"Yeah but I just don't like being treated like a child!" Jake called after him, not meaning to make him angry. "I didn't bite him that hard..." Jake's ears were down, feeling guilty for biting him. "It's not like I could help it, the dog in me just kinda lunged out..."
"You know what I mean." Strider could still feel his jaw as he spoke, he wanted to know just how close they had cut it, Demios and him. It had been a dangerous and even fight. Even for two on one, Reaper was a monster.
"We had taken a beating up there on that hill. Two on one even! What would have happened if we had lost? I'll take a guess that that pretty beam of light wasn't just for show was it?" Demios looked at Fenrir.

"Oh, er," Fenrir averted his eyes away from Demios's briefly, an uneasy feeling surging through him and making the ruff of his fur raise a little. "It wouldn't have been pretty, you know. Guts and blood, heads on pikes..." He scraped the ground with a paw as he tried to find the right way to say what they wanted to hear. "If Reaper hadn't been getting cocky like that and showing off power, then the carrion birds would be having a feast all over this place."
Rore didn't ignore that but tried his best to seem unconcerned. The Protector who need assistance was help a few other pin the beast down with ropes. "What, uh, was that for?" "Just some of the battle fervor still running a bit high." He lied, gripping his blade with both hands and swinging the flat of it to smash against the boar's skull, rendering it unconscious.

"Well let's be glad for small favors i suppose." Slowly they cam to the healer tent as healer scurried here and there, one noticing them. "Oh, my lord." The healer was a dragon.
"Healer, please help my friend here. he is hurt." Demios allowed the healer to take Strider by the arm.
"This is nothing." Strider chuckled. "You should have seen the wound I got in the last war I fought in." Strider hobbled away with the healer into the tent.
Sylvia hopped off of Fenrir. "Thank you Fenrir. And thank you Demios for bringing my husband back alive." Sylvia gave him a small peck on the cheek and made her way into the tent herself.
Demios blushed from embarrassment, not used to women very much. "Well, I guess I should go head to my own tent and hear the news from my generals. I hope we go back with more then I think we shall."

"Ever the modest ones," Fenrir commented in amusement, settling down on his haunches where they stood. He supposed that he'd retrieve his belongings soon. His ears twitched slightly at a new noise and he chuckled. "Hey, you're supposed to be guarding my stuff, still."
Elistral ignored him and the dull ache still in her stomach that had faded somewhat, wrapping her arms around Demios in a sudden hug from behind. "Oh thank god, you're still alive!" She also ignored Fenrir's laughter for the second time and mumbled quietly against the dragon's armor, "I'm so glad you didn't die."

"Oof, well i'm glad to see you're alright as well." Demios was blushing again. "Umm, how are your injuries?" Demios' brain was on over drive, he wasn't used to women, let alone one holding him from behind.

"They're, uh, better than before," Elistral wasn't used to feeling affection for anyone, and wasn't sure if she liked it or not. She wasn't even sure how she felt for Demios, either. "They will heal fine but I'll have to eat light. You're hurt too, are you okay?"

Demios smiled at Elistral. "This is nothing, your father got hit pretty good though. He hasn't gotten used to being mortal yet I guess." Demios looked at Elistral from the side awkwardly. He had no idea what to do. "Well since the battles over would you like to go and help me get a group together to gather the civilians?"

Elistral stepped away from Demios and glanced away, a little embarrassed all of a sudden. She fidgeted with one of her rings again. "Shouldn't you go and speak with your generals, first? I was going to try to find Jake and Rore, wherever they are."

Demios turned and glanced down also embarrassed. "Yeah but if you find Rore and Jake you three are welcome to come and let us help make plans for a uh retrevial party." Demios stood there shifting his wait. "Well I better get going. See you later Elistral." Demios walked off towards his encampment embarrassed.
Strider had been watching from the tent. "Ah, kids. They grow up so fast." He was far enough away not to be heard.
"Yeah. We sure did make a beautiful young women didn't we?" Sylvia leaned on Strider's good arm.
Strider smiled and leaned his head onto Sylvia's. "Yeah."

"Later." Elistral waved at his back and returned to holding her stomach, which she'd been doing previously. "Well...what next, Fenrir?"
"That's up to you." Fenrir shrugged and stood, shaking himself before trotting off. He slowed down a bit when he noticed Elistral was trying to keep pace with him. "I wish my son was nice like you two."
"You have...a son?"
"Yeah, crazy enough." Picking up his hat when he found it in his teeth, Fenrir changed directions to locate Jake, the easiest to find with his trailing scent. "Hates me like hell, though, but I can't really blame him."
"Why?" Elistral winced, favoring her left side as they walked slowly.
"Interesting story. But not today. There's enough going on without me pushing my problems onto other people."

Jake walked over to Rore and looked up to him with his ears down and a sad look on his face. "I'm sorry I bit you Rore." His eyes swelled up slightly as he looked at Rore.

Rore finished tying a knot in the rope binding the boar beast's legs together, then stood up from where he'd been kneeling. He glanced at Jake blankly before crossing his arms across his chest, closing his eyes, and looking away from him. "Hmph."

"Oh don't be so sensative. I said i was sorry." Jake hopped on Rore's shoulders. "Come on, forgive me?" Jake rubbed against Rore's face.

"You're the one being sensitive, Mr. I'm-Older-Than-So-Stop-Trying-To-Have-Fun." Rore pouted, turning his face the other way.

"Well i don't like being tickled." Jake licked Rore's face lovingly. He loved being a dog sometimes. Or at least partially a dog.
