REVELATION
PRIVATE RP
With: Rachel, Sarah, various children, various government personnel.

Rachel was happily humming to herself as she skipped on her way to school. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. The sun shone warmly, warm enough even to walk around without a jacket. Feeling very happy because of all this, ten year old Rachel continued on her way to school.

Arriving there with plenty of time to spare, she went to sit in her favourite corner of the school. A small patch filled with wild flowers, at least a hundred kinds of them! Rachel always felt as if this was her own, secret place as it was in a remote corner of the playground. Still grinning, she danced over to the patch only to come to an abrupt halt. She let out a whimper as she stared at the demolished plants. "Wha-what happened?" she felt tears fall down her face and held back a sob. She slowly approached the plants and flowers and let herself fall on her knees before them. She carefully picked up one of the flowers and cradled it in her arms. Closing her eyes she felt herself flow away on the memory of these flowers. "It shouldnt be like this..." she muttered. "No.. you are not to end like this..." She could see the flower she was holding very clearly in her mind. And as she pictured it, she felt how the flower was being repaired and started to blossom once more, it started to live again under her touch.

Taking a deep breath, she opened her eyes and looked at the flower. She stroke it tenderly and smiled before looking at the other flowers. But before she could reach those, she just.. knew that they were here and she scrambled up. Just in time. They had been about to give her a shove.

As she looked up at them, she knew it was very different this time. Their eyes were widened in fear and their breathing was irregular, they were staring at her in with anger and in fear.
But not all of them seemed to be petrified. Sarah, the biggest bully of her class, and probably of the school as well, stepped forward, her fists tightly clenched. Her face had a furious expression as she advanced on Rachel. Rachel felt her own breath quicken as she tried to back away from Sarah, only to back into a wall. "You freak." Sarah hissed it out through clenched teeth and before Rachel knew what had happened, Sarah had punched her right in the eye.
Shocked, Rachel fell onto the ground. Sarah looked down at her, her eyes narrowed in disgust. "You don't belong here."
Even more frightened, Rachel scrambled up again, but was trapped between the wall and Sarah. "B-but I didn't hurt anyone, did I?" Rachel wildly looked around for a way too escape. But there was none. None! She was trapped. By the look on Sarah's face, Rachel was very sure this was not going to be a happy ending. She let out a sob and then a cry as she felt Sarah's hands around her neck. She weakly tried to struggle, but it really was too no avail. Rachel had always been tiny and Sarah was huge and much stronger. She couldn't breath! Her vision was darkening. She kept on sobbing. No! No! No! No! No! "NO!" Rachel let out a scream as she tried to push Sarah away when it happened.

A sudden flow. A feeling. Power. Alive. Death. Screams.

Rachel fell to the ground, scared and confused and not knowing what she was feeling. She became aware of someone else laying next to her. Opening her eyes she saw it was Sarah. She felt her painful breathing come to a complete stop as she looked at her bully. She wasn't breathing. Her own breath started to quicken as she started crying. Sarah was dead! No! No! She sobbed as she threw herself on Sarah. "No! No! I'm sorry! No! Don't die! Come back!"

There it was again. A flow of power. Death and life exchanging. A gasp.

Sarah let out a raspy gasp and sat up before falling back on the ground. Rachel stared at her, sobbing while trying to breath when a pair of strong hands pulled her from the ground and away from Sarah.

Suddenly there were adults everywhwere. "Teachers..." Rachel thought vaguely as she was pulled away from the children on the playground. Only now she noticed that almost the entire school had been watching the scene with wide and terrified expressions. Some of them were looking at her with such hatred that she felt herself cringe. All the while her troat was seriously hurting, her breathing was shocking and raspy and everything in her body ached. She was exhausted, frightened and didn't know what was happening.

She was pushed roughly into a chair. "Stay here, Rachel." the teacher, Mr Anderson said. He looked frightened at her. "Stay there and do not move." He shook his head and quickly walked out of the office, leaving Rachel alone. She heard the lock click.

