Ayame stared into the water and twittered her wings slightly, unsure. It would be something to fly...She could better help Aure if she wasn't underfoot. And she could reach higher on the wall if she hadn't grown much before then...
"Yeah...but you can control water now, My wings are more to help me not be clumsy and look pretty right now." Her solemn voice changed after a moment. as she tryed to lighten up. "What's water really like, i've not liked it because of abths and all but you make it seem fun."
"Do you play any, or just with the water, and your..." she thought for a moment and as a shadow if a cloud passed over she spoke, "knives?" Talking with a new illusion was okay but sitting here was making her feel fidgety. maybe she could get the other girl to do something with her, or maybe Veive had more to tell? She wasn't sure.

Ayame's remarks scared Veive a little but she tried not to let it show. By all rights, she shouldn't be able to control anything with water but she had been aquiring these skills somehow and not becuase she wanted to. "I'd much prefer to fly though, even if I had to wait." Her tail swished as she thought about it and tried to hide her fears about her future. "I probably won't be able to do much more then this. At least you have something to look foreward to." She smiled and wriggled her toes free of some entangling plant that had floated by. It wasn't a very welcome feeling.
Her blue eyes looked at the water as she tried to think of an answer about water. "It's nice I guess. I like the feel of it. There's nothing really special about it, I just...I don't know. I'm connected to it. That's the only way I can explain it even though it doesn't make much sense. It's fun becuase when you can float and you feel weightless...but you have to be careful cause it could be dangerous." Her eyes got dark for a minute before she shook it off and moved on to a different subject.
"Play?" Veive said and cocked her head to the side, thinking, her eyes returning to normal. She played, but not the way she thought Ayame meant or with others. "I guess so, just not often. Why? Do you want to play?"

Ayame felt something odd when Veive responded, though she couldn't tell if it was because of Veive or just her being over reactive, what was it though...
"You don't like to do things just for fun?" She wasn't sure where the question came from and as soon as it escaped her lips she took on a puzzled look as she tried to figure out what had lead her to say it. She shook her head and spoke again. "Would you like to? IF you would maybe we could come up with something?"

Veive's ears perked curiously. She had never been asked to play before, so she wasn't really sure what this girl meant, but it sounded like fun...
"I guess I just have a lot to think about so I that's what I spend a lot of time doing. I'd like to play though. Do you know any good...umm...games?" She asked, almost shyly. She didn't want to admit that she had never played a game before. Surely she had played some with her sister when she was growing up, but that was lost with her other memories and this life had been to crazy to rediscover them.

Ayame grinned with pleasure, so she would do something for fun! What to do....Hideaway could be fun... but all there was out here to hide in was the grass...what to do...she turned her head down and thought slowly on what they could do, surely there was something. Tag? That just might work! she turned her grin up at Veive.
"How about tag? do you know how to play that?"
Ayame stood up and straightened out her dress before slipping her shoes back on. This would be better then sitting around the house when she couldn't draw!

Veive shook her head as she pulled her feet from the water, slipping her shoes back on after drying them as best she could. A game sounded like a nice idea and she wanted to hit herself for thinking that, even though she didn't know why. Standing up, she brushed off her own dress and looked at Ayame curiously. "I've never heard of it. Is it fun?"
Her eyes looked at their dresses and the thought of getting them dirty repulsed her, but at the same time she wasn't sure if she cared. What was up with these conflicting thougts? Brushing that idea from her mind she attempted to smile and look excited. No thinking...today, she was allowing herself to have fun and forget about everything else.

Ayame grinned and it was all she could do not to jump with giddy energy. Tag would be perfect! "Yes, it's great! It's really easy too, we choose who is 'it' and then the person who isn't has to run and keep from being tagged for as long as they can! all you have to do to tag is manage to touch me."
Ayame fluttered her wings in anticipation. Lavi had taught her the game but she hadn't had a chance to play it with another illusion till now. and there was so much space! Her mind was still childish, though for how much longer she would remain so, there was no way to know.
"You be it first! since it's your first time it's only fair, chasing is more fun I think!" She didn't even give Veive a chance to respond and took off for the grass, her little feet pounding the damp dirt surrounding the pond until she vanished into the grass, laughing with delight.

