All these girls had to stop giving Dory these little looks - they were playing havoc on his sensitivity towards women. Giving a little snort, he looked to Melvin also, watching him for a moment to see if he would do anything further, tightening the grip on the weapon in his hand. What he would do for it to be Justice instead.
But, the Little Cloud had asked him of something, and as she passed him, he could only give her a curt nod, showing that he had heard her.
After a short pause, he breathed a long sigh out of his nose, going to walk over to Abbi, whilst Chelsea defended. Folding his sleeve again, he went to lightly dab the poor girl's face and eyes, hoping to allieviate it a bit.
"Au royaume des aveugles, les borgnes sont rois," he stated to her lightly, almost prophetically, before realizing that she probably couldn't understand it, giving a little thought."In the kingdom of the blind the one-eyed are kings. Evidentally, since we are all blind, actuellement, I am sure you did not know the knife was . . ." what was that word. He couldn't help but make a face as he scrounged for the translation. "Rigged. Oui?"
"I am sure there is an explanation, I would like to see us live long enough to 'ear it. The bracelets said we only 'ad to shave our numbers down to one, oui?" He offered, looking at those remaining in his group carefully.

In response to Roland pulling the switches, nothing much happened-
- And then the TOP LEFT and BOTTOM RIGHT prison cells doors snapped shut.
Ian would hear a strange buzzing noise, low and steady. A moment later several sharp round sawblades spun through the room, two barely missing him, one slicing his left calf tendon neatly, the right grazing his shoulder. He went down, even involuntarily, bleeding profusely.
A hatch on the bottom right door opened where Wilson stood. A barrage of arrows, all shot in a neat row, whisked past him, barely missing him. The second barrage didn't miss, an arrow buried deep in the Death Hunter's thigh. He went down easily as well.
Roland himself would hear nothing of it. The switches he pushed down swung back into place and nothing else changed, the door behind him still firmly shut.

Kostya at some point did stop struggling. He stopped, and then oddly enough, he begin to sink in supposedly shallow water, deeper and deeper until it was hard for Lucky to get go without being sucked into dark water as well.
The Moon trainee disappeared without another word, leaving Lucky the victor.
Peyton fortunately had chosen to ignore the entire situation in favour of the exit in the form of a door. Next to the door was a button and a sign.
PRESS TO EXIT AND PURGE ROOM.

Explore. Fine.
Otto pocketed the runic gun, giving Lawr another dirty glare before stomping off toward the east wall. He scoured the floor, kicking things around, and felt up the walls for anything; a door, a switch... anything.

Fast as lightning Jack was leaping out of his cell because hello long legs and a very persuasive instinct for self-preservation.
He hesitated to catch his breath, staring at the two cells that had been closed, the two stuck inside. He knew one and did not know the other. Ian had been disturbingly quiet this entire time, but he had remained compliant. They needed more of those around.
He wasn't even paying attention to where he was going. It was survival autopilot. Round every curve was another fork. He slammed his hand into the wall periodically to change direction.
Even without evidence left to incriminate him, he ran.

The cabinet Stormy was checking opened up again. There was a tiny screen embedded inside the cabinet, viewable only from her angle. Static began to flicker across it and then a camera feed of a several familiar Hunter faces. Some were locked in prison cells, others in the hallway. Ian and Wilson were down, bleeding. There were others, Finn, Solomon, Jack and Milo. They seemed to be reacting in various stages of terror.
The camera dipped to underneath the floor the Hunters stood on to reveal a pit of spikes. Long, six-foot spikes sharp and wicked. A timer began to play down from ten minutes.
Everything turned to static again followed by a few choice words.
You can save them if you sacrifice one impure Hunter.
Meanwhile, the ticking in the center of the pile grew a little louder. The shadows shifted to the east again.

Lawr gave Otto a very level look for his comment on killing him. "Listen here now, that's not very nice my boy. You are supposed to be my mentor if we ever get out of here alive."
He wasn't counting on them doing so.
When Gale and Otto were sent away he eyed the dagger briefly and contemplatively before eyeing Sam much the same way. He didn't sit down.
"Just all Deaths together here," he said airily. As he did so, he neglected to mention Charlotte - she looked fragile - surely it would just be a matter of time.
The ceiling began to collapse as he passed, and Lucky had to double back to avoid the brunt of it crashing down around him. He was miserable, wet, and now he was a murderer. This day was just going so well.

She'd found the exit. A door, nondescript and unassuming. There was nothing wholly remarkable about it in anyways, except for the little button and sign directly to the side of it. Press to exit and purge room. Purge. Pale eyes narrowed as she considered the implications, and she glanced over her shoulder before lifting one small hand, finger hovering an inch from the buttom. She thougth about just pushing it, really she did, and the part of her not currently consumed by fear the and overwhelming desire to simply survive felt incredibly guilty about it.
It was enough to make her pause. To turn and search the darkness. If she'd known where the gunshot had come from she might have shouted to let anyone still alive know she'd found the way out, but she didn't know, and she didn't want to draw attention to herself. So she stood with her back pressed to the door, hand resting over the button but not pushing it. If someone happened to make it this far, if it was someone she knew..
There was a metallic groan, and a few chunks of the ceiling rained down. This was followed by the echo of what sounded like cursing in another language. It wouldn't be the first time a building collapsed on him. Something came sloshing up one of the nearby corridors, heading right for Peyton.
The life hunter was thoroughly soaked by now, and bleeding a little from where the ice and the ceiling had been scraping away at his unshielded body. He looked like he was trying to say something but instead he was just stuttering and shivering. Easily chalked up to the freezing water, of course. Not nerves.
He heard the sharp noise that he knew was a gunshot, and he paused, a dog on the alert, and he shivered and considered multiple courses of action.
But Taym had been shot at quite enough in the past month, and in any case, he didn't trust whatever sadistic ******** had set this up not to have just laid a trap for some white knight to stumble into. So he went the other way, and dealt with more crashing ceiling on the way.