All alone, and still sobbing, Rachel felt the exhaustion take over as she fell into the blissful dark.

She awoke with the feel of a cool hand on her forehead. Her eyes fluttered open and she gasped. "Do not move." The man who's hand was on her forehead looked at her seriously. "We are taking you somewhere safe. You do not have to be afraid anymore. Everything will be alright. Go back to sleep." His voice seemed to have some sort of command in it because she felt herself fall back into the dark.

She awoke into a room, laying on a bench. As she sat up she remembered what she had done and she felt the sobs come up again.
"It is alright." She gasped and stared into the shadows where the voice appeared to have come from. "That girl that attacked you is alright, she is in a coma, but she is expected to recover eventually." Rachel looked at the man standing there. "Stay in this room, someone will be with you shortly to explain everything."

He left Rachel sitting there, wondering what the heck was going on.

INTRODUCTIONS
SHOP RP
With: Malcolm, Rachel, Mr. X., Babs, Elvira

Rachel usually was a happy and bright-spirited girl. But not today. Today had been an absolutely horrible day. She let out an unhappy sigh as she touched her black eye and winced. Not just of the pain, but also because of the accompanying memory.

"You freak!" the girl that had spoken looked down on Rachel with her eyes widened in fear and disgust. "You don't belong here!" she gave Rachel a push and a punch in her eye.
Shocked, Rachel backed away. "B-but I didn't hurt anyone, did I?" she whispered as she looked around, trying to find a way to escape. There was none. The group kept on advancing to her. She felt strange. Everything seemed so blurry. Her head was throbbing. She gasped as she felt the girl's hands on her neck. "Die, you freak! Die!" the girl seemed to have gone mad and as Rachel felt her vision darken and her breath getting shorter and shorter, it suddenly stopped. She heard screams and when she opened her eyes she saw the girl lying on the ground. Did she do that? She looked onto her own hands and saw them glow with the life energy she had taken, no,stolen from that girl. Paling, she backed away and started sobbing.

Rachel shook her head somberly as she sat on the bench. Shortly after that, she was taken away to the police station where a few men dressed in black picked her up. And here she was.

She shivered as she could still feel the remains of the girl's energy flow through her.

Malcolm walked through the large oak doors, his heels clicking on the tile. Two men in uniforms walked behind him, ready in case he let his anger out again. He kept his head down, staring at his feet and recalling the incident a couple hours ago.

The house had been invested for years. With termites, roaches, flies, spiders....all sorts of insects. Malcolm's parents had tried to exterminate them a few times, but they kept coming back, and no one was sure why.
This morning, they had called the last group of exterminators in town to see if they could possibly rid the house of pests. Malcolm was furious about this. He liked the bugs...they were fascinating. It seemed as if he could control them, and he liked the power he had over them. So upon hearing his parents were going to get rid of them forever just made him burst.
Malcolm pictured in his mind swarms of horseflies and mosquitoes hovering over the house. He thought of spiders biting his parents until they couldn't move. He imagined bees stinging anything that moved. Then he opened his eyes......and all he could hear was buzzing. And screaming, and general terror. Thousands and thousands of varieties of insects were literally swarming the house, and none had even touched him.
He walked into his parent's room, where both of them were sprawled over the bed, covered in stings and swellings. He was terrified...it was obvious he had caused this. Without thinking, he closed his eyes and imagined all the bugs were gone. And then the buzzing stopped.

That's how he had arrived here. Evidentally the police thought he had some sort of power....

