eek
Russell T. Davies wrote this episode? My favourite episode?
Now, according to the rules of my clan, I have to go poke myself in the eye...
I can't believe HE wrote THAT. Except for all the married people - maybe it was a clue and I should have guessed.

Good thing RTD managed to confine himself to 6x6 ft corridorless cubes for this ep... although he managed to slip in a gay joke.
And "you are not alone" What a gip.

I was so annoyed - I was getting really teary when Boe died and Mum was just like "it was scarier in the olden days..." Mum~! Shurrup!! I enjoyed it. More than i thought I would, even if Mum was being really annoying the whole way through. I'm kinda getting used to Martha now... didn't think I would.
I HATED the "you are not alone". I guess I spent too long on the DT-forum's guess-the-revelation thread which was HILARIOUS! Everything from "I like a chip" to "you are the father!", though everyone had thought it would be "you are not alone", so I was dissapointed that it actually was.
It was nice to see the crabs back from 1967 (no, I wasn't around then... but someone lent me a tape a while ago!) and the Confidential was cool as usual... but what if up top they didn't have enough parking spaces?!?!

I thought that episode was really good, with all the different people in the cars, and the Face Of Boe. I guess we found out what the aliens from Doctor Who's past are! Why did they have to go and kill off one of my favourite characters?!

Cow Demon Today the Doctor got to shout:
'MAAARRTTHHAAAAAAA!'
Defiantly not as effective as:
'ROOOOSSSSEEEEEEE!'] I lol'd at that part. Cow Demon Actually, I am going to question the logic of Doctor Who.
HOW THE ******** DID A WOMAN GIVE BIRTH TO KITTENS!!?!?!? Don't question the logic! scream Loved this episode. Loved the eventual plot twist, and loved the nods to th past. Loved the kittens even if they did defy logic. Read those blogs you linked to Roobarb, and was glad to find other people compared this to Paradise Towers (I thought that within the first five minutes, and I LOVED that episode) But a few things really peeved me, like: How did the cat nun find the Doctor? Why in God's name (literally) are they singing??? What??? Hearing the "everyone lost" Time War explaination for the zillionth time (teared at the Gallifrey description though) And "You are not alone" scream I wanted to be shocked with that! Boe's death was the worst part of the episode. Amazing plot twist with the virus though, and it's more consequences for the Doctor; if the cat nuns were still around would this have happened? Morally, was it okay for him to cause this future? It's like the satellite 5-gaming station link. Okay, done now. Kittens!!!!

Morally, was it okay for him to cause this future? It's like the satellite 5-gaming station link. I don't think the Cat Nuns would have helped avert the disaster. Novice Hame said that everyone started dying off within minutes of the new mood patch being used... barely enough time for them to save those in the lower levels by cutting them off. FOB's final words were kind of a letdown for me. Yeah, I know what 'You are not alone' is supposed to foreshadow, but in the context of what Boe was saying... it could have meant anything. Anyway, I liked this story overall. Even though the resolution was another quick fix, the story felt fresh and the visuals were excellent. And no real baddie in this episode, the Macra being just a bunch of big dumb crabs minding their own business and living off car gas fumes. Next week: Martha and the Doc go from New New York to Old New York. Swell.

It was probably the best episode of series three so far, FOB's death made me sad, and was suprised about the cat lady, how did she get out of prison? Well anyway, Ardal O'Hannlon as a cat, and he had kittens! THAT SAID MAMA!!! !!!! ! The Macra woot, of course I only remembered them after watching doctor who confidential since I've only seen one episode of that story it's very easy to forget those big crabs. The face of Boe's message was a bit of letdown since everyone's been saying it was you are not alone for ages, but all in all a really good episode. The lesbian Grannies were funny too razz .

Wasn't Gridlock ******** fantastic! heart I'd been hearing the rumour of The Face Of Boes secret for months, I was prepared for what he said. I wonder where the others or other Time Lord/s are then. o.o
I can see lots of emotional times ahead for Tenny. heart I'm glad he's signed up for the next series.

Excellent episode! From the Doctor's description of Gallifrey, to the Pharmacists selling moods, to the carjackers, to the kittens (SWEEEEEETTTT!!! I love kittens!), to the Doctor trying to get to the fast lane, to the Face of Boe's last words and the Doctor telling Martha about the Time War to the strains of Abide With Me. I loved every minute, and I have to admit I cried. David Tennant is the Doctor whose stories have made me cry most though.
As to the Macra, I ws a bit confused about them. Which story were they in first time round? I just sort of went "OK, weird giant crabs..."
Favourite quote:
Martha: Last time? Doctor: Yeah. Martha: That'd be with Rose, then? Doctor: Yeah. Martha: You're taking me to the same planets you took her? Doctor: (puzzled) What's wrong with that?! Martha: Nothing. Ever heard the word "rebound"?
