KITTY SAYS: ~
I looked at Rustdawn as I patiently waited for him to say whatever it was that he wanted to tell me. On the outside I looked calm and patient; but inside? I was worried beyond belief. I was confident that he was going to tell me that he had found a mate and then ask me how to tell her. I was sure of it! I was sure because when he was a kit and I was an apprentice, then he had told me that when he found a cat he liked; he would come to me for advice. So that had to be what he was doing. Asking me for advice on how to tell a she-cat that he liked her. Simple as that. So why then, was it taking so long for him to form the words? It wasn't like the question was very hard. My eyes widened. What if he knew that my insides warmed up whenever he was by me? I shifted slightly as I began to panic. What if he knew that I was infatuated? That would be humiliating!
I took in a breath and tried to calm my nerves as he looked back to me. Was that nerves? He looked more nervous than I felt. Why in Starclan's name would he be nervous?
I couldn't help it. I purred when he said I was fantastic. That wasn't anything new. He was always telling me that I was awesome, or fantastic; or something along those lines. He was right though; not about the fantastic part. I was happy a lot. I just didn't see the point in being sad for long periods of time. When he began to talk of the Dark Forest, I couldn't help but laugh a bit.
"Of course not." I chuckled to his comment about not wanting to make a Dark Forest cat mad. When he continued, I could feel my eyes widen. He thought I was the most beautiful cat in Stormclan?! He had Thunderflight, Miraclesky, Moonblaze, Featherheart.... He had a whole lot of gorgeous cats to compare me to; and yet he found me the most beautiful? I tilted my head as he began to stumble over his words.
Reaching out my paw, I gently poked his paw. "You what?" I prodded gently, wanting to hear exactly what he was going to say. I could probably guess where it was going, but I wanted to hear him say it. I couldn't decide if that was mean of me or not.

SilverstarSilverstar quickly returned from the digging, twitching her tail proudly. Her underbelly was covered in mud, but that was no matter. She and Thor had a long conversation, and she'd decided to welcome him into StormClan. Not only that, but there were several ceremonies that needed to be initiated! She leapt atop the Fernhill, yowling, "Let all cats gather below the Fernhill for a Clan meeting!"
As warriors gathered, she continued excitedly, "We have very many ceremonies to take part in today! It is time for new apprentices to be made, as well as a new warrior. Tempestkit, Brisk-kit, Squirrelkit, Glimmerkit, Twisterkit, Blizzardkit, and Lightningkit, please come forward. Ebonysun, Ivorymoon, Miraclesky, Oakbranch, Cedarbranch, Dawnsky, and Whisperblade, please step forward as well. "
Silverstar could see Thunderflight's pelt fluff out in shock. She hadn't had time to groom her kits before their ceremony! Silverstar purred at the huffing she-cat, who licked each of her kits as they passed hastily. As those she called assembled before her, she continued proudly. "From this day forward, until they have earned their warrior names, these apprentices will be called Tempestpaw, Briskpaw, Squirrelpaw, Glimmerpaw, Twisterpaw, Blizzardpaw, and Lightningpaw." Turning to the warriors, Silverstar continued, "You are all ready for an apprentice. Miraclesky, you will begin Tempestpaw's training, as will Ivorymoon begin Blizzardpaw's, Oakbranch begin Twisterpaw's, Ebonysun begin Glimmerpaw's, Whisperblade begin Squirrelpaw's, Cedarbranch begin Briskpaw's, and Dawnsky begin Lightningpaw's." She gave the new pairs ample time to touch noses, her eyes glowing. "I know all of you will serve your Clan well. StormClan welcomes its new apprentices!"
The Clan cheered in unison, chanting all the names. Silverstar joined in joyously, her emerald eyes glowing. As the noise died down, she added, "There is one more ceremony we must celebrate." Thunderflight gave her a curious look, tilting her jet-black head. Silverstar blinked at her softly, twitching her ears. From the crowd, Thor stood, his thick pelt still dripping slightly with mud. "For the longest time, we have been aided by a cat whose determination and strength have served StormClan well. He helped us find the cure for the Madness, fight the Beasts, and defeat the Slayers, and with each passing moon his love for the Clan who saved his daughter in her greatest need has grown. It is time to welcome a cat who has always been a warrior of StormClan since he set foot in our territory. Though Clan blood does not flow through his veins, he has proved his loyalty ten times over. Thor, please step forward."
Thor padded forward, his muscles rippling as he stood beside Silverstar, head bowed humbly. "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name, and therefore welcome him into StormClan as our warrior. From this moment he will be known as Darkstorm. StarClan honors your loyalty and determination."
Darkstorm raised his head, his dark blue eyes glowing with excitement. Thunderflight yowled his name excitedly among her Clanmates.
"You must sit vigil as all new warriors have done before you for the rest of this night," Silverstar reminded him calmly. He nodded and returned to the crowd, flicking his tail."And, seeing as you will be sitting vigil, I'll have Rustdawn, Amberpaw, Peachpaw, and Glimmerpaw join us to the Gathering. Let's move now!"
Silverstar signaled for the patrol to move, bounding out of the makeshift camp with glowing eyes. StarClan bless these wonderful warriors and their apprentices. I look forward to seeing them grow!