Slightly bored, Rachel carefully peeked around the room. It was empty, except for a dead ficus that stood a few meters away in a seemingly random place. Averting her gaze, she continued to look at the floor. But after a while, even that didn't seem to appeal anymore and she snuck another glance at the ficus.
No! She had gotten into enough trouble as it was already, she shouldn't be even thinking about this! But nonetheless her feet seemed to have a life of their own as they carried her to the dead ficus.
Staring at the ficus, she felt herself slip into a weird state of conscience in which she could see the ficus so much more clearer, she saw the dead cells of life and just knew what she needed to do to replenish them and give him a second chance of life. Hearing her own breathing in her ears she softly put her hands on the ficus and then the energy started to flow.
She blinked and let out a gasp. The ficus looked as if it was in its prime. She smiled, glad she had at least saved one life today.
Frowning, she realised people were approaching and quickly moved to sit on the bench. She felt her heart pounding wildly. What would they say if they saw she was a freak?? She cringed and prepared for what was about to come.

The men behind Malcolm stopped and put a hand on his shoulder. "Turn that way." He shrugged the hand off, and reluctantly turned down into a room....it appeared to be a waiting room of some sort. There were benches on either side, and a desk in the middle. He sat down on one of the benches while the men went up to the desk and rang the bell.
Malcolm folded his arms and looked down at the floor. He hadn't looked up once since he came. He didn't want to be here, let alone see what the place looked like

Rachel cringed as she saw two men and a boy enter but none of them seemed to notice her. As she saw the men leave, she waited anxiously for the boy to say something. Looking up at him she noticed he was gazing absentmindedly at the floor. He didn't seem to have noticed her.
But wait! Why would he be here? Would he also be-.... She pondered that for a moment before she carefully got up and silently made her way over to him. She stopped right in front of him and cleared her troat. She smiled a fake smile as she said: "Hi, I'm Rachel. Who are you?"

Malcolm looked up hurriedly when he heard the voice. Not another person to deal with. He didn't like people. Then again....if this girl was here, then that must mean she was like him too? Maybe.
"Oh..umm...hi. I'm Malcolm." He moved over on the bench to make room for her.

Rachel felt a bit more relieved now that he didn't seem to act hostile. "Thank you." She sat down next to him on the bench and looked at him. She was silent for several minutes, observing him, before she spoke. "So.. w-why are you here?" she asked it, not sure if she wanted to know the answer.

His legs swung under the bench. "I...kinda...um. Killed my parents. With bugs." He stared at the floor again, ashamed of himself. "What about you?"

She gazed up at him in wonder and was thinking if she should be afraid of him before she thought of what she had done. She shrugged and pointed at her black eye and the bruises on her neck. "This girl at school wasn't too happy with me, so when she tried to kill me, I caused her to go into a coma." she looked back at the ficus before she looked at Malcolm again. "Do you know why we're here?"

He looked at Rachel. "Well that's not nearly as bad as what I did. And the worst part is...nothing happened to me. I think they're afraid of us." He nodded towards the window. "Them. We aren't like them."

Rachel shivered as she unconsciencely lowered her voice. "B-but what will they do?" Her eyes widened "They won't try and kill us, right? Right? We're just kids!" She suddenly felt trapped and jumped from the bench towards the door. She started to pull at it, but it refused to open. "We're trapped in here, what if they come in with a gun?" she let out a moan as she put her entire weight on the door when it opened. She heard a strict voice "What is going on here?" and looked up in fear at the huge shadow standing there.

He put a hand to his head. Girls. They freaked out too much. "They aren't gonna kill us....besides, we're more powerful then them. If they even tried, we could get them before they got us." He jumped when the door opened. Who could it be?

He shuffled through some papers on his desk until he found the appropriate files. Leafing through them quickly, he jotted down a few more facts on his notepad and muttered to himself. "...charges sorted out... bribes..." he scratched his head and glanced at the clock. Realising they must have been waiting for some time now, he stood and walked into the empty corridor. He turned left, right, right, two more lefts until he came at the room he sought.

As he opened the door, he heard something crash on the ground on the other sound and a muffled outcry. He frowned as he stepped inside the room, looking quite strict. "What is going on here?" He gazed at both the children in here, the girl, Rachel as well as the boy, Malcolm.

