naruTARD NiNJA x *agrees with Naruto being Gaara's soulmate* Why? Gaara and Naruto were only seen with eyes of fear and hate. They received no love from anyone, only the hatred that surrounds them. They both carry monsters within them, a living nightmare they wished was never there. They were left to rot in solitude, but along the way they met each other. Naruto showed Gaara the values of friendship. No longer being alone, no more hatred. Gaara became a stronger person with more affection towards others, not with murderous intent. Naruto has opened a new path for Gaara. *highfive* ;o

Lionakallista Personally if he were to go out with Rock lee i would go and puke in a corner same with him and Naruto and i really don't want to see sand incest Can anybody come up with an idea of Gaara being with a girl not just boys also think that maybe ANKO!! j/k.... whoever... just please no more yaoi ~Hatori_Sueshijuu~ i think tis a great thing u ppl r tryin to find Gaaras happy place.. a girl/guy and something that makes him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside... well... u know what i mean.... but still KUDOS TO U PPLZ!!!!! and also... i think Gaara will be angst w/ all the fangirls out to get him.. hes already died once give the man a break! XDD im with the others on this.. any guy/ girl that is the complete opposite of Gaara would be perfect... ^^ the lite in the Dark ^^

Okay, please don't think of this as a flame, because in no way am I intending it to be, but I need to state my opinion here. . .
I love the relationship between Gaara and Naruto, but as a friendship. I don't support it romantically. One can attribute this to three reasons: my dislike for the yaoi/shounen-ai fandom in general, yaoi/shounen-ai often involves characters who either I don't see as being attracted to those of the same sex or those who I know for a fact aren't (this would make them OOC, which is a pet peeve of mine), and my overall pickiness toward pairings. Sorry, but I can't picture Gaara (even if he did develop those sort of feelings) and Naruto liking guys.
Of course, Gaara and Naruto are close, but they are not the sort of friends that will talk endlessly to one another or come into any kind of physical contact. For those of you who have read the manga, just think back to how awkward it was between them toward the end of the arc. The way I view their relationship is something that is felt, rather than expressed. It's real, it's strong and deep, but it's not tangible, rather, it's more obscure. Despite all that has happened between the two, and even though they can identify with each other, there is a distance between them.
That's what I love about their relationship, and romance would only ruin it for me. They are friends and I like them that way.

I do agree with you that Naruto and Gaara are only friends in the Anime/Manga but I like Yaoi! So this is my fav. pairing in the fanfic world when it comes to Yaoi!! ^.^ I still prefer Gaara/Sakura pairing! (that is the only girll I can really see Gaara with)

Call me crazy, but I like the pairing GaaHina! xd Hinata's so shy, and weak mentally, even though she's grown so much. She still has ways to go, and I could see Gaara being attracted to that. To that little weakness she still has. Like a new urge to protect her, because he doesn't want to see her flame of determination snuffed out heart heart
Sakura too~! She's so strong, but she has her moments where she doubts herself, and he could be her support, and she could carry him through his trouble when he needs her the most too!!!

Ever considered Shino? He could totally spark his interest!! He could be reclusive and just remain distant, while Gaara gets curious. "Why is he avoiding people?....Like how I was...Am..." And all of that romantic junk.

I'd say a girl and I'd say Hinata. They're both opposite, and similar. Thanks to fangirl logic, there's something about The Hyuuga Hieress having to marry Kazekage for peacemeaking reasons. Logical but I will explode from happyness if it happens

I may be WEIRD...
I approve of narugaa and gaaralee, both exelent pairings, but personally my favorites are kimigaa and gaarahaku. the hole in my plan, of course, is that both are dead. XD
kimigaa: same philosophy as narugaa, the 'both loners, both abused, ect', but I like kimigaa better because I have a soft spot in my heart for obscure but powerful characters.
gaarahaku: oppisite, yet the same. Both are dark and kind of emo, but Haku is respectful and kind where gaara is hurtful and murderous.
