I would gladly like to help with a/the newsletter design ^_^...I'm trying to find microsoft front page for windows 95 at the moment. The basis for all my websites are done there and then I just delete/add code where needed lol but I love that program xd Just let me know thought ok?^_^

Thanks for the offer! At this stage, the newletter will probably be in a simple text format, appropriate for sending by PM and email, but I would really appreciate your help with sending out the first lot of PMs to all the members, since the guild is starting to get very big xd Hang tight for the moment, I'm going to try and talk to SilverVixen a bit about this and hopefully get the newsletter going soon, so we can get as many people involved in creating the guild website as possible 3nodding

I just joined this guild..but i'm usually -very- active on gaia because i'm usually on my computer for some reason or not sweatdrop
A PM list is a good idea, but don't you think it's a bit trouble-some?

Alright. Is the plan still to send PMs to all the members in the guild, asking if they want to be on the newsletter list? Then we can send out a bunch of them through the mailing list, and if some people want to get them in their PMs, that would be fine too. We could also have a specific link on the website leading to the newsletter, so in case someone misses it or deletes it, they can look at it later.

As a recap, here's the possible note we could send out to everyone via PM. Any suggestions or anything?

As a member of the Gaian Graphic Designers Guild, we would like to invite you to join the mailing list for the guild, so you will know what's going on! We know that you're busy, so we have decided that we will keep everyone updated, and hopefully more people will come and be involved in the guild and on the forum.

1. You can choose to not be on any of the mailing lists, and that will be just fine. No worries.
2. We will have a PM list so that you can get your updates in your Gaia inbox, if you'd like.

One last idea. Make a character to take char of all of ur mailing so it can freind all. because you don't wana make it to mess so make a Gaia(animation guild) or what ever as char then have all people wanting to be pmed freind the thing so all you gotta do is put ur mail letter and for who to mail it to just put freinds@gaia.

That does sound like a good idea.... but do we need to do that if we're going to have the mailing list too? I guess if enough people would rather get the newsletter in their gaia inbox, that would be worth setting up that account.

I just thought of a problem.... can ANYONE access the member list?! I can't! I can only see the first page of them, and it won't let me get to the other pages. Hizzahn said he's having the same problem. That would definly prevent us from being able to send people PMs. sweatdrop

yeah it seems that only the first page of the memberlist is working stressed its because whoever was doing the guilds put the wrong link for the rest of the pages.

I posted in the bugs forum, and they gave me this link that will take you to the memberlist pages! Yay! Here is the one for page 2, and just replace the 2 at the end with a 3 or a 4 to go to the other pages. biggrin

That means that now we can start sending those PMs. I think if we all agree on what the note will say, we could each take a page if there are four of us, etc (Chisa and I so far.... who else wanted to help with the sending of letters?). It will probably take about the same amount of time, but it might save time later if we ever end up sending out a mass of PMs later? We could use Mr_Treasurer, or make a new mule to keep them separate.

Which way would be faster in the end? I've never sent out PMs en masse before

you should just create a new one to keep it separate from the_treasurer's list

I'd like to be on the list as well, I don't want to miss another contest sweatdrop

But I'd rather be on the PM list, have you tried PMing several people at once? I think all you have to do is put commas in between names. Don't know how many names is the limit though.
