Vaporeon managed to win eight tickets on the wheel of fortune while her trainer lagged behind with his friends. Basil was already looking at some of the other games, hopping up and down from stands, not seeming to really notice some of the disapproving looks he was getting. It was just sort of... natural for him to try and maneuver in a more agile, multi leveled way, given he typically preferred to have access to trees and such that he could climb. Since those weren't really present... the booths were sort of the second option.

The grass pokemon, unfortunately, did not have much luck with the ring toss, scoring only one ring. Vaporeon, apparently, did not feel the same as he did on taking the high road, smirking and lifting her head and tail high as she strutted past him. He tilted his head back, glancing back at her out of the corner of his eye, and accepting the consolation tickets.

Darren continued to laugh wildly as he was able to bring out the competitive edge to Jin, trying and failing to keep up as the disguised Zorua passed him. Darren made a noble attempt to catch up, but he noticed that Sable had tripped and fallen. He would have stopped to help her up and make sure she was alright, but by the time he got close she was already back up and running again. Darren laughed as he took second place for a while, but a determined Sable eventually caught him again and passed him without much of a problem. There was no way Darren would win this race anyways, he'd gone into it expecting as much. He just wasn't nearly in the shape he needed to be to come anywhere close, bringing up the rear a little while after Sable and Jin had reached the base of the volcano.
Even though he was dead tired now from the sprint, Darren couldn't stop laughing, collapsing onto the dirt next to Sable and rolling onto his back, attempting to catch his breath. "Phew! That... Probably wasn't the best idea when we're about to go on a hike up a volcano, but Arceus it certainly was exhilarating." He chuckled. It was too bad he couldn't chug his soda, for one because he'd be too interested in trying to chug it as fast as he could instead of properly balancing the marble to actually be able to drink anything, and for two he'd just taken off sprinting and shaking the bottle around, so it would explode in his face if he tried to open it again.
So instead Darren grabbed his bottle of water and took a few generous swigs, draining a fourth of the large bottle before sitting up and grinning at Sable and Jin. "Ready to go when you guys are." He announced, but for now made himself as comfortable as possible on the dirt next to Sable.

While his pokemon managed a moderate score, Marx grinned at Rose's enthusiasm. "Heh, it kinda looks like it! I guess they wanted to have a ton of stuff for everyone to do on all the islands!" he commented. He looked at all the different games, unaware of his pokemon's current ticket-getting. He wondered what they should do first... and what Shenaiya and Rose were most interested in. "You guys wanna play some games first? Or get food? Find a ticket booth, go to the beach, walk around...?" he asked, already getting excited anticipating all the different things they could try.
Flygon, meanwhile, perked up at the mention of being able to hold it, churring curiously, and then shuffling a little closer, still sniffling at the egg. She definitely wanted to hold it! She still wasn't really sure what it was but clearly Fynx liked it and she wanted to know why!

By the time that Darren reached the base of the volcano and plopped down onto the ground it seemed like the only one who wasn't laughing was Sable and even that was only because she was too busy gasping for air. Even then, she still managed to let out several wheezing laughs as she dug around in her bag for two of the bottles of water she brought. She tossed one of the bottles up to Jin - who seemed to be the least-tired out of the trio, although he certainly was breathing a lot heavier - before opening up the other one and gulping down its contents. The only pause in consumption there was for her was when she had to take several more breaths, and then she just went back and chugged down some more until only one-quarter of the water inside remained.
Her laughs still sounded breathy but Sable was sounding a bit better while trying to grin at the two males."No... No, it probably wasn't... But it was fun~"she managed to say, still trying to get her breathing under control as she spoke. She still couldn't get the laughing under control, and it was possibly worsening as she succumbed to a giggle fit."I... I think I'll be good... As long as there's... No more running for a bit..."she said, then looked over at the disguised Zorua who had guzzled down about half his bottle of water already."H-how about you... Jin? You about ready?"While she spoke, Sable worked on standing back up. She was rather wobbly, but she managed to get to her feet and, with a little support from her illusionist friend, keep from falling onto her face again.
Jin chuckled as he put an arm around his trainer to help keep her from falling. He was quite glad his illusions were sturdy enough for that, at least."I'm good to go whenever you guys are. Let's try to keep the pace slow this time, alright~"Jin said cheerfully, glancing towards the volcano afterwards to scope it out. It looked like it was a heck of a walk and if his eyes weren't deceiving him, some of the paths looked a bit on the narrow side. He was pretty sure they'd still be safe, but he certainly didn't want to deal with the chance of fleeing from someone or something while tired and with a nasty drop too close for his liking.
{{OOC: XD Yep. And now I'm tempted to, assuming they travel together for a while afterthe fair's over, have them hear some rumors of someone committing crimes with vicious Pokemon. Not necessarily Void-affiliated (or Cipher-affiliated for Sable's viewpoint), but the rumors would probably have a spin to them so that someone familiar with either organization could go "You don't think...?"

Oh my goodness... I think I'm gonna have to switch some Pokemon around and catch some lowbies at some point. XD That Eevee and Purrloin are gonna have explosive growth, and that's not even considering Sable's active party... Good thing she's got, like, another Pokemon to switch in and a Joltik to claim. XD She'll need more padding than that, though.

Kail, Lilligant, and Oshawott all stared at the broken net. Stared hard. Kail was twitching slightly-- Lilligant looked shocked, and Oshawott looked fumingly irritated. He had just barely missed catching the Magikarp. JUST. BARELY. Oh, that was not fair. That was just not fair. Basil muttered to himself, glad Vaporeon wasn't nearby when he got an incredibly poor score at the arcade. He collected the one ticket, though, darting out of the arcade and dashing off to find another game. At the very least, he was enjoying the excuse to run around, to practice his agility... Darren gave a light snort as Sable agreed that running wasn't the best idea, even though it was fun. As long as there was no more running they should be good at least. Darren nodded to the Volcano and stood, brushing himself off before starting the trek up Mount Ember.
Tired and admittedly a little peeved at his luck, Bolt attempted the spinning wheel for a small break in physical labor, and managing to hit a 7 to earn him a nicely sized pile of tickets. That was a nice enough change in pace to keep him going. How many tickets had he earned Darren now? The Pichu had lost count.

Clearly quite determined, Vaporeon tried her hand at catching the Magikarp again, though, not too surprisingly the net broke. By now... Oshawott seemed surprisingly unfazed by this. Lilligant bit her lip a bit, looking between the two, and then sympathetically down at Oshawott, before following their trainer onward.

Kail actually smiled as Lilligant stared with wide eyes at the eight on the Fortune Wheel, before jumping up in joy and raising a fist victoriously. He smirked, scoffing in amusement, and reaching over to take the tickets. It seemed their luck was a bit better this time around, and Kail had already decided to give the pokemon some extra food before settling down to let everyone out. It was probably time they all ate, soon, anyway.
