stabbed a blade towards Newgrange.

Viatrix, Guardian Cat of Encke HP: 50 Action: Urging Ran to a nearby generator to give him something to punch, will circle back with her senshi later Damage: -- Location: E5
"Easy!" chirped Viatrix, hopping up from the ground and leaping onto Ran's senshi outfit whether he liked or allowed it or not. Encke seemed minutely relieved when she took over, and Viatrix lifted her paw in a brief wave over Ran's shoulder at both him and Pendour. She fully made her way up to his shoulder, letting out a quiet, "Oh! You're almost as tall as Basi!" before turning her attention out towards the generators.
She pointed out three of them.
"Don't go too far, but it looks like those generators are, at the very least, something the Negaverse likes. So. Let's tell those generators to suck a**." Definitely talked to Anser too much. "There's a prince at that one," she pointed to the one diagonal up from them, "and I think there's a lot of guardian cats at that one," winced as she saw one of them looking not too good, "and there're two generals over there," pointed to the third, then.
She headbutted him gently.
"Pick one! I'll go with you."

Captain Prehnite HP: 162 Action: Conversating: admiring work well done. Damage N/A Location: B2 - Prehnite will not be leaving this square under any circumstances. AutoBonus (For my Memories Sake 1d10 Dice +4(Faction) +5(Rank) +10(SpecialBitchBonus) )
Admired work well done, and this? A sight that filled his soul, this was why he loved youma so much. Purity in motion, in purpose. He watched with slide of emerald gaze as Wolframite lashed out - lethality in tipped daggered strikes. Iolanthe, glorious to behold - as she stepped out and stepped up to take her own pound of flesh in delicate grandeur.
He couldn't have been more pleased.
He would've turned the whole of the earth over to them, if he had his way. Let the beasts of the earth and loam of the soil - in all it's pure, devastating, nature - have free roam of it.
Distracted slightly from his musing by the begged cry of the one creature clutched over the other - aliens - insects - and if there was a better name for their kind? Mabye if they survived he'd be willing to learn it. "She'll live." tsk'd down at the pair. "He's being handled--- the same as anyone who lashes out will be? You should maybe have your dear comrade in arms put her safety on, before she misfires again." because catching her with his first strike? Accidental, and the second had been a bloodless warning.
He wouldn't be so kind with the next.
Stepped off from the pair, took stock and stance, readied himself to catch whichever being next came close enough to be worth taking a swing at - tracked the squire and knight who rolled in swinging at his pack.
No need to respond to this! Just slotting it here for flavors till after the next.
General Jet HP: 200 Action: Attacking Super Cybele Damage 10 (roll) + 7 (rank) + 5 (faction) + 10 (special mission bonus) +1 Article of Strength = 33 damage to Cybele Location: F2
Jet looked up when he heard Aquamarine’s voice through the earring. He’d felt the Princess, of course, but he hadn’t bothered to see what she was doing yet. It looked like she had her own group and her own trouble to deal with, which was fine with him.
Several were already trying to attack the generator. One of the aliens even, although there seemed to be some confusion as to what was going on amongst them.
It was good to see Cymophane there. He wasn’t necessarily worried about the numbers, not when Queen Laurelite was right there, but it was more troublesome when it was just a few against a whole bunch of White Moon.
Keep an eye on her while you can. Looks like a few have her distracted at least, he spoke to Aquamarine through the earring. He thought about attacking the Squire (Aogashima) who had been guarding the alien with some kind of iridescent light, but caught sight of a Senshi that he was pretty certain was the one Sylvite put into the database.
He turned his weapon on Cybele, bringing it down quickly to try and stop her from attacking the generator again.
“I’ll dispense of the traitor first,” he sneered, speaking out loud for Cymophane’s benefit, as well as Aquamarine and any others around him.
Aliens. Of course there would be aliens in Destiny City. He’d never seen this kind of alien before. If any of them had shown up in Russia, the government would have likely already killed them off. But this wasn’t Russia, and he had a job to do instead of thinking about how ridiculous all of this was.
There was a Squire that looked like it was pretty friendly with one of the aliens, but she was making the mistake of attacking the generator.
“I do not think so,” he grunted as he took his pretty useless weapon and threw it at the Squire (Aogashima), hoping to do at least some damage to her while she was distracted. Maybe the alien friend would get annoyed and attack him, but that would be something he’d deal with when it happened.