Malcolm slouched down further in his seat. Great...now the guy's gonna think he knocked out Rachel. Just greaaat. "She was trying to escape." That sounded like such a lie.

Rachel glared at Malcolm as she sat up. "Was not!" she felt a blush creep up as she now noticed the scary shadow was just a man. He looked pretty strict and she quickly scrambled up. "I was just.. er..." she fell silent and looked defiantly up at the man standing there.

He merely smiled at the girl standing there. "Rachel, will you please sit next to Malcolm. I think you both could use an explanation." he watched as the girl let herself fall next to the boy. He pulled out a chair, put it in front of the two children and sat down.

He merely gazed at them, sizing them up, as it were.

Malcolm laughed to himself. Okayy, she was not trying to escape. He now moved his attention to the man in front of him, who seemed very...what was the word...professional. He looked as if he could be the owner of this place, which was very well possible. Malcolm glanced over to Rachel, who seemed afraid of the man, of course.

Rachel looked back at the man as well. Why wasn't he saying anything? This was unnerving. And Malcolm wasn't speaking either. She fidgeted a bit.

Umm...yeah. This was kind of awkward. Malcolm didn't like silence. A gnat flew in front of his face, and he instinctively made it stop flying, and grabbed it in his hand. The man cast him a look. Malcolm thought he didn't see...but then again....he cleared his throat.
"So...err...why are we here?" he asked the man, slowly opening his hand and letting the gnat fly away

The man nodded, as if he had been waiting for one of them to say something. "Well children, my name is Charles although most refer to me as Mr X. As you may have guessed, you are in a government agency. We are a secret agency known as the Super Hero Relocation Agency. We make sure that young people with extraordinary gifts, such as yourselves, will be trained and treated correctly. Since the situations at your own homes became unlive-able for the both you, we have found two people willing to be your guardian until you are capable of taking care of yourselves." he smiled as he saw they were trying to comprehend what he had just said. "Do you have any questions?" he asked kindly, looking at both Malcolm and Rachel.

Malcolm understood. He didn't want to go back home, anyway. He probably would have been put in jail. "So...what does this place have to do with it?" He was confused at that part. "and what about superheroes?" He certainly was no hero, let alone a superhero.

Charles turned to Malcolm. "Well, you two are not the only ones that have developed these powers. There are others too. These others wish to cause harm to others and spread their evil reign over this world. We, as in the government, have therefor decided to train those select few that are gifted to fight against them. We will help you to gain perfect control over your powers. Eventually you may decide to help us or simply go back to living in normal society. This is all up to you."

Rachel just stared at the man. This was weird. Bizarre! Preposterous! Fighting evil! He must be insane or something. She really couldn't think of anything to say. And yet... She looked at her hands. It would be nice to have some control over her powers because now everything just seemed to happen whenever she was feeling a strong emotion.

Malcolm looked at the gnat he had just released. If he could use this power...and do something with it...."So..umm...Mr. X, what exactly is going to happen to us? Do we stay here, or go with these new people...?"

Charles nodded at Malcolm. "We have found the both of you two guardians who will help you with the training of your powers. We believe they are qualified enough to handle any emergencies that might come up."
Charles reached into his pocket and pulled out two cards with a phone number on it. He handed on to each of them. "This is my phone number. If there are any problems, do not hesitate to call. You can reach me 24/7 and help will come immediatly." He stood up and walked to the door. "I'd like to introduce you to your new guardians." He pulled the door open...

Elvira took a deep sigh as she shared a glance with the woman standing next to her. She was about to meet the child she was supposed to take care of and train in just a few minutes. Rather anxiously, the woman absentmindedly brushed a blonde bang behind her ear, only to have it fall out a minute later. She shifted nervously as she leaned against the wall in this grey hallway. If this was the place where the children were brought in the first time, they would probably be quite uncomfortable. The opening of the door caught her quite unprepared as she rushed into the room.

