Yami smirked and shook her head. "They heal rather quickly, but I'm sure that the pain would be enough to teach them to leave us be. Being that we're Nitemares and they are the complete opposite."
She thought about the damage that one of them could truly inflict on anything. They had sharp teeth, claws, and as Zephyr had mentioned, a stunning ability to jump to wicked heights. Oh they would pay if they didn't stop harassing them.

"Feh," Zeph snorted. "But why do they bother you? You don't go out of your way to irritate them, do you?" He seemed rather unhappy about this. "That just seems rather harsh and vindictive if you ask me. I usually mind my own business, but some things are just too inviting to leave alone."
"But even so..." He continued, shaking his head. "To be minding your own damn business and annoyed just because of your breed? That sounds almost... racist." A loud angry grunt of disapproval escaped him. His stitched over eyes and brows were furrowed to form a deep scowl.
"Now I really wanna take a chunk out of one of them..."

"I do not believe them to be racist, as you say. They are just trying to do... what they believe is right." Yami explained. She didn't blame the angelics for their nature. One couldn't stop habits or how they were.
"I believe they do annoy me. And they do interrupt my own devices, but tehy are not being racist." she continued, explaining just what happens. "I do something, and they interject their opinion on right and wrong."

Zephyrizon nodded, seeming to understand. "Then I suppose they could easily be ignored, at least until they try to physically harm or you. The normals have physically harassed me a number of times, and I hate them for that. But a lecture could easily be ignored."
Zephyrizon suddenly moved an ear behind him, highly curious. He flicked his tongue out of his mouth, then turned his head towards the area where he had heard the noise. In the small slivers of grass-energies, a large fat wood-rat glowed red-hot in his aura-senses. It wasn't big enough for a whole meal, but about the size for a nice snack. A sly smirk grew across his face - here was a chance to show off what a master hunter he was! Or so, he thought he was anyway.
"One moment, please." He grinned. "I just smelled something nice to eat." His movements were swift and silent as he slinked away from Yami, heading in the direction of the rat. He crouched low in the grass, his outer tails flat on the ground, his middle blue one swaying slowly. Zeph slinked forwards another two steps, and lay in wait, smirking. This was going to be fun.

-a few days.... later-
Yami stretched out in the sun, absorbing the warmth through her hide and purring softly as if being stroked. She was incredibly comfortable. At the same time, she had to wonder where that odd one Zeph, was... She hadn't sensed him in a while, a few days perhaps. Last she had seen, he was off to stalk something edible, or so he had hoped.

Zeph prowled back into Mountain territory, pondering about his recent encounter with all the strange other species Kitsu he had met. He had met a rather strange that Hale had recently only met herself. It had included Nightmares, Angelics, normals... all manner of species getting along as one content happy family.
It had certainly changed his opinion about a few things.
He had made assumptions in the past about the Angelics based on stories he had been told, but he had never actually encountered one until he had met Lucia. She had tolerated him, liked him even. She allowed him to sniff her wings, pull on her feathers, and generally poke her wings, and never once had any objection to him doing so. When he had left the Mountain, he had been a sour and annoyed Kitsusagi. He was coming back with a changed attitude about many things, and seemed more calm, peaceful even.
When he raised his snout to the air and flicked out his tongue, he immediately picked up that familiar curious scent. It was distant, but had been this way in the not-too-distant past. Zephyrizon trotted after it to investigate.
When Yami came into his aura field's radius of 'sight', he slowed down. It had been a number of days since he had seen her, and he was glad to find her again. He made as little sound as possible as he snuck up behind the female. When he was close enough, he jerked his head forwards to give her a light bump in the side with his bony maw.
"Hello, you." He said finally, snickering.

Yami raised her head and sniffed. "Oh, hello Zeph." she tilted her head, wondering about the snicker. Granted he did that every so often anyway, but it just seemed a little different. "What is new with you?"

Zephyrizon seemed a tad dissapointed as Yami didn't jump. He always enjoyed scaring others or catching them off guard. He had sneaked up behind her with intent to scare her too... why didn't she jump? He made a mental note to find out about this.
"Not much is new with me," Zeph replied. "Although what is up with you? Do you have the ability to sense aura or something? I poked you and you didn't jump, you must have known I was coming."

Yami grinned with a bit of a secretive air to it. "Well... it seems as if anytime I think about you, you happen to appear. So it does not surprise me much anymore when you do, as I was just thinking I hadn't seen you for a while."
She rose and stretched, wandering over to him. "Sorry you weren't able to scare me. You are good at it, just not for me."

"I suppose I shall have to try again some other time," Zeph said, still mildly dissapointed. "But considering my track-record in regards to startling you so far, maybe it's just best if I give up on it altogether."
"You were thinking about me?" He raised his ears, curious. "Indeed, it has been some time. I have been on the move, and then my mother dragged me out of the Mountain territory altogether to visit with some Kitsusagi that are not like me. I met with an Angelic, and she was not at all like the ones you had described to me."

"And how did I describe them?" Yami asked, curious. She could only give opinions on things that she had experienced. And the Angelics she had met were a bit righteous in good and evil sense, as well as trying to make sure that she didn't harm anyone else.

"Well, you called them high and mighty, everything else is my own assumption, and comments from my own mother." He sat down on his rump, tails flicking. "But the one I met, it let me pull its wing feathers. Which was fun." He grinned.
"So yeah, I think I have changed my opinion on them in general," He continued. "Athough I will still bite one if it comes near me trying to preach it's ideals..."

"Each gather's and makes opinions on their own. Your experience was rather interesting, I must say." Yami conceded. "However, the two ... forgive me, three, that now live in my home, are always telling me things I do not need nor want to hear."
Settling herself down, she chewed on one leg. She was annoyed. Not at herself, or at Zeph, but more or less how different Angelics could be and that she lived with ones that seemed to have no patience. She thought she was relatively good at the patience thing, for a Nitemare.

"Fah!" Zephyrizon made a loud grumbling noise, seeming unhappy. "The ones you live with must be bad-natured or something. They have to be - YOU'RE not a bad Kitsusagi at all. Why should they have any need to tell you what to do?" He grunted out his irritation, flicking his ears. "It's not like you're actively running out onto the Kitsusagi territory, maiming and killing the innocent."
He sat down on his hinds. "I nearly did just that, too. A few more weeks of being allowed to simmer over my own issues without talking about them, and I'd probably be out there killing others." He lowered his head, looking troubled. "I don't want to be like the Nightmares of old in mother's stories. And yet, at the same time, I nearly bowed down to it. Part of me still wants to, it kind of seems like it'd be fun..."
He snorted, quickly shaking the thoughts out of his head. "You should tell the angelics you live with that you're not like that!" He rose to his feet again, tails flicking at his hinds. "Or you can lead me to them, and I can tell them myself!"

Yami shook her head. "Do not worry yourself over it. It is in our nature to be violent, while not maiming innocents we are still evil. It is how we are... We do kill to survive. Most of the kitsu these days refrain from this necessity. They choose to be fed by the humans."
"It is fine... I live with them, when I need to. I tolerate their opinions." she stretched out, clicking her claws together idly. "We are as we are.. and I'm happy as that."
