Jay raised his eyebrows, more so at Arezu's overall answer and explanation on the name, than the irritation he picked up on. He didn't think what he'd said was that bad, so he wasn't sure why she might have been annoyed, but figured either it wasn't related, or it wasn't important-- and if it was, it'd keep bugging at her, and he'd pick up on it, and ask her about it. "Oh yeah? She named herself?" he replied curiously. He'd had pokemon do that, too, so it wasn't that odd, but he got the impression that wasn't often the case. He paused, thinking a moment. She mentioned calling her by her species name for a 'really long time'.... "What made her decide ta change what you were callin' her, if'n ya don' mind me askin'?" he asked curiously. He thought about questioning how long they'd been together, but, that could be a follow up. Given her last comment, he added, with a smile to his voice, "Y'all encounter another celebi somewhere?"
PJ quirked his head and looked at Gekkit curiously, but turned his attention to Chima at the question, and blinked. "Koda's not my brother," he clarified, sitting down, though he didn't sound mad or upset by the assumption or anything, "And I'm not sure... I don't think so? I haven't seen him do it, before, but I haven't been with them all that long, either..." He trailed off, looking back over at the group, before stretching his maw open in a big yawn. He got to his feet and shook himself, waking himself back up. He wasn't sure why he was starting to get sort of tired here....

Jay's face was surprisingly expressive for someone who was blind. She wondered how he picked up the quirks. Maybe he practiced that raised eyebrow on his sister. She could totally see her and Hakuren doing something like that. "Uh, sort of? Hakuren's basically my brother though. I guess I just wonder what it'd be like to-"have a family"-have a sister."
Arezu side-eyed Jay, trying to pick up on whether he was messing with her with his questions about Cecily, but he seemed genuine. She did laugh when he suggested them meeting another Celebi. "No, nothing like that. She just decided she wanted her own name. I think... well, part of it's probably because she decided to come along with us. We used to only see her once a year or so. All my other pokemon have their own names, so I guess that's why." Well, at least if they did run into another Celebi, it wouldn't be a pain in the a**. Okay, I guess it would be helpful if Suicune had a name. Or at least, I think I'll give Chima and Gekkit names soon.
[ "Huh? Not your brother?" ] Chima looked dumbfounded. Gekkit gekkered, nudging his brother. [ "You know, like Hakuren, or Ai." ] It was rather comical how Chima's eyes lit up with understanding. [ "Oh! Huh. It's funny I didn't even think of that." ] Honestly, Gekkit had been assuming PJ and Koda were brothers as well, but he wasn't about to point that out.
[ "I guess I assumed since Shiisa and Flurry are- hey! Hey, it's Flurry and Sham!" ] Chima perked up as they exited the maze and their furry brothers came into view, waiting for them. [ "C'mon PJ, you should meet our brothers!" ] Chima exclaimed, bounding towards them. Gekkit didn't say anything else, but he pattered after Chima with his own excitement.
[ "Hey squirt," ] Flurry said, playfully grabbing Chima with a paw and pulling him down on his back. Chima laughed and squirmed, growling and batting at the paw before Flurry pulled it away, 'defeated'. Chima scrambled back to his feet, fur all fluffed up in odd directions. [ "Flurry, Sham, this is our friend PJ! We met him earlier, and went in this really cool house and it had these key things and-" Gekkit gently nudged Chima's shoulder to get him to stop blabbing over everyone.

Ducky, while eager to rush into the haunted house, actually wasn't that fond of being scared. Not that he conveyed that at all to Lana. He covered it up by saying he liked the thrill and surprises of such a place. As he expected though, most of the scares in the haunted house weren't enough to really startle him. On the other hand, Lucina was put on edge even but little paper cut out jump scares. The gardevoir stuck close to Dakota the whole time, often hiding behind him. It would become apparent to Lana that Ducky was still being a bit evasive and struggling to actually have fun.
Meanwhile, Daiki was letting jealousy get the best of him as Cynthia seemed a bit too interested in Katsu. The disguised legendary did not seem to catch on at all, but was not putting any moves on her either. It was a neutral but tense grounds.
Eventually, their time at the fair came to an end, the announcement to wrap things up sounding off over the intercoms. Ducky gathered up his tickets, finding some that people had dropped and left behind, going to a booth and turning them in for a bit of a prize. Once Lana was ready - and they had found their pokemon - they left the fair on Katsu's back through a wormhole, back to Hauoli City in Alola. Where Ducky would likely have yet another talking to from Lana.

