Rose Demon Axel At my school, we have a Day of Silence for those gays and transexuals who are being prejudiced against, in which we wear all black, little rainbow pins, and don't say a word all day. Some of the people who participate were kicked, jeered at, and one girl was even asked to kiss a guy's girlfriend. It makes me sad to know that there are stupid people like that out there. I also have a few friends who are very much into yaoi and shonen ai, and we are part of a bigger group of friends who know this... and accept it. We made a mural of yaoi pictures that we hung in one friend's locker- she isn't a big fan, but she left it there, all year. We even have a devout Catholic girl in our group, who can accept us and respect us for who we are. I guess I'm also happy that there are these people in the world, too. oh! day of silence,...... wan't it in may? XD we wore green sweaters..I think. I just drew rxs all day, and like ya'know *waved* to my friends XD MOst of my friends are loud-mouths though, XD its so funny trying to watch them be quiet. actually, IN my school allmost everyone took the day of silence *yay.* and the teachers were even okay with it........ accept mr.dumbass *glares* *-* I think its mostly on the internet I see people lashing. accept for my one X-friend.... *glars* He won't stop putting hate messages on my myspace...damn him.

In my school, only the actual homosexuals, yaoi fangirls, and a few kind people did it. It was run by one of my favorite teachers, so he was silent all day as well.
Most of the other students couldn't even respect what we were doing. They just had to be huge jerks to everyone wearing the rainbow pin.

It's not ALL religion, though that is a major factor. It's mainly the crazy people who become so 'devout' in their religion that they can't see anything but.
And Sock, we just used rainbow ribbons, looped them around like the pink ones used for breast cancer awareness, and pinned them to our shirts.

My friend, Angelo, or rather my boyfriend's friend Angelo..... is one of the biggest yaoi fans (poor kid. the only satisfaction he gets is from drawn stuff.) I've ever seen. his OTP seems to be Saix xemnas, despite the fact he's never played the game.
His reasoning? 'Saix is like the stone-hearted abused puppy..' He cut off there because he was going to say something like' i feel like sometimes' but he hates talking about himself at all. he equated Xemnas with, i guess, the one who took said puppy in. 9his home life sucks, so it makes sense if you knew him) HIS boyfriend is a useless moron. Angie wants a xemnas to take care of him SO badly. Mine is Zemyx, because when two weirdos get together, it's funny to watch.

Okay, Im one to believe, that just because you don't like someone else's fandom, it does not give you the right, to bash them and cut them down.
My friend even made a guild for poor, abused fangirls/boys, who are put down.
I will admit though, I cannot stand l33t otakus. The ones who sit there, and go "omg lyk i <3 soxriku cuz they r so smexy! roflmaobbq!!11!1!1!1! i r going 2 go rite a fic were they get sepurated 4 10 years, then get 2 gether, and fall in <3 and hav bootyful man-babies." (Though, yes, Sora and Riku's manbabies would be some piece of sexy...it's just not gonna happen. I've read the Mpreg process. It's frightening.)
And then they go and write, a total piece of crap. And then they go into like Hetero pairings places, and just post yaoi all over there. C'mon. If it's clear that it's hetero (like Keale made clear that this is a yaoi guild, and that Kairi should be shot on sight), don't do it. Respect the boundries put down. And they should do the same. If it's supposed to be an open Forum, they have no right to bash you, you have free rights to post whatever you want there.

Through out the years, I've learned that no matter much you dislike a person's fandom, you should at least respect it. Most fandoms respect each other(most...) I really don't like incest at all, but I don't go around bashing every SasukeXItachi fangirl/boy that I see. I
People just don't seem to realize that there are fandoms out there for everything under the sun, and that you'll run into them as long as you have access to the internet. If they realized that, maybe they wouldn't make such a fuss, and just learn to accept and ignore the things they don't like.
I'm sure religion does have to do with the lashing out for some people, but not all. I'm Catholic, but I'm a fan of yaoi and yuri(I slash at least one couple in pretty much everything I see xD). So, not all religious people are bad, or out to convert you like many people seem to think.
I don't know if that made any sense or not... ^^;

Sexual-sock I don't understand Y-Y
everywhere I go on gaia and even say the slightest about yaoi-exedera they disown and hate me.
like I put up a rikuxsora thread (that had no hating no bashing no flaming, nothing)
and half of my guild and their mothers are totaly bashing me in the face.
literaly this girls mom called me a f**.
It seems that het people think that yaoi fangirls are horny-depraved...*sang therm here*'s
and no one can givve a rats hat about us....?
its all really depressisng.
I had like 10 pm's from 10 different people telling me how bad of a person I was O-O
CAn someone please explain why this is happening? thats happened to me before too. they didnt full-on bash me and put me down, but they were like 'omg, wut a freak' and 'thats disgusting. how could u like that?!' and other condescending s**t like that. i wouldnt worry about it. anyone who hates on someone because of their likes and dislikes is an a*****e who can go fall off a cliff for all i care. dont let what people think or say get to you. you only get to live once so just be yourself and have fun! 3nodding ......wow, that was unusually deep and meaningful for me......i blame the root beer....

This isn't about KH, but... The other day, I was in Towns, and wearing an old outfit of mine that involved a bikini top, short shorts, and lots of bubbles. Obviously, I was going for a swimming look. However, I came across this girl who seemed to be waiting for her boyfriend. She took one look at me and said, "Oh, gay >0". I didn't reply, but I swear, I wanted to punch her in the face.

I've been hated before just because I've mentioned yaoi before. Yes, some of the things people can say and do are hurtful, but their isn't really much you can do about it.
There are homophobes out there and they're going to voice they're opinions as well. Although, most people I've come across who bash me because I like yaoi, are very immature about it.
I also think that some fangirls can go over the top and that's not really helping the yaoi fangirl image either.
I understand where you come from about being disowned. I mentioned that I liked yaoi to one of my friends at school. They didn't know what it was so I explained, and then they just stared at me for a couple of minutes, walked away, and later the same day I heard them talking to another group of people and calling me a f**. It was really annoying and I almost walked over and socked them in the face...but I resisted.
So all I have to say is just to be yourself and try not to let these kinds of things bring you down.

Know what, let's just throw a stamp on religion now.
I'm Mormon. Meaning, SUPER against gays/lesbians/bis. but, we have this teaching of LOVE one another. So, I don't care what my parents say, I have gay/lesbian/bi friends. And get this, my Mormon friends even like yaoi/yuri(for a few of them...).
They are people, and it's not like they are imposing their sexuality on me, I'm not imposing my religion on them. I'm still going to marry a man, have kids, and raise them.

I don't even understand why it is that gays are so hated in today's society. (the only reason I can come up with is that they can't reproduce, and do we really need more babies ?) xD
I mean, they don't hurt anyone...... Its really weird how people can follow the bible to an extent, they don't even know what the real purpose of the bible was to begin with.
like how the bible said nothing against slavery (Also another clue to benifit the sexist, rasist, homophobic men who made the damn thing. thats right I said it.) And yet americans banned slavery over 150 years ago...? I feel that thats hipocracy. you don't hear what you want to hear from your "religion" and go buy what suits you best. the main purpose of the bible is "to love others" how Is being against gays loving them? It dosn't make them any less human.......
And that's whats wrong with todays world. HEll. the christians even have us using their own time "2007" and the "10 bill of rights" I think most of america is pressuring people to follow the church above anything else, hell, I know everyone knows the date today for the jewish religion?
sometimes I wonder how the world would be like if Everyone was a yaoi fan (no kids xD) wouldn't that be a lot more better?
anywho, I said enough. so I'll go now.