Veive attempted to understand the point of this game but didn't quite get why it was fun. So, one person chased the other, and touched them then ran away and tried not to get touched back. That didn't seem to complicated. Before she could even agree though or ask about any other rules Ayame was off and in the grass.
"Hey, no fair!" She pouted, giving chase. Pushing her way into the tall grass, her eyes were just above it so it was hard to find Ayame who was so much shorter. Looking around hse heard a rustle to her right and gave chase...shoving her way through the tall blades in pursuit of her new found friend.
((Oh, and to add to what I told you, I think that besides her sister, Ayame is definatly her first friend. ^_^ ))

Ayame giggled with glee as she heard the grass behind her go down by another's foot. "You can't catch me!" She cried, half laughing as she yelled. She wasn't sure how long she could keep away from the bigger illusion by running but as long as she stayed in the grass she would stand a chance.
She laughed aloud and then darted to the left, the wind barely changing to follow her change of course, not so much that she could even notice. She listened carefully as she darted through the blades that covered most of the field like a green blanket. She turned just a little bit left again, the wind again changing ever so slightly to cover her new course. This was as fun with her new friend as it was with Lavi, the thought pushing her good spirits higher and making her want to cry out her happiness to the fields inhabitants.
[technically it's the same with Veive, She's ayame's first friend too, as far as the timeline goes. It will kind of depend on the orp with tangia to determine the relationship between the two sisters.]

Veive's long legs gave her a slight advantage so she decided to not run at full speed to try to make the game last longer since she wasn't quite clear on what happened when she caught Ayame. Did they switch roles or did the game end? As she thought about that she perked her ears as the grass rustles moved left...and then left again, doubling back almost. Turning, she attempted to cut Ayame off but was a few second too late so continued her wild pursuit. At least now she could see the tips of her wings.
It was the first time that Veive had really and truly had fun with someone besides Ice and she was enjoying it immensely. Maybe they could play another game after this if it wasn't too late. It would be bad to ruin such a great day by being late and getting yelled at.

Ayame could hear the grass crash behind her and she squealed, giddy with happiness, and tried to run a little faster. She turned her head to look behind her, unsure of exactly how close Veive now was. She grinned and turned again, just a little more to the left, completing her turn back towards where she had begun. The wind, again, subtly shifted as if it was a watching pair of eyes.
She wondered how much longer she could keep running, Veive was good at this, she kept getting so close! She giggled to herself as a thought of what they could do after she chased Veive, but then her thoughts strayed back to the chase at hand.
Maybe...just maybe...she began to flap her wings and broke into a hover, but maintaining the speed she had built up running. If she wasn't already smiling as wide as she could she would have grinned as she rushed on, unhindered by the ground; she wasn't exactly flying but perhaps Veive was right, that she would one day be able to. it would be so much fun to tell her she was right one day. The wind picked up ever so slightly, but not enough to actually be noticeable as odd.

Veive's smile broadened slightly as she saw Ayame's wings begin to beat. She wasn't quite flying, but it was defiantly a step in the right direction. Pushing the tall grass out of her vision she attempted to reach out and touch the butterfly girl but was a few inches short every time. She considered lunging for her but the thought of getting her white dress dirty didn't sit well with her. As the chase rose in intensity, her hand just now mere centimeters from Ayame all reason fled her as she jumped, laying a hand on Ayame's arm and just barely keeping her balance.
She stood there for a second thinking. What happened now? Was she supposed to just turn and run or did they start from the same point again? Did she have to tag her more then once? Oh, this was confusing...