Skywhisker My head snapped away from looking at Brisk-kit and looked to Silvrestar. Ceremonies?! My kits! They weren't... I scrambled to the nursery and picked up Squirrelkit by her scruff and padded to Brisk-kit, setting her down beside him. Then I raced to where Glimmerkit and Moonblaze were and I picked up Glimmerkit as well, putting her by her siblings. Then I began to hastily smooth out their fur.
"Momma!" Glimmerkit squeaked in protest.
With the speed that I had seemed to gain in the past few heartbeats I managed to somewhat smooth out the pelts of my three kits before they padded forward to get their new names; my chest puffed out in pride.
-------
I gave a gasp of shock when Silverstar announced that she would take Glimmerpaw to the gathering. But she was... She couldn't. I began to shiver with worry. My baby... My poor kit... She had to have someone constantly at her side. There were lots of cats at a gathering. Strange scents. I looked around to find Silverstar, but I caught the tip of her tail leaving.
Glimmerkitpaw Glimmerkit squeaked in surprise when Skywhisker picked her up and placed her by her kin. Then she let out another squeak; of protest this time, as her momma began to smooth out her fur. Why? What's going on? She wondered curiously. Her curiosity deepened when she was called to step forward. So the blind she-cat padded forward and stood with the other kits.
As Silverstar said Glimmerpaw, she couldn't help it. Glimmerpaw mewled in excitement. "Glimmerpaw!" She was an apprentice now! The only thing was, she had to find her mentor now. Which would prove to be hard, because she couldn't see and she had never scented the warrior before. Ebonysun. Glimmerpaw looked around absently before looking back up to where she heard Silverstar speak from.
Dawnsky I sighed as Rustdawn wasn't saying anything. Well fine! If he didn't want to tell me then he didn't need to. I had a clan meeting to attend. Well, I just had to see my sister's kits become apprentices. I huffed, jumped out of the tree and stalked off.
Settling down, I relaxed a bit when I saw Skywhisker and Thunderflight trying to frantically groom their kits. It was quite funny really. I shook my head and looked up, feeling my eyes widen as Silverstar said my name. I was to mentor someone? Well, if she didn't have my attention yet [which she did], then she would now.
I purred when I was announced for Lightningpaw. I hoped that I would be a good mentor. I padded over to the new apprentice and bent down to touch noses with my apprentice. "Hi there!" I meowed, trying to contain my energy for once.

