Drive down to the fast lane!

GIANT ENEMY CRABS!

They were cool.

I cried at the Face of Boe's death, and the Doctor finally talking about the Time War. He NEVER does that. It was so sad. BUT.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

I think I know what that means.

Also, Mr. Tennant you are a FANTASTIC actor. His expression at that moment was so REAL, it really tugged at my heart. ;-;

THAT was my FAVOURITE episode since Eccleston left! Possibly even my favourite episode in the new series ever! I was a bit iffy at first (why would everyone put up with living in traffic jams?) but then all the explanations worked and the characters were great (mostly) and IT HAD THE MACRA TERROR!!!!

Sorry. Will catch breath now and comment more later. I loved this episode. 4laugh xd whee

i always knew the timelords would still survive (well some of them) maybe its the doctors son.

it was impossible to assume that he would be the last of his kind. the timelords used to police alternate dimensions as well. so maybe some escaped the timewar to there.

but in this seasons finale (titled "the last of the timelords") theres supposed to be a major twist concerning the doctor....we already know he goes & gets jack from torchwood for the last half of the season, so whos to say that other timelords appear. PLUS on top of that the doctors mortal enemy "the master" is in this series or the next one (i cant remember what episode though) and as he is also a timelord then the doctor cant be alone. maybe thats what the face of bo was refering to.

Today the Doctor got to shout:

'MAAARRTTHHAAAAAAA!'

Defiantly not as effective as:

'ROOOOSSSSEEEEEEE!'

I really liked this episode, and I really hope the Time Lords do come back. Mainly because the probability of them not surviving at all is very low, but also coz it would be really cool to see the doctor with another Time Lord. I just have a problem. How come the master can come back if he was sucked into the TARDIS in someone else's body with minus 1 regeneration left? Just a thought.
Can't wait till next week. DALEKS!!! Although, I want to see the one with the evil scarecrows in even more!

Everybody say 'Awwwwwww' over those kittens. And the daylight and singing bits. Real tear-jerker.

And the surreal-ness of a cat with a gun. And all those wierd people in the cars - very multi-cultural.

I loved it!

Well, I have to say, that was great. I'll give it a 5/5 simply because it's the best Tennant episode, ever.

Ok, so, firstly, I'd like to make it clear I was being very careful to pay attention to the actual episode, not just the Face of Boe's last words. Infact the whole "You are not alone" thing was probably the least important part of the episode for me. What, in my poinion, made this episode great is the plot. First, it's an enormous traffic jam, on a multi-level motorway where it takes a lifetime to reach your destination. Then, there's something funny going on, perhaps aliens, perhaps monsters, perhaps highwaymen. Then the fact that there were no officials down there hinted that it was a conspiracy; this was the best bit for me. Suddenly, the motorway thing kind of makes sense, people head off looking for a new place to find, and never get out of the motorway. The fast lane requires three people and there's something weird down there, with people disappearing all the time. The whole motorway is a solution to overcrowding. The undercity is filled with the less fortunate, they want to get somewhere else, they go to the motorway. The people in the overcity would probably be rich, they'd get to live in their glorious city, without poor people to bother them. And the things in the fast lane might be aliens, wanting something to eat, perhaps. A perfect deal: The rich get rid of the poor and solve overcrowding and deal with the aliens(who might be a threat), and the aliens get what they want.

Then, you discover that they're trapped down there for a much less evil reason; everyone above them is dead, and they were kept down there to protect them from a virus. Less complex, but somehow more interesting and satisfying. A definate 5/5 in my mind, but not because of the Face of Boe's last words or Tennant looking like his head was melting(which was actually good acting, I'll admit, he definately conveyed tragic feelings of sadness and loss), but because of the episode's story itself.
