“Hmm, maybe it will happen. I wish I could be that big now!” Ambrosia was really getting to like this guy; he wasn’t that quiet once he got talking. But truthfully, all this talking was getting her kind of thirsty. Standing, she walked and hummed to the river and leaned down to get a drink. Hmm, maybe she was thirstier than she thought, because it seemed like she was drinking the whole river.

Hakim smiled at the little ones spunk. He didn't know that she wanted to be an adult so much. It wasn't that grand. In fact, it was a bit dull. But he couldn't really say much, he didn't remember himself as a child.
He waited for her to finish drinking before he said anything else. It was the only kind thing to do. He didn't want to rush her and make her cough. Though, he still didn't want her to think he wasn't that talkitive. "I'm sure you won't like it when you grown, you must enjoy your time as a young one."

Ambrosia tilted her head to the side, and stared up at Hakim strangely. “Why wouldn’t I want to grow up faster? Being young is nice and stuff, but when you’re a kid, you just aren’t allowed to do stuff that adults can do.” While she had been talking, she was nodding with what she said. And then she started pacing.
“Like, hunt, they don’t let kids do that because they might get hurt! But I have gone hunting by my self, and never got hurt!” She stopped and looked up at him, to see if he was still listening.

Hakim smiled as he watched the little one pace. She really wanted to be an adult. It was bad when you forgot about your childhood. A childs imagination was what kept this life so calm. "because, once you grow up you'll regret that you did." He simily said and closed his eyes.
'You don't want to forget about your childhood, as I did."

Ambrosia was really curious. What kinds of regrets. If you asked her, she thought that childhood was boring. “What could I regret?” She sat right in front of him, craning her neck to look up into his face. Did he have regrets too? Now she wanted to know.

Hakim thought for a moment. "Well, everyone has their own regrets. Mine happen to be me forgetting everything about my childhood." He said simply. "You'll only know when your an adult."
Or at least, that's what he thought. Perhaps it wasn't just adults that realize what they missed the most about being a child. "Everyone's different. Even Twins."

Ambrosia looked up at him, her mind whirling with this new information. “So, you have forgotten everything from when you were my age. Even the fun stuff? And you know twins!?” Now she didn’t want to grow up all that much, but she still did. She didn’t want to forget everything, but he said everyone was different.

He nodded. "I know nothing of my past. It's a huge mystery." He hadn't met any twins, but he was sure there were some, and they were different. Or at least one thing was different about them. "Not that I know of." He replied to her question.

“That’s so sad; I hope when I grow up, I don’t forget mine.” She wanted to meet twins, if there were some out there. “But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to grow up now.” She was pretty determined in wanting to grow up sooner rather than later.

Hakim didn't know about sadness, or at least he hadn't had sadness that he remembered. "Sad? It's most unfortuneate, but perhaps there was a reason I forgot." He pasued.
"I'm sure you won't forget your past. You seem brighter then I." He hopped she didn't think he was talking about her fur.

“Well I would be sad if I couldn’t remember all the things I did as a child.” Ambrosia smiled, “But I might, I am not that bright.” She was sure she would forget some things; just she hoped she wouldn’t forget the important things. “I hope I don’t forget this conversation on forgetting memories.” Then she laughed.

"Well, perhaps we will run into each other when your older and I could always remind you. If you wish." He said with a blank expression still on his face. He was completely still as he sat there.

“That would be nice of you, if we do meet again, you must.” He was as still as a statue. “So, we are friends right?” She still sat in front of him, looking up into his face to see if he had heard her question.

He inclined his head to her. Well, at least he had something to look forwards to doing in his future. Though, he wasn't sure if there paths would cross again. And if they were to, would he remember her? She was sure to change. But, he was the only one with a horn that he's ever met. Plus she was pink.
His head was back to where it was and he blinked. He didn't know what friends were, yet it sounded nice. "Friends?" He asked questionably. He felt stupid for asking, but it wasn't his fault. He had been alone too long.

She was hoping they would meet again, and that he would remember her. I mean, she was bright pink with a horn.
She looked up into his face, and he looked like he had no idea what he was talking about. “Yeah, friends. Like, people you care about, and talk to you, and care about you.” She looked at him like he had grown a second head. “Do you not have any friends?”