He watched her eyes widen as she didn't seem to believe him; but most of all he felt like the world stopped moving the moment she gently poked his paw. Encouraging him to continue what he wanted to say.
How would he go about it? Was he just supposed to say that he loved her? Or was he supposed to ask if she wanted to be his mate. Or what? That was one thing he forgot to ask Thunderflight and now he would have to pay the price for forgetting.
Price number one, the fact that he was thinking about it he seemed to be making Dawnsky unhappy. For she left in what seemed like an angry stance. With a sigh he jumped out of the tree as well, listening to the ceremony with half an ear. Mostly he was thinking of how to talk to her. Though he didn't miss Dawnsky getting her first apprentice. Rustdawn purred and got up before remembering that she was angry with him. So he padded to Skywhisker first.
"I'll make sure nothing happens to Glimmerpaw." Rustdawn meowed reassuringly, not quite sure why she was so worried. Then he turned and padded to Dawnsky.
"I love you." He meowed with a shaky voice before padding to Glimmerpaw's side. "Glimmerpaw? I'm Rustdawn, Dawnsky's friend. I'll be your gathering buddy." Rustdawn meowed, leading the way out of the camp; casting one glance to Dawnsky. He wasn't sure how she would take it, but he could not leave for the gathering before at least telling her what he wanted to say. If she was still angry when they came back then he would try to make her laugh; just like they used to. Skywhisker I looked up when Rustdawn padded up to me and promised to keep an eye on Glimmerpaw. I nosed him gratefully and opened my mouth to tell him exactly why I was so worried, but he had already left my side. I closed my eyes and silently prayed for Starclan to keep my kit safe.
Glimmerpaw Glimmerpaw curled her tail around her body and flattened her ears, scared. How was she going to be an apprentice if she didn't know her mentor? And how was she supposed to go to this gathering if she didn't know where she was going?
As if an answer to her unasked question Rustdawn spoke up. A friend of Dawnsky. "Aunt Dawnsky?" She repeated. She remembered the warrior talk about him. With a nod she meowed. "Okay." Glimmerpaw meowed, standing up and trotting after the warrior."Rustdawn? Where are you?" The small apprentice meowed, a frightened edge to her voice. She had lost his scent and now she was scared.
Dawnsky I looked up when Rustdawn padded up to me. I huffed and rolled my eyes. "What do you wan--" I stopped talking when Rustdawn spoke. He.. He loved me? I didn't have time to say anything because he was leaving for the gathering. "He loves me?" I meowed, glancing down at Lightningpaw. I giggled slightly. He loved me.

What kind of question was that? "Right here Glimmerpaw." He meowed padding over to her. Rustdawn gave her a lick on the head and purred. "What's wrong?" He rested his tail on Glimmerpaw and gently led her to the gathering clearing.

He sat down, his ears quivering as the rest of the clan gathered around him and the few others who joined him. His shyness vanished however when his kittens were also called up, the love he had for them was blatantly obvious on his face. Proudly he watched as his kits became apprentices. He felt comforted to know that their mentors would be nothing like his own.
He sat up at attention when his own name was called. A small cat, Squirrelpaw, approached him. He smiled down at her, remembering her well from the nursery.
"Hello little one, I am honored to be your mentor. I will do all I can to make you an honorable warrior."
After touching noses with his new apprentice he looked up to see Thunderflight's father, Thor. He smiled and nodded to him as he passed. He cheered him quietly as he was welcomed into the clan as a warrior. He realized that he would face many trials to fit in with the rest of the clan, but he knew that Thor was a strong willed cat and would thrive.

indentSquirrelkit let out a yelp of surprise when Skywhisker raced in and picked her up. What was going on? She had been having a fantastic dream! When her momma started to groom her she let out a huff, if her mother was going to wake her up from a good dream then she would have trouble grooming her and thus, Squirrelkit would not sit still [not that it was anything new].
She stopped her kittish behavior however when she followed suit and padded up front with Glimmerkit and Brisk-kit. Sitting down, Squirrelkit looked up at Silverstar with curious green eyes. What was going on?
"Squirrelpaw?" She repeated to herself as if tasting the name. She was Squirrelpaw now. She was an apprentice. Wait! Who was her mentor? She was so focused on her name that she wasn't listening to who was going to train her. After the ceremonies she looked around frantically. She saw Whisperblade looking at her and she figured he was her mentor. So, puffing out her small chest she padded over to the warrior. She remembered him always visiting the nursery.
"Hiya Whisperblade!" Squirrelpaw squeaked happily stretching up to touch noses. She was an apprentice. The young apprentice looked over to Glimmerpaw to make sure that she knew who her mentor was. "Bye-bye Glimmerpaw!" She called as her sister left for the gathering. No doubt Squirrelpaw would pester her sister with questions later.