Babs stood next to this woman...she didn't even know her name. Her anxiousness made her lose her manners, as it usually did. She tapped her nail against the wall, waiting for Mr. X to come back out with the children. To her surprise, she heard the door creak open. That was fast, she thought.

Charles looked up to see the two women waiting very anxiously. He surpressed a chuckle as he motioned for them to come in. "Please come in, you two." He waited until both women were inside the room before he closed the door and surveyed the scene in the room. He saw Rachel and Malcolm sitting next to each other, both looking as anxious as the two guardians-to-be on the other side of the room. He went to stand in between them as he turned to the children. "Rachel, I'd like to introduce you to your guardian: Elvira."
Rachel looked shyly at the woman standing there while muttering a soft "Hi there." Charles then turned to Malcolm. "Malcolm, this will be your guardian: Elaine." He then took a few steps to the side of the room to give them a chance to speak to each other.

Malcolm turned to Rachel. "Well...guess this is it. I'm sure we'll be seeing each other soon, though. Good luck." He gave a faint grin, then turned to Babs. "Err...hi."
She turned to him with a smile. "Hello, there."

Rachel looked Malcolm go and gave a soft gulp, she then pushed herself up and made herself over to her guardian. She looked at her carefully. "Hello..." her voice was soft, barely audible.
Elvira smiled at the girl, seeing that she was very shy, she decided not to push her luck and take it easy. "Hello Rachel, I understand you're scared, but you don't have to worry. Everything will be alright." She smiled gently at the girl.

COMING HOME
PRIVATE RP
With: Rachel, Elvira.

((must rewrite))

Elvira had finally found the first-aid kit in one of the cupboards that were on the opposite side of the kitchen and pulled out another chair to sit in front of Rachel. She smiled up at her as she started to pack out the necessairy supplies. “So… Care to tell me what happened to you?” she said it quietly as she dabbed something on Rachel's eye. Rachel winced. "Sarah did it."
The thought of Sarah made her feel all horrible again and she just burst out in tears. She felt how Elvira put her arms around her and pulled her on her lap. She didn't say anything, just murmured some soothing words as she rubbed her back and held her close.

Elvira looked at Rachel for a second before instinctively pulling the child on her lap and soothing it by stroking her back and murmuring reassuring words. When the sobs finally started to subdue a bit, she held Rachel until her breathing became calm again. She had been told, of course, what had happened to her, and clearly it must have traumatised the child. Worried, she stood up, still carrying Rachel and moved to the second floor. Opening a random door with her elbow, she prayed it was a bedroom. It was. Elvira quietly made her way to the bed and carefully put down her charge. Removing only her shoes, she tucked her in and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"Goodnight, little one." she tiptoed back to the door and took one look back at the sleeping Rachel before she closed the door and went downstairs to eat a sandwich.

PRIVATE TRAINING
PRIVATE RP
With: Rachel, Elvira.

"Alright, Rachel, lets try this one more time." Elvira smiled encouragingly towards the young girl in front of her. The young one let out a frustrated sigh. "But it's not working!" she slammed her fists on the table, causing the several plants on it to rattle and nearly fall off. "Come on Rachel, be careful now." Elvira eyed her warily. "If the plants fall they will die, and since you can't use your powers at all, they will stay that way." She saw how the girl's eyes started to water. Alright. That might have been a bit cruel, but that heightened emotional state was just what was needed.

Letting out a sigh herself, Elvira sat down on the other end of the table and looked Rachel straight in the eye. "Now, just try it again. Concentrate, try to focus on the deepest image of the plant and on how it's supposed to be. I know you an do it." she gave Rachel another encouraging smile. "Go on."

Deeply frustrated, Rachel ground her teeth and tried to ignore her anger and frustration. She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. "Stay calm. Stay calm." as she relaxed, she felt her anger seeping away. As she relaxed even more, a sudden lurch went through her when she suddenly became aware of everything around her. Gasping, she opened her eyes and looked around in shock.

