Once both Lunar and Rider had regained their breath, The two talked over about this obstacle. The decided that their last technique -running at the opposite ledges head on- was best, but Eclipse had to be careful of his footing. Once both of them were in position again, Eclipse leaped...
...and landed on the other side safely. Rowan suggested they stop so that Eclipse could get his wind back, and the two sat huddled together. The wind was blowing through Rowan's waterlogged clothing harshly, making her shiver. Concerned, Eclipse tried to share his body heat. After Clip's breathing was back down, they got into position and lined themselves up with the next Ledge. They stopped at that one too but for a shorter amount of time, the final ledge.
Crouching, Eclipse's muscles tensed as he ran at the edge of the ledge, his hind legs kicking off the very edge of the protruding rock. Flying through the air, Rowan couldn't help but enough herself.
They landed a bit hard on the opposite end, ramming into the wall. Gritting her teeth, Rowan tried not to cry out as her leg was crushed between the Lunar and the rock. But it wasn't too big of a impact. Getting off, Rowan inspected the tunnel into the wall. It was low for a Lunar, but Rowan can crawl on her hands and knees well enough. It was pitch black but...
Rowan smiled, remembering the object that they found in the lantern dig. that plus Eclipse's knowledge of light magics will make this no problem at all.

Tunnel Crawl

Eclipse entered the small tunnel first, belly rubbing against the ground as he inched himself forward. He is not a particularly big Lunar yet so he fit reasonably well, about three inches of clearance between him and the ceiling. He opened his mouth slightly so that the small object would light the way, but he found the green light tiring to look and and decided to use some magic of his own.
The area surrounding him and Rowan was lit by a sourceless light, a specialty of Clip's. Rowan was right behind the Lunar, crawling on her hands and knees. The two were soon covered with dirt, and as hateful of water Rowan was, she swore that she would take a plunge in Moon lake the moment they returned to Edoc'sil.
Rowan coughed as the ceiling lowered for a moment, Clip's body brushing rock and dust down. Eclipse stopped for a moment to let the debris clear, then used his earth magic to press the ceiling upwards a centimeter or two. It gave Eclipse enough clearance so that when he resumed crawling, Rowan was free from bit of dirt getting stuck in her eye.
The Tunnel soon lightened and Eclipse let go of his magic, plunging the two back into darkness. Rowan had to have Eclipse guide her, as she could not see the opening past him.
When both of them crawled out, they looked around them too see themselves at the both of a pit. S net hung above and Rowan understood- this was the first pit they had jumped across. Rowan tested the ground and found it soft, maybe some sort of moss growing there but Rowan's eyes couldn't pick out the details.

Climb the Pit!

Rowan surveyed the wall and saw many ledges, though it might be difficult to jump from one to another. Getting on top of Eclipse, He pulled himself onto the first ledge and looked for the nearest one. Coiling up, Clip sprang for it and narrowly grabbed onto it's edge, struggling for a moment to pull himself up. Rowan dangled from his back, her hands around his neck as he did this. Man was it ever scary to be doing this, good thing she hadn't decided to also accompany Zephyr. Another run of this might kill her.
As Eclipse got his footing, right, he observed the area to see the next ledge. it was closer this time and he made it almost to the top without much problem.
Ah, we're almost done. Eclipse commented in the middle of a jump, almost making it to the second-last ledge from the top. But when he grasped the edge of the next ledge, it crumbled and both Eclipse and Rowan fell back down the chasm.
"AH!" Rowan landed with a hard thump, whatever spongy thing that grew at the bottom absorbed most of the impact as well for Eclipse.
"Darn that. We almost made it." Rowan growled.

Climb the Pit!

Though both Rowan and eclipse were sore and tired, they lines themselves up for the jump again. Climbing up the first ledge, Eclipse illuminated the whole place with light before jumping. He wanted to make sure he made no mistakes.
The next jump went a bit better then last time, and Rowan didn't have to hang on for dear life. Eclipse was panting now, exhausted from his exertions at the obstacles. Rowan could feel him trembling beneath her and she patted him on the side.
"We're almost done." She said encouragingly and Zephyr gave a weak bark in reply.
I'm toast. He replied, then lined himself up for the next jump. As he proceeded from ledge to ledge, they finally made it to the top. Rowan got out first and helped haul Eclipse out. Though the two would love to have just stayed there to rest as they've done at the end of all the other obstacles, Rowan rode Eclipse as fast he dared go until they crossed the finish line, where both rider and Kyn collapsed in a heap on the ground. Eclipse's side was heaving from his efforts and Rowan herself felt like she had just hiked over a mountain.
Rosemary and Zephyr soon rushed to their side.
"Zeph, you're up next." Rowan told the sandy Lunar tiredly. zephyr just responded with an enthusiastic flick of his tail and bounded towards the starting line.