[Briskkit sighed as he was named an apprentice. Oh goodness. Now he couldn't spend the longest times thinking. Now all his energy had to be wasted on training. And then what? waste even more energy fighting unneeded battles. Perfect, just perfect. Everything got even worse when he was assigned the worst mentor possible. Cedarbranch. Oh Starclan, WHY? Anyone would be perfect except Cedarbranch. Both him and his twin brother were the most happiest and hyper things on the planet. The odds were surely not in the newly named apprentices favor.]
[Suddenly, he heard the loudest possible cheer in the world.]"BRISKPAW! BRISKPAW! BRISKPAW!"[A familiar voice chanted happily. Turning around, Briskpaw saw Amberpaw cheering him on. She must have been thinking.. Now that he was an apprentice, it would bring her closer to his heart.]
[No. Amberpaw wasn't in the question.]"Amberpaw, don't you have a gathering to attend?"[He said, getting angrier. Amerpaw nodded, and ran off with the others.]

Painted souls that streak the sky StarClan
(( Just so everyone knows; StormClan moved back to their old camp after cleaning out all the mud and rebuilding the Warrior's den and nursery. ))
A black she-cat made her way into the medicine den, her pelt glittering with stars. Starpelt rushed to Moonblaze's side, her blue eyes glittering with urgency. "Hurry! Get of camp! It's beginning! Get to low, flat ground!" Moonblaze rushed to her feet, helping Fadinghorizon out of the den.
Thunderflight raised her head as she saw the medicine cats scurrying out of their den. Next to her, Silverstar muttered something about a snake, but before Thunderflight could ask, Snowstar suddenly appeared at her side. The white she-cat's eyes were narrowed with worry. "Get out," she hissed. "Get out of camp! Everything's going to collapse! Find the lowest, flattest point in the territory and stay there!" Silverstar leapt to her feet as the ground below them began to tremble. "STORMCLAN! Get out of camp! Follow Thunderflight! GO!" Turning to her, Silverstar ordered, "Lead them safely, Thunderflight!"
Nodding in determination, Thunderflight sped to the entrance of camp, waiting outside a few moments as the others poured out, then led them along the territory and out of the forest, speeding for the lake's shore. It was the flattest area she knew of in StormClan. Her children were among those fleeing, much to her relief.
Silverstar hurried kittens out of their den, helping Thorntail and Mouseclaw, the elders, out of their dens. She would make sure no cat was left behind!

W i l y p a wnnnnnnnnnn- - Wilypaw jerked awake and onto his paws, head spinning as he tried to make sense of what was real and what was just awakening delusions. Yowls were shooting through camp and seemed to be directly funneling into his ears, giant blasts of fire were dotting in and out of his vision, the ground was attempting to throw him onto his maw, all the trees were having an intense leaf shaking contest, and cats were scrambling out of camp following the mildly fuzzy figure of Thunderflight. Wilypaw squinted at the commotion and shook his head. He knew hunting patrols had been getting rather large lately, but this? This was ridiculous. A rough bump by a warrior sent him stumbling toward the unusually large patrol. Wilypaw turned around to growl a how come but the warrior just yowled something about following Thunderflight, then was off and sprinting into the nursery. Grumbling, Wilypaw complied, and with one step he was off and then thrown onto his muzzle. With that he snapped out of it and was even more confused. The balls of fire were gone but everything else was still grating at his senses. Now that he could distinguish the noise, his fur rose to stand on end at the pure notes of fear and urgency they were carrying and he scrambled to follow what he now realized was an evacuation.