"What's wrong?" Elvira had been watching her intently and got to her feet immediatly. "Rachel?" Frowning, she walked to the other side of the table and put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Rachel? Can you-" She broke of abruptly as the child let out a terrifying scream before violently throwing herself of the chair. Terrified, Elvira stood there, now knowing what to do at all. "Rachel!" "Rachel! Calm down!" She tried to put her hand on Rachel again, to try to shake her awake, but the girl pulled back before she could even reach her. Desperate, Elvira looked around, seeing the can of water on the table, she didn't hesitate and dumped the contents all on Rachel.

Rachel let out another gasp and started coughing. Elvira practically lunged forward to support her. "Rachel, what happened?" her voice was laced with worry, as she softly rubbed the child's back.

Rachel sniffed and let out a hiccup. "Everything looked so different, like it was all made out of light and stuff." She leaned in closer to Elvira . "And everything was so pretty and I could all feel it inside of me and it was as I knew just what it was... was made of and looked like and felt like. You know? What it really felt like. And the table was made of light and the plants, but the plants were more bright than the table and they were sending out things to me and then you came closer, and- and you were even more bright than the plants brightness! Much more bright, and then you touched my shoulder and it hurt, it really hurt and it was as if your brightness wanted to go to mine and I was afraid I would hurt you like..." At this point of her speech waterfall, tears were spilling down Rachel's cheeks and she clung on to Elvira .

Flabberghasted, Elvira kept on holding Rachel. "Light, you say?" She continued to rub Rachel's back and trying to soothe her, but her mind was working overtime. Light? Life? Energy? She'd have to call Charles about that later. She noticed Rachel stopped crying. "You alright now? How are you feeling?"

Rachel sniffed, "I'm tired and I'm hungry. For something cold. Like strawberries, but frozen." She grinned weakly. Elvira chuckled. "One strawberry icecream for miss Dew, coming up. Come on."

She pulled up Rachel and the two of them went back to the house to eat some well deserved icecream.

PROMPT - THE NEWS BROADCAST

((The following is a news broadcast. You can choose to ignore this or happen to see it. The broadcasting started at 6 PM on CNN with vague stories. The actual statement, what will be shown below, starts at ten PM.))

The newsreader looked into the camera. "Alright ladies and gentlemen, we've been reporting to you for the past four hours now about the triple murder in the center of Metropolis. There was a Villain concerned, Solarduct who murdered three children. One of the children was believed to be a Super. We now go live to Maria Beckingtail, who's at the spot."

He turned to the side, to a screen appearing "Maria, what is the updated sitation?"

"Well Bill, only five minutes ago, a government agent has given a press statement which we will show you now."

The image flicked to show Charles standing in front of the crowd. He raised his hand and everything became silent. He cleared his throat.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Today, at september 23rd, 5 PM a terrible tragedy occured here in Metropolis.

The Villain Solarduct has attacked the First Kidz play area and murdered three children. These children were eleven years old."

He paused as the muttering started and raised his hand again. "The guardian of one of the children was murdered by Solarduct too, at approximately 4 PM today too. I will take a few questions now."

Charles pointed at someone off screen and the voice of Maria could be heard. "Thank you sir." she cleared her throat, "Several witnesses that have been released have testified that the boy that was attacked was a Super, that he tried to defend himself by shooting something at Solarduct, but that it was too weak. Is this true?"

Charles nodded. "Yes, that is correct. The child was following a training course with the government. His powers were not yet developed enough to take on Solarduct so it was to no avail."

Charles pointed to someone else off the screen. "So does that mean that the government, or the NSA, I suppose, is currently training more children to be Supers one day?"

Charles shook his head "I am not allowed to comment on anything regarding work with the government. Next question please."

Maria called out again "So what's the government going to do next? Are they going to apprehend Solarduct and bring him to justice? Are you not afraid for a thing like Neuron City to be happening again?"

