Mallor nodded to Matt and hugged him again with graditude for saving her then turned around to watch the castle's staff of maids decorate the room for her party. There were streamers, ribbons, and lace covering the walls, chairs and tables.

Mallor sits on the floor, playing with the hem of her long, ivory gown. Her gaze rested on the floor until she dozed off. Only moments later did Madison enter the room.
A smirk danced across Madison's lips as she scooped up her daughter's body and carried her to the couch. Madison placed a kiss upon Mallor's forehead and began the ritual by laying out the sacred items.
Minutes of chanting and the fatal sacrifice of a crow, the floor lit up around the couch with purple tinted flames and a pale white smoke spilled from the sleeping child's lips. As Mallor's soul was leaving her body, a different spirit was being summoned to replace it, though, instead of the origionally planned demonic ora. Madison sent part of her own spirit into Mallor's body.
The complete cerimony took only a few minutes, and when it was over, Madison fell unconscious to the floor and Mallor slept on the couch as if nothing had happened.

Mallor woke up to see her mother laying on the floor. She quickly hurried to Madison's side and shook her, but the Queen did not move. The child shook harder, but still nothing. When Madison transfered part of her being into Mallor, it took so much out of her that she couldn't awaken. Mallor wanted to cry, but couldn't seem to bring tears to her own eyes.

Mallor continued on her way to her room, not really caring that her blood-soaked gown was leaving a trail as she passed along. She just kept walking and running her blood covered hands along the walls. Her eyes had shifted from brown to deep crimson.