Dustpaw StormClan----Apprentice "A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort." ~Herm Albright "Attitudes are contagious. Are yours worth catching?" ~Dennis and Wendy Mannering "Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." ~Anthony J. D'Angelo
When rumbling that began in the ground, Dustpaw stood up picking each paw up in turn, curiosity as to what was going on welled up in him. But then the trees began to shake and the rumbling became louder. The StormClan apprentice flattened himself to the ground in terror. It was now that his muscles seemed to refuse to work while he mentally screamed at his legs to get moving. Horror at what was happening kept him frozen in place.
The patchy apprentice's heart thundered in his rib cage, the blood roaring in his ears, he felt the ground shaking beneath his paws. Staggering to the side, Dustpaw found it difficult to make his body move at all. Fear rushed up to greet him as he collapsed to the side, the ground shaking and making the trees tremble.
Warriors rushed from the camp and Dustpaw felt the horror of the chance of being left behind. Scrambling to his paws, the patchy apprentice finally seemed to have regained control of his legs and took off for the camp entrance, sides heaving with terror.
Dustpaw scrambled after the warriors evacuating the camp. Now, stumbling blindly after the warriors he heard Thunderflight's name in the air. His friend was leading them out of camp, but he feared being left behind. At the sight of a familiar white pelt, Dustpaw raced over to Wilypaw's side, shoving the other apprentice towards the camp entrance. "Run!" He finally screeched at the top of him lungs, shoving Wilypaw towards the camp entrance again. "We have to go! Now!" Hysteria had taken over the patchy apprentice in his attempts to get the other apprentice to move! Fur bristling, he looked urgently over at the warriors fleeing camp, complete and utter terror consuming him.

FireFang
Firefang awoke to a sudden rumbling in the ground. His emerald eyes looked around. It seemed as though the earth itself was screaming, the way it was tearing apart. His mind went imediately to his younger sibling, Snowstreak. He awoke Snowstreak quickly and watched as she followed Thunderflight to safety. Firefang looked around as the ground tore itself apart. What in the name of Starclan has happened... Firefang leapt towards the entrance to find two apprentices who looked incredibly frightened. Acting quickly he lifted Wilypaw by his scruff and urged Dustpaw onwards with his paw. "Keep Moving! Don't Stop!" Firefang said to the two apprentices, his voice drowned out in the shakings. He silently hoped they had heard him as he lifted Wilypaw and padded for the entrance, trying hard to keep his paws steady and using his claws to keep from falling.

ooc; I feel absolutely way to lazy to find a post style even though It's probably like only a page back... // But on another note. I'm Back (=
Skywhisker I yawned and stretched my forelegs from where I was laying beside Burrpelt. It felt so good to be back in the warriors den. My kits were apprentices and I was free to hunt again. That was the thing I missed most. Not the patrols. Not the warriors den but the hunting. It was in my being. I absolutely loved it. Yes, I loved my kits but there would always be a part of me that belonged in the forest. With one last yawn I stood up and padded out of the warriors den and into the clearing.
I stopped dead in my tracks as the ground began to shake. It felt like Squirrelpaw during a storm. She hated storms and they always racked her body with shakes. At Silverstar's yowl, I tore towards the nursery; skidding to a stop when I remembered that my kits were now apprentices. So I turned and ran to the apprentice's den. "Let's go!" I urged the apprentices who were still in there, my eyes resting on Glimmerpaw. Part of me wanted to test her, see how she would do; but almost all of my being wanted anything but to lose her. So I raced forward and gently rested my tail on her nose. Then I turned and quickly padded out of camp, glancing back to make sure Glimmerpaw was right behind me.
Glimmerpaw Glimmerpaw squeaked in surprise as the ground began to shake. Huh? Was what entered her mind first. Was the ground angry at them? Maybe they were being punished!
Whatever the reason was, the young apprentice didn't have time to ponder it because heartbeats later she heard Silverstar's yowl and then caught her mother's scent as Skywhisker entered the den. "Mom-" She quieted down as Skywhisker spoke and then stayed quiet when she felt a tail on her nose. Her momma was going to help her! Glimmerpaw scrambled to her feet and raced after her mother. When she got close enough, she clamped her small jaws around Skywhisker's tail out of fright and refused to let go.
Skywhisker let out a yelp of surprise followed by a small mew of pain that was lost in the noise but she didn't complain. As long as her kits and the clan would be safe.
Dawnsky I looked around frantically as the ground began to tremble. This did not seem normal. I didn't want to leave yet, but the shaking ground was making it almost impossible to stand still. So with another look around the camp, I hoped Rustdawn would be alright and I raced after the rest of the clan; keeping an eye on the newer apprentices.