Transcendent Eternal Encke HP: 100 Action: Torn between many people, stressed, also moving to Caedus Damage: -- Location: E5 -> D4
Maybe Pendour would be the one going after him.
Ran's question was met with a bit of minute dismay as he found himself torn between leading the group of them to a generator and staying where Caedus was in his sight. His guardian cat was on it, hopping onto Ran's shoulder and offering to take him to the generators. Alright. He didn't have to move.
Didn't have to.
Didn't--
He didn't like not moving.
Pendour would probably recognize the signs of his anxiety spiking; his usual bounce became something of a jitter, and the icy look he was leveling Lyndin with wasn't nearly enough to sate that. Not with Caedus there. Not with Andronicus speaking to the cadets like that in an attempt to sell why this was wrong.
To Pendour, he murmured a quiet, "s**t," and then a, "I can't just--,"
He couldn't.
Maybe he'd regret it later, but he marched right into the area with the big machine and reached out to put his hand on Caedus' arm. His other hand was put up in an attempt to show the cadets that he didn't plan on doing anything to him or Lyndin.
Sparta Page of Mars HP: 50 Action: Attacking a Commander, bc Sparta is just like that Damage (1d10 roll) + 3 (Rank Bonus) + 1 (Non Magic Faction Bonus) = 14 Location: D3
This whole thing seemed a little weird when he first showed up. First off, why was one of the generators smaller than the other? Why not have all the generators the same size? That seemed suspicious, including the lack of a generator to the north. Which was also odd. It was entire possible, and Sparta was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, that they'd only brought six large generators and one small one, and didn't have the bits and pieces for anything else. Still though, wouldn't you like... shift them a bit more so it was more of a circle?
Seemed sus, like something in a video game for a boss battle or some puzzle.
In hindsight, maybe he should have expected the wave of Chaos. It was all too easy, too quiet, after all, and all his video game paranoia told him something was going to go down.
What he hadn't expected, regardless, was the Commadore to tell the Vanguard to protect the generators from the White Moon. Weren't they here to destroy Chaos? Why would they side with them? (Also was that a Queen!?) People started moving, Negaverse attacking those around the generators and some of the Vanguard turning on their own. There was so much going on, Sparta was at a loss until he noticed one of the Vanguard Commanders.
"What the hell is going on? Why are you all siding with the Negaverse? I thought you were supposed to be destroying Metallia?" he demanded, coming up with a thrust to their back. They were being betrayed, by people who'd promised something too good to be true. What was the real plan here? Try to awaken a dead senshi?
Maybe he actually should have stayed home this time...
Lupu Knight of Saturn HP: 100 Action: Attacking generator in B4 Damage 9 + 7 = 16 Location: C5->B4
Lupu had followed the group, sticking close to Malus and Necro, worry on his face and evident in how tense his muscles were, but he watched as danger came up, and winced as everyone seemed to think it was a good idea to attack Adria of all people. He didn’t know the senshi very well, but...give him a break. The whole situation was a Grade-A shitshow, with some of the aliens looking shell shocked, and some attacking and others turning on each other.
...But that was what chaos did, wasn’t it? Turned brother against brother. Split friends. It ruined lives.
He saw Sava join the fight and felt a small sense of what must have been relief. At least she was doing well. She hadn’t been by the house as often as she had, though he knew Malus still saw her.
Following everyone else’s lead, he began swinging his bow at the generator, a fierce expression on his face.

Corrupt Super Sailor Nembus HP: 75 Action: The literal representation of the crying on side emoji Damage: -- Location: F3
She did not want to be here.
Nembus knew it would look bad for her not to show up to a call from her superiors, especially one of this stature. The sheer amount of auras around were nauseating. Order, Chaos, it was enough to overwhelm her and have her hugging herself when she felt and processed it versus actually stepping forward to help with the attack.
She did that for a few more moments before attempting to step forward and assess the scene.
Aliens. She didn't understand why they were being friendly with the aliens. Was supposed to listen to everything the general-sovereigns and Queen Laurelite told them, but she also remembered how much she had been told the White Moon were invaders from outer space. They were protecting their planet. Why were they ignoring the aliens now? Some elaborate double-cross?
The sheer pressure of the auras was even greater than it was at Ashanite's fight at the park around the fountain, and it was enough to p***k her eyes with tears as she remembered the tumbling of events after that.
She needed to get out of the general-sovereigns' viewing range, at least. Didn't exactly want to step into the range of the squire and the small senshi, though.