Jay quirked an eyebrow, but then furrowed it some in confusion. "Haruken... That's yer zorua, right?" he recalled, trying to keep a tab on the names and pokemon at play here. He was pretty sure that was right.... maybe. But, he was like her brother? A pokemon was? Huh... "Well, dunno if havin' a sister is much different, honestly. Al ain't like a lotta sisters from what I've heard, so even if it is, ain't sure I'm the best source fer that," he remarked lightly, smiling at the thought. He'd have to give Al a call sometime.... He missed talking to her, and he hadn't checked in for a while now.
"Oh yeah? Why'd she join yer time recently, if ya don' mind me askin?" he queried, curious. That was... a long time between seeing one another, and seeing a legendary so regularly, but not having it on one's own team... It sounded like there was a story there. But, Jay wasn't nosey-- he was curious, but not nosey -- if Arezu wasn't interested, or comfortable, with sharing, then he wasn't going to press the matter.
PJ looked curiously between Gekkit and Chima as they seemed to discuss some other members of their team, his head quirking to the side. His tail wagged casually behind him, a slow wag as his energy seemed to wind down, but he perked up as one of the pokemon that Chima was mentioning seemed to appear as if on cue, along with another one. He stood up on all fours, turning to look over, but stayed back a moment to simply observe the group. They definitely did seem close... very sibling-y. It reminded him more of how his dad had been with some of him and his siblings before they were given to new families, but that was only because he'd never really had an older brother of his own-- he could till recognize the sort of dynamic, though.
Padding over with interest, he wagged his tail more in greeting, and pawed at the air some, like he had when meeting Shiisa. "Hi" he greeted, lifting one paw higher as he did, "It's nice to meet you!" He sat back down, looking between the two, "You're Gekkit and Chima's brothers?"

"Yeah, that's Hakuren." Huh. Now she thought about it, Arezu wondered if it was difficult for Jay to remember names, without faces to put them to. She thought of herself as being decent with names, but that was only because she only ever actually seemed to meet people one on one. If she met a group of people, there'd be just no chance.
Jay said he wasn't sure how having a sister was different, but that was an answer in a way. When Arezu thought about it, she admitted that for Hakuren it probably didn't matter if she was a boy or girl. She did wonder sometimes if that was why his human illusion was always that of a girl. He certainly looked like her sister, especially the version where 'he' wasn't wearing a costume.
Jay asked about Cecily, and Arezu floundered. "Uh," she said eloquently. Well, aside from how in the past she and Hakuren hadn't actually been free to be with Celebi anyways, it just made sense with everything that had happened. She...definitely didn't want to get into it. "Hakuren and I started traveling about a year ago, and when she found out she wanted to stay close to protect us." And she and Hakuren wanted to keep her safe too. There was much more to it than that, but, "It's a lot nicer this way, at least."
Flurry's eyes flicked from PJ to the humans (specifically Jay), and then back to Pj. Then he did a double-take, blinking in surprise at Koda. At his side Sham snorted, and answered for them, [ "Yeah, I'm Sham and this is Flurry." ] He considered helping Flurry out by asking about Koda, but in a very brotherly way he decided to not help at all because that it would be rude, to talk about Koda right after PJ had been introduced. Jay lapsed into silence at that. If he were a seeing sort, he might have nodded to at least express that he heard her and absorbed the information, but he didn't even think to hum as he considered that. So, her zorua was like a sibling? He wondered if that was because of the illusory powers, or just how long they'd been together, and their general dynamic. It seemed that Arezu had quite a few interesting histories with her pokemon, though, as he turned his head to listen to her response regarding their celebi as well. "Hm... Well that's nice've her. Certainly seems y'all are pretty close," he remarked with a smile. It sounded simple enough, though he still sort of wondered how they'd managed to have annual meet ups with a legendary to begin with. That being said, as curious as her background seemed to be, he wasn't going to pry further. "Did you have any plans fer any've the tickets you got, by the way," he added thoughtfully, because now that he considered it, he wasn't really sure what he was going to be doing with his.
PJ nodded, pawing at the air again. "Nice to meet you guys!" he reiterated. He quirked his head to the side, still smiling, when Sham mentioned him being like a "mini Shiisa", and looked back over at the other two as they replied. To be honest, he had sort of missed her being recalled, but it made sense. "I wonder if I'll be that big when I evolve," he mused, quirking his head to the side again. He looked back to Flurry, ears perked. "You look just like Koda! Well, mostly," he remarked, trying to sort of... return the favor? Of likening him to another of their teammates? "Do you like music too? I think that's why Koda has those headphones, anyway," he remarked, though considering the uniqueness of their situation with their trainer, who knew what the reason was. Speaking of, Koda was more focused on Jay, and perusing the area for ghosts, and didn't seem to have even noticed the new arrivals just yet.

