Sorry. I'm going to spoil the mood, but...
That's a load of crap.

I know people are able to drink blood, but that's DISGUSTING.

&&&(VAMPIRES DON'T EXIST)

Again, sorry. That's just my opinion.

You're right, disgusting is just a matter of opinion. Also keep in mind that many of these people are also anemic [lack of iron in the blood. This makes them pale, and often weak if suppliments are not taken, thus making them, in some cases, sensitive to sunlight].

Vampires in the sense of 'immortals that are allergic to garlic, burn in sunlight, hate crusifixs, holy water, sleep in coffins, ect.' do not exsist. This is pure fiction, I believe that was made up from the symptoms viewed in anemia and other illnesses, in which people long ago had no idea what exactly they did to the human body.

Vampires in the sense of 'drinking blood' I believe, do exsist. Though that is only a name. I'm sure people would be more willing to believe that people enjoy the taste of blood had the name 'vampire' not have been applied.
the fictional vampire we have come to know and love was born from supersticion (sp?) when a child or a young adult was found dead and covered in blood, one of the first things they would do was chech the grave yards. They would dig up the coffins (this is where the myth they sleep in coffins comes from) and inside would be someone who had died relatively recienty. Their bodies would be bloated from the natural gasses given off by the decay process (giving them a look of fullness and life) their skin would be pale from lack of sun (ashen) and around their mouths would be blood (the first thing to decay in a human is the blood veins, the blood leaks out of the mouth and other "openings" in the body, hence the blood-sucker stereotype.)

I met this guy, he lives a street down from my house, and when I was talking to him we got into the conversation of Wiccan and stuff like it. He smiled and I saw his k-9 teeth were larger and sharper than usual. He told me he practiced Vampirism and we started talking about it. I was a lil' freaked out but he told me he hunted(gun and such) deer and drained the blood from them and drank it.

So he's like the Cullens! We're good friends and we talk about our practices. It's lots of fun and he jokes about biting me all the time. he's probably in his early twenties.

(&&& Blood does not taste good when you drink a lot. I puked. Don't ask, he dared me.)

Unfortunately, I have never met anyone who practices vampirism, but I wish I did. I think I would find them very interesting and cool. Drinking blood doesn't bother me because I used to get a lot of bloody noses when I was a kid and I have tasted blood many times. Vampirism is just another type of religion/way of life to me, so therefore I accept it just like any other way of life. (I am no specific religion, so I try to accept all)

Silly Tilly
hmm. Lets see i am very pale becuase the sun only burns me,,, ive been know to have very low iron, my eyes anymore have black rings around them. The sun bothers me because I have seizures and it messes with my head so those the heat. I am avery big van of vampires, though I never met anyone claiming that they practice vampire things.... but if I did meat them I would fine them very interesting and intreging.
The sunlight causes me seizures too, ive also thought of it as sort of vampiric. I prefer winter.

okay so I'm a lurker.. I've been in the guild a while and just noticed this thread.

I don't want to scare people but the Vampirism practice does exist. I've done it on occasion. for most it's a fetish thing.

I do only 'take' from one person and it's very small amounts 2-3 times a month. it's interesting and strange sometimes. I consider myself Sanguinarian, and a donor, we trade off.

I donno I guess i could answer questions if anyone has them, lmao though Lost_In_My_Nightmare seems to cover the questions well.

though I can bet a lot of people won't believe me, others will be a bit freaked out, some will be interested. -shrugs- believe me I've scared off my fair share of people just by mentioning that.

I don't know if I will keep this post up depending on reactions from people..

heart heart heart heart heart heart heart please don't hurt me.. heart heart heart heart heart heart heart