Icy pale blue eyes stared back at him, seeming to pierce right through his widening gold gaze. It hadn’t been long since he’d opened his eyes…only to be met with a warrior’s intimidating stare. What was his name again…? Ivoryflight….Ivory…blade? Blizzardpaw shook his head, feeling like a complete idiot. I-I’m an apprentice now…I-I can’t always rely on them… Oh, but why couldn’t papa be my mentor? Why, why…
“Ivorymoon.” The tabby gray warrior murmured mildly, his voice void of fear…despite the situation.
Blizzardpaw’s jaw dropped in awe at the warrior’s reply. Was he a mind reader? H-How did he know what I was thinking? Through the yowls and shaking that raged in their ears, an awkward silence formed between them, making Blizzardpaw all the more uncomfortable. He began looking everywhere but in front of him where Ivorymoon was, searching for one black pelt in particular. Whisperblade. He’d make it better...and he’d have an excuse for getting away from his creepy mentor without being rude. But through the blurry onslaught of pelts that rushed passed him, he couldn’t find him! It was not until he was forced to looked ahead did he find Ivorymoon gone. What the—? Where did Ivoryblade go? Oh no, I’m all alone! Oh no oh no oh no! He began to panic, his heart beating wildly in his small chest. Blizzardpaw began running frantically around the camp, unaware of where he was supposed to be going. The words ‘Run’ and ‘Go’ echoed through his small ears. Go…go where?! The apprentice began mewling in frustration, his cries of terror drowned out by the ceaseless rumbles under paw.
Suddenly, he felt something soft but solid hit his head. The momentum forced him to fall backwards, leaving him dazed. His vision struggled to stay focused, staring at a bright white pelt. Was it…snowing? That was until the colors formed a feline shape that looked ahead with strange mismatched eyes (Dawnsky). Blizzardpaw let out a gasp of utter surprise and shock. It was just what the elder’s rumors said it was. The phantom cat! “G-G-G-Ghooooooost!” He squealed, running the opposite direction of what was supposed to be help.
The next thing he knew he was being scooped off the ground, held loosely by his scruff. Blizzardpaw began pawing at the air in his frantic struggle to escape. What kind of Starclan magic was this?! First shaky earth, then ghost cats…what next? A-Am I dead yet?
“Stop.”
The single word froze Blizzardpaw in place, forcing him to avert his attention to none other than Ivorymoon. But as soon as he caught that icy stare, the black and white apprentice screwed his eyes shut, veiling his front paws over his face. This was even worst than a ghost cat! All the while, his body continued to shake in time with the earthquake. “D-Daddy, protect me!”
*** The gray tom sighed mentally to himself, wondering why his apprentice was putting himself through all this stress. “Ishf vu dun net chalm yurshelf, shpain wel shpurely chum nuxt (If you do not calm yourself, pain will surely come next).” He spoke through the fur between his jaws, not seeming to reassure Blizzardpaw. Ivorymoon had only gone to make sure everyone else was out; much like Dawnsky was doing. Only to be met with a racing black and white furball creating all sorts of unneeded havoc. However, Ivorymoon would take it as Blizzardpaw’s inability to adapt to these newfound standards as an apprentice placed upon his shaky shoulders.
Ivorymoon turned on his paws and began racing towards the entrance, shouldering past other warriors and apprentices in his haste to the entrance, trying to pinpoint the jet-black pelt that was Thunderflight. His main priority was that of finding safety once again…and placing his hope that she would calm his apprentice – her son down. He couldn’t help but remember the past chaos the flood had brought, the countless days that passed to clean out all the mud and rebuild the warrior’s and nursery dens… Was this perhaps a test…or punishment?