Rose wasn't entirely sure how she got separated from Reina. They had entered the corn maze together and yet she ended up getting lost. The red head kept looking around for the woman that she had arrived with, but to no avail. It appeared the fair was closing up, and Rose certainly didn't want to be left on the nature trail afterwards, so she turned in her tickets for a flute - which was all she could afford with her small amount of tickets - and quickly escaped to the south, reaching North Lumiose, which Fynx reminded her she still needed to challenge the gym leader there.

Kenjro rubbed his chin annoyed. Had he gone this way before? No, but then again. The old man had been perpetually lost in the corn maze on his third run through. He spent too much time thinking on how to retaliate against the punk who caused him so much misery. He inevitably came to the conclusion that Dallas was far too dangerous for him to deal with at his current state.
He looked at the starlit sky once again and let out a long sigh. Wait, had it only been night this entire time? Kenjiro wracked his brain. That doesn't make any sense. Certainly I've been here long enough to.. He paused an familiar odor burning in his nostrils. What kind of idiot would smoke in a very flammable corn maze? He turned to see a wall of purple fire angrily and hungrily burning towards him. His eyes went wide and he began to run forward through maze walls and paths to try and escape the death at his back. $#!t! $#!t! $#!t!
Pink smoke billowed through the maze, he could feel the haughty licks of the fire at is clothes. The tickets and plushies burned away in his escape. His lungs burned and he ran for his life. He had no time to think, he had no time to plan, all he could do was run. Flames leapt at him, igniting his costume's silk like like threads. He found himself stripped down to his underwear, with most of the hair on his body darkened from the flames.
Once he was out of the maze, the fire didn't seem to stop. It continued to chase after him. From the corners of his eyes, he didn't seen any stands, people, games or decorations, only the fire crackling at his back. Where the hell is everyone?! In his haste, and concern for the other patrons, he ran into a stack of hay, stocking him on his back. He wheezed in pain as he saw the stack rock back and forth from his impact. A bale from the top rolled off and towards him. He instinctively put his hands up, before unconsciousness took him.
Arezu nodded, forgetting that Jay couldn't see. "Yeah, I was thinking if I have enough I'll get another one of the gs balls." The only other things she'd be interested would be balm mushrooms, or more of the elemental plates. But so far she'd had decent luck finding the plates in the wild, whereas stuff like the GS Ball she was only going to get from events like this. "They help a lot with training." With the way things had been going, something to help her have as many pokemon as strong as possible as fast as possible was definitely a good idea. "Speaking of, want to head towards the entrance? I think that's where we go to turn them in."