There was a very slight twitch of Charles' eyebrow. "We have been trying for quite some time now to apprehend Solarduct, but this is not easy. The current Supers that are in commission are overworked and have been in several confrontations with Solarduct, but have not yet won. We are working on this matter, but I'm afraid to say there's no promise or guarantee we can make for the future. We feel we have set up a suffice defense to prevent Neuron City from ever happening agan. Thank you. No further questions."

The image changed back to Maria. "There you have it Bill. The government is training children to become the next Supers, but Solarduct is hunting them all down! The government agent wouldn't comment on anything else, but it is suspected that there are more of these children. Perhaps they are living among us, they could be your neighbour! What I would feel necessairy to point out, is that, if you disover your neighbour to be a Super, do NOT reveal this to anyone else. They are the heroes of the future, and when they are all murdered, what hope will there be for us? This was Maria Beckingtail for CNN, live at the crimescene."

The image faded out, and Bill got full view again. He was silent. "Well, that's... surprising. All information can be found on our site, which is updated hourly. We wil be right back after these commercial breaks. I am Bill Notnil. Goodnight."

Yawning, and hanging lazily on the couch, Rachel kept on flipping through all the different channels. Elvira had just bought a sattelite dish the other day, so now there were over three hundred channels to choose from. There wasn't even anything remotely interesting on, anywhere.

Rachel let out an annoyed grunt as she kept on flipping and flipping. As she passed the news channel she did a double-take. Was that Charles?! It was! Letting out a gasp, she quickly turned on the volume. Frowing, she listened intently to what was being told and leaned back, horrified. So, Solarduct was out trying to kill them... She felt tears rise and swallowed a few times.

"E-elvira?" he voice was hoarse. "ELVIRA!" she let out a desperate cry for her guardian as she rushed through the door to find her.

Elvira looked up in alarm as she heard Rachel cry out and moved towards her. When she turned into the living room, the young girl had already crashed into her and started screaming and shouting about all sorts of things.

Shocked, Elvira bent down and rested a hand on Rachel's cheek. "Rachel... calm down. Tell me what happened." She looked the girl deeply into her eyes, trying to read what was going through her head.

Tears still streaming, Rachel relayed to Elvira what she had heard on the news. "And so... this evil Villain wants to kill me!" She let out another cry as she kicked against the wall.

Elvira laughed.

Rachel stopped in shock. Dumbfounded that her guardian would laugh about such a thing. "You...why.." Mouth hanging open, she didn't know what else to say. Elvira now smirked. "Hey, hey now. I'll make sure that, when the time comes... you will be able to kick that guy's a**." her smirk widened.

Elvira's confidence seemed to have a calming effect on Rachel. "You think so? You think I can do that?" Rachel stared at Elvira in shock, some tears still in the corners of her eyes and then smirked herself. "Okay! I will train very very hard! And then, when he comes, I'll kick his a**!" she giggled. "You said the word a**." She kept on giggling as Elvira patted her head and they both went to sit on the couch to see what exactly had happened.

Training 2

"Okay Rachel, let's try this again. You know what's at stake, right? We're talking about your life here." Elvira was encouraging Rachel. They had been had it for little over an hour now and nothing much had been happening.

Rachel still needed deep concentration to be able to view the energy of all creatures around her, but she was getting the hang of it. She was currently sitting in her chair, frowning, eyes tightly shut, fists clenched and trying with all her might.

Finally feeling it come up again, she unleashed the breath she had been holding and opened her eyes to look around her. She felt more relaxed now. Getting to this state cost her a lot, but staying inside of it was a lot easier. "O-okay, I can see now." she muttered and stood up. She swayed slightly but managed to stay up.

Elvira bit her lip, making sure to stay at a safe distance. Whenever something big and alive went near Rachel, the girl would go beserk due to an overdose of information and signals. Her body simply couldn't handle it.