As Ayame felt Veives hand come to lay on her arm she cried out in surprise and began to backwing, bringing herself back to the ground, only her newfound speed she had gained by hovering was not enough for her legs to handle as her feet came to the earth. She felt herself flip over as her feet caught on a clump of grass and for a moment she found herself staring at Veive, only upside down, before she crashed out of the grass near the small drop off they had been sitting on earlier. her heels caught the earth as she came out and the remaining speed threw her onto her chest, her face burrowing slightly into the moist earth before she bounced and with a scream launched of the ledge and out over the water.
She had clinched her eyes shut the moment she'd gone over the edge, awaiting the terrible splash and inwardly screaming to herself not to hit the water, flapping her little wings madly.
....?....
and yet no splash came, the expected deluge didn't happen, though she could feel her feet in the water. she opened her eyes, shaking all over to find herself over the water but not in it, her feet barely submerged. Slowly it began to dawn on her how much her wings were beginning to hurt, she willed herself to keep at it, tears of terror and pain forming in her eyes as she looked up and across the water to the shore, where she could see Veive coming through the grasses. Why couldn't she get herself to go forward?! back to the shore, BACK TO THE SHORE!!! but no matter how she wanted it she remained put. her wings were slowing and as they quickly wore through the last of their strength she cried out again,
"Veive! H-"
and she dropped into the water....

((I thought that you had something up your sleeve...now...how exactly would Veive react.....?))
Veive had seen Ayame take a small tumble and it had surprised her slightly before she reminded herself that the girl was only a toddler. She had followed, thinking that she would be fairly close, but it sounded like....
Pushing forward faster, her eyes opened as she realized that Ayame was not a few feet in front of her, probably crying about some bruised limb from the small tumble, but hovering over the water, almost several yards away. Her eyes went wide as she saw the butterfly girl cry her name before falling into the water. Wanting a moment, Veive hoped that she would see the girl's head above water. Maybe she knew how to swim? It was soon obvious that Ayame could not swim and Veive looked slightly panicked. She didn't know what to do at all. None of her discovered powers could help and she had avoided actually swimming since...well, since she could remember. She wasn't even sure if she could swim!
Looking around, she called out for Ice but was answered by the silence of the woods. No, she had wandered away for solitude and that little idea had defiantly come back to bite her. Steeling herself, Veive ran head long at the water....and stepped onto it.
Running across the surface to where she had seen Ayame disappear, she knelt down on the glassy surface and stared down. It wasn't deep and she could see her friend but just as the water kept her from falling through, it prevented her from reaching Ayame. Beating her tiny fists, she howled in aggravation at being so close...and then her fist smashed through the liquid. Quickly grabbing Ayame's wrist, she hauled her above the surface.

Ayame coughed and sputtered as Veive pulled her from beneath the water, she wanted to cry yet couldn't for the water she was till coughing up. She trembled weakly and made a small attempt to move her wings, though they clung together from their submersion, and this did make her cry, as it hurt, emotionally and the strain of them being forcefully held together. shr grimaced and squinted her eyes before letting herself just cry in sheer shock from the terror of it.
Ayame reached back with one hand and weakly grabbed onto Veive's wrist, tears fleeing her eyes as she stared down at the water. She wanted to get away from it, fast, but she couldn't voice it for the trauma as well as the fact she was still crying from pain and the experience itself. She didn't want to be near the water, away from the water!
....away...
....the water...
....away from the water...
And the two vanished in an explosion of pinkish powder, the water rippled in the absence of Veive's power and then was still, the only evidence of their existence moments before the light pink dust settling like a film on the water.
[hope you don't mind, Ayame's come into one of her powers, escape. Also, the new destination can be anywhere you want, be it inside the cave, or some unknown but safe place or Ayame's bedroom even. I'll leave that up to you, basically escape is a light based ability revolving around a confusing teleportation of her and any other touching her if she chooses so. I'll leave it to you love! =D hope you like where my mind's going with this, tell me if not and i'll mild things out a tad ^-^]