Character name, rank, and a link to their journal: Cadet Caelyna HP: 50 Action: Moving to D3 and stabbing Sparta Damage 3 + 3 Location: D2 -> D3
Caelyna trembled, torn in a million directions by differing loyalties. Pulled by her new friendships, by this beautiful planet and its sunsets and its skies. Pulled by her old loyalties--by the wisp of her sister's voice; not directed at her, just barely audible over the din of battle, but still there.
Do the right thing.
What is the right thing, Caelyna wanted to scream. How was she ever supposed to know?
But there was Fae-Fae, kneeling in front of her, offering her--
Offering her--
Her own--
Words.
"It’s not about any one of us. It’s about all of us."
Her eyes drifted up, and she looked, and it was just in time to watch Sparta attack Velyria from behind, as her own words, reminding her to trust the Commanders and the Commodore, and Lyndin's reminder that this as a mission, rang in her ears from Fae-Fae's ComTech.
Cold, icy clarity descended over Caelyna, and she pushed herself to her feet, wiping her eyes. She didn't have tim to whimper and cry. She didn't have time to be a fool. She had to believe that there was a good reason for the deception. That Lyndin, who had led them all for so long, still had the best interests of their planet at heart.
She turned to Gelria, and Beira.
"I'm sorry," she said, and her voice no longer shook, and there was a steel in her spine. "But the Vanguard is my family."
And she turned, and ran, and launched herself, dagger first, at the Page.
Transcended Eternal Scylla HP: 100 * Note: (Article of Resilience -1 damage) Action: Moving to D4. Talking to Lyndin Damage 1d10 + 7 + 1 (Article of Strength) + 2(3x)/3(2x)/4(1x)/5(1xmetallic bracelet) Location: D4
Scylla knew her mistake. She knew it as soon as the generator flipped on, really. She had started feeling hopeful, and Destiny City lived for no other reason than to grind down her spirit moment by moment, loss by loss, hoped-for win by crushing defeat.
At first one. Then a few. Then the whole army. And then the sound of Lyndin's voice behind them- Protect the machines. The Negaverse isn’t here to hurt you. If anyone gets in our way, stop them- Even the White Moon.
Lourdes said something that Scylla could hardly hear through the annoyance ringing in her ears, and Scylla noticed the Squire truck it across the battlefield. "LOU-" she started, but the former Negaverser was gone.
And there was Silvera, looking horrified and confused, and Scylla lifted a hand to gently touch the alien on the cheek. "It's okay," she lied with a smile, "We'll figure this out."
Turning to Nephthys and Myrrha, she smiled at her friends, and it was brittle and cold in a way that said she was much more tense than she was letting on. "Will all three of you do me a favor, and go to the generators? Order needs a lot of backup out there. The energy, those auras, this... distortion- I'm worried about our people on the edges. I am going to have some words with our dear Commodore Lyndin, and if I don't like those words, I guess I'll be releasing the Kraken." Or anything else she could think of to do to stop this. Looking to Silvera, she added gently, "And I don't want you to have to face him."
Turn her rainbow crystal into a bomb? Replace Lyndin's spine with a tentacle? Try and crush that command console to death? There were others already there, some yelling at the impassive alien, and while some part of her screamed she should be fighting, another part of her needed to understand what- and why- they had hidden all of this.
Somehow, she still wanted to have hope- the more fool, her.
So she moved quickly, finger spinning across the wind ring as she drew near to the console. Should the Commodore move to attack her, she would use it to get out of range. Her wisp-animal slipped out of nowhere, the otter-badger bounding at her side like a particularly long-tailed dog, and rushed delightedly to dance around Vyn and Aliesz, chittering happily and playfully motioning at the aliens with a massive paw. Scylla looked at Andronicus, with their anger, Encke and Gavaen, standing by their King. Caedus, betrayed and horrified. She smiled to them but otherwise ignored them.
"Commodore." her voice shook, but she managed to keep it (mostly) low and firm. "Tell me this is part of a plan to get Metallia undefended, and you have not betrayed an old friend. Or a group of senshi who have opened their homes and homeworlds to you, who are proven to be able to help bring life again to the universe." Scylla held out her hand towards him, not looking anywhere but at his face. Not even at the aliens, with their blasters. "Tell me this is part of the plan and you just need it to look real- I don't want to have to try and kill you for this." her smile was tight-lipped, wry. "I could have quite liked you. You can be quite personable, and it would be such a waste of a good Commodore."
Big talk from a senshi who was very, very little next to him.