She softly sighed. "Well done, Rachel. I know this is hard for you and I know you are tired, but we need to get this thing going much faster. Otherwise it's no good."

Rachel nodded carefully, walking towards the table that had a single plant on it. She smiled. It looked so pretty. Everything seemed to be built up out of light, all in varying degrees of brightness and color. There was nothing in nature that was lifeless. Even in something as simple as a concrete wall, there was a flicker of life to be traced. But the brightest of all were the actual life forms. Elvira's form was so bright Rachel could hardly bear to look at it. And when she got close, she could also feel Elvira. And that hurt, a lot.

Rachel looked back at the plant. Where Elvira was so bright she could barely look at it, the plant didn't do a bad job either. It was much brighter than the objects in the surroundings and was clearly distinguisable. Even the different parts of the plant were differently lit up.

As Rachel approached the plant, she tenderly reached out her hand and let it rest on one of the leaves. She shuddered slightly and closed her eyes as she started to pull. Wanting the energy to go inside of her and outside of the plant.

She cringed as the flow started. All energy went inside of her, filling her up, making her feel nice and a lot less tired. It came and it came and it kept on coming. Rachel was now panting for breath as she held on and let the energy come into her. She clenched her other hand into a fist and gritted her teeth as it was becoming too much. This was way too mu-... it stopped.

It stopped so suddenly that the shock caused Rachel to back away. She was still panting and snapped her eyes open, looking at the plant.

Or what once was a plant. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw nothing left in the plant, no life whatsoever, just a black shell. She could see it, but it wasn't lit up, it was af it it was a faint shade of grey of what it should be.

Tears fell down her face and down onto the floor. She let out a sob. More specks of life, going to waste. Little droplets of pure light, falling and splashing into nothing onto the floor. It laid there when it slowly faded away and was pulled into the floor, causing it up to lit up a bit extra for just a moment.

Elvira looked on worriedly. Whenever Rachel took the life from something, she had a mental reaction like that. Elvira supposed it would feel as if Rachel was killing something. "Stay calm Rachel, stay calm. Remember what we talked out before? Stay calm. Work on your breathing."

Listening to Elvira's voice was indeed calming and she tried to do as she said. Breath in, breath out, breath in, breath out, stay calm. Stay calm at all costs.

She looked back up to the plant and approached the dead shell. Holding up her hand she looked down at it and concentrated again. "Leave, leave, leave, leave, leave." She let out a grunt as she focused and then it slowly started. Very slowly, a teensy bit of light formed into the tips of Rachel's fingers. "More.. more... leave." her whole body was tense as she forced her life into her fingers, slowly increasing the small pinpoint of life into a bigger orb, though no larger than one inch. She felt horrible, her head was pounding, but she wasn't going to give in. She put her hand back on the dead plant and wanted the energy from her hand to go back into the plant.

And as she did so, as she felt her life fade away, she also could feel how the life of the plant was starting to return. As a river of light, life was spreading through it, brightening it more and more and returning it to the way it was.

Elvira could not surpress a gasp as Rachel made the plant bloom once again. Whenever Rachel took a plant, it would shrivel up, and lose all colour to become a pitiless shadow of what it had once been.

But now... when Rachel was giving life it was the complete reverse. The once dead plant, was slowly straightening up, retaining back it's colour and started to bloom. Elvira was quite sure it hadn't looked like this back when Rachel took it's life and her face took on a worried look. Wasn't Rachel giving back too much?

"Rachel... Rachel, stop it." She watched how the girl got paler and paler, and the plant got livelier and livelier.

"RACHEL!" She sprinted towards Rachel and pulled her away from the plant, breaking the touch. Rachel let out a shocked cry when pulled away and collapsed, bringing Elvira along with her.

She was shivering and shuddering, clutching on to Elvira with an awfully pale skin. Elvira slowly stroked the hair out of her face. "Well done Rachel. Well done." She held on tightly to the child for a moment when she lifted her and brought her back upstairs.
