When it was first on AS I would go to this comic book store and browse and this anime magazine had a two page article on the show with what it was about and the characters and such, but it was mostly pictures. And that is the only real advertising I have seen for it.
Nani: xd Yeah, it's kind of pointless to advertise Lupin on a Lupin DVD. And the game, too. It's like if you like the show you already know about the game. And the show...since the person is watching it....on the Lupin DVD they just bought. xP
Piru: Yup, AS didn't really give it a chance, it seemed. They didn't really advertise it, either. Every ad seemed like it was for Trigun or Inuyasha or their really awful non-anime shows they have. It's AS and Geneon who are to fault, which is lame since they are the ones spending money on it.

They could do so much more..
Just advertising it on their other DVDs for one, that doesn't cost them extra for advertising since it's their DVD.
And on their website, it's really impossible to find on their website.
For a start anyway...
At least you found some source of advertising, I didn't.
And the ads [as] had for the show (which were shown rarely) were badly put together. They wouldn't have interested me, that's for sure..

Pirupi Orly? Take a look at fanfiction.net I'd say most of those fanfics are gay ones. It's scary. You don't even wanna know what I've seen on Deviant Art burning_eyes Actually not a lot of gayiness on DA. I seen 7 that were gay, 5 that was picture that inferred gayiness (being very close, hand holding, leaning over into eachother personal space). The most popular pairing was Lupin and Fujikio, and then Lupin, and Inspector Zenigata. I did only look at the first 80 pages though...

I seen 7 that were gay, 5 that was picture that inferred gayiness (being very close, hand holding, leaning over into eachother personal space). You got lucky then I think xd I looked through literally all of them trying to find a particular picture and there were more then I can count. I mean, some of them were funny, but burning_eyes

this sort of relates. One time I was watching Adult Swim for god knows what reason, and you know those really annoying bumpers they show when shows go to commercial? The ones with the black screens and the completely unfunny white text? Anyway, one time they were like "Hey, we're bringing Lupin The Third back!" and then the next screen said "ha ha, just kidding, that show's never coming back."
Man, I hate adult swim so hard. Meanwhile they'll show crap like Inuyasha for a million billion years. mad
I wish Lupin was more popular, lotsa folks seem to have pretty bad taste!
Im glad my boyfriend and one of my roommates likes it.
Also, oh man, the fanart on deviantart. I saw an entire gallery of naked hairy zenigata once. gonk

They've gotten really annoying.. >< That spike I saw in fans is gone now. =[ Indeed. People really do have horrible taste. That's good. Unfortunately, the people I know that like it, I don't get to talk to them very much. At least I know some people have taste, though xD gonk Scary! Mommy! That fanart is really scary. I try to avoid it for the most part, though some of it I do find amusing.

Yeah, Adult Swim is lame. It's like the idiots that run it try to be all hip and cool and crap and they just suck.
I'd rather watch Billy Mays hawk knife sharpeners and stain removers than watch one second of Adult Swim.

I think it would have found a better crowd there. I just stopped watching it. I would have earlier, but I wasn't sure what else to have on at night xP Definitely needed a better timeslot. Was it on anime night? I watched it during the weekdays, so. But they played it after the popular shows, after most people had gone to bed. That's not how you promote a new show.
