"Oh my word."
Quickly raising himself from his chair, Baxter went over to John, whom was surprisingly calm for as injured as he was.
"Quickly now, come with me and we'll get you fixed up."

*Finally makes it back to the wardroom, slowly*
Finally made it back....
*takes another deep breath, then takes a chair and sits down*
Now for the business at hand, once the Captain comes

Having resumed his place in the wardroom, he was awaiting the Captain and the rest of the officers when Mr. John came gimping in, without the aid of Miss Kale.
"I thought I told you to wait in the surgery room for Miss Kale to come assist you. For the love of all that's holy, if you've torn your stitchings or reopened that nicked artery, it will cause serious problems."
Shoving his chair back, Baxter stood up angrily, "Does nobody on this blasted boat follow orders anymore. Surely there is to be some modicum of decorum and chain of command to keep things running smoothly. Yet, as of recent everybody thinks there way is best and that somebody else couldn't possibly have a good idea as to what they were doing. Nay, I have no idea what I'm talking about as I've only trained in the BEST schools in London as to medical procedure and am constantly reading and trying new techniques and operations. It's fine though, surely you know best..."
Baxter's rant continued as he quite angrily stormed from the wardroom; now he went to find Miss Kale, and he would have to try to regain his composure before finding her. It would not do to look like a raving lunatic to somebody who was not even involved in the current situation.

Once more, Baxter entered the wardroom, now having regained his composure, he walked with his usual swagger back to his chair. He observed that in his anger, he had knocked it over when he shoved it back. He calmly picked his chair back up and placed it at the table, where he retook his seat.
"Now, where were we. I see the Captain has yet to return, so I'm guessing we are still right where we were when I left. It's nice to know that the interruptions I've suffered haven't delayed our proceedings at all."

The only thing that concerns me at the moment Doctor, is the next time my tongue feels the warming embrace of rum. I know as much to not drink rum in my current condition, but as you have seen Mr. Baxtor, Im not much for patience wink

*Jaden hurried down the hatchway and down to the hallway she had followed the Doctor to just a little earlier. She turned the same way he had only an hour or so before and went down to the Wardroom door. She knocked on the door and waited for a response.
~*~ In the past, she may have just opened the door and checked in with the Doctor to tell him she was waiting outside the door for John. In light of the recent events with Aeoess being clad in irons for insubordination, she thought it wise to have someone grant her permission to enter first lest she suffer the same fate.
~*~ She smoothed her hair, rolled down her sleeves, and straightened up her corset and other clothing before knocking on the door once more, a bit more sharply than the first time, before standing back from the door and awaiting an answer, either be it that the door opened or a voice beckoned her to enter.*

"No, but there is something to be said for your stupidity. At the rate your going, your insubordinate behavior will get you severely reprimanded, or in the case of neglecting to follow my instruction, it will see you dead."
At the sound of a knock on the door, Dr. Baxter stood up and crossed the room. As he opened the door he found Miss Kale. "What is it that you need?"

*Obviously the conversation in the wardroom was considerably tense at that moment, at least for the once side, for his words still carried a tone of irritability as the Doctor opened the door to the wardroom and addressed her. His voice, sounding sharp as it did earlier when he called to her above deck, caused her to clam up once more. Quickly remembering what her orders were, she straightened before him, her left hand cradling her right behind her back, and tried to be as "propper" as possible. Unfortuneately, an odd waver in her voice was evident as she attempted to address him.*
"Doctor," she said carefully, "You said you wanted me to escort John to a bunk when the meeting in the wardroom is finished, so I was just letting you know..." she felt incredibly awkward that she was informing him of the same order he had belayed her. "That I was here outside the door, awaiting to escort him to a soft bunk when he is ready to leave the wardroom," she said meekly before slightly going red in the cheeks from her embarassment for surely disturbing a discussion of some sort.
*She wasn't sure if she had interrupted something by knocking on the door or if it was carryover from their conversation, but whatever the reason, she didn't want the Doctor angry with her for any reason if she could help it... and feeding his anger with a sarcastic remark or a jovial one at this rate as to why she was there, could possibly result in trouble for her if she didn't simply hold her tongue.*

Attitude will get us nowhere Doctor, the Captain did order me under your care, I will allow Miss Kale to escort me.
*After that being said, John continued to wait for the Captain*

(Continued from Let's make the lady dance)
*Eittik (Remember, he is Aeoess' small black cat.) found a way to open the door and let himself in. He found chair to sit on patiently while he waited for the Captain.
If that foolish girl's fate was to be decided he would have a say in it.*

Addressing Miss Kale, Baxter replied, "That will be fine, thank you."
He then turned to John and started to walk back towards the table. "I'm irritated because you will not follow my instruction."
Seeing the cat on the chair, Reginald knew full well what it was and whom it belonged to. "This is no place for mongrel animals, especially ones that are capable of eavesdropping." As Baxter said this he grabbed the fleabag by the scruff of the neck.
"If you'll excuse me gentleman, I have some trash to take out." Baxter said this with an odd feeling of pleasure as he left the wardroom with cat in hand fighting him the entire way, He easily put the scratching and biting of the animal out of his mind and merely tightened his grip as he proceeded above.

Yet again, Dr. Baxter entered the wardroom, nodding at Miss Kale as he walked by her. He retook his seat.
"Let us hope the Captain arrives soon so that we may attend to matters at hand."

Syn watched the Doctor 'escort' the cat out of the room and she cackled, that gray eye of hers gleaming with an almost sadistic pleasure. She had stopped singing by now, which was probably a good thing since her husky voice wasn't the best suited for such hobbies. She was much better suited to her fiddle. Now she kept an eye on John in case he would start bleeding again, although her interest was spawned more from an eagerness to see if he would slip in it than concern.
Tuslo's claws dug deeper into Syn's shoulder as he stared at the good Doctor, not at all pleased with his treatment of animals. Why, if a cat could get thrown overboard who wasn't to say a parrot could get stuffed into a bag and treated the same? Thank goodness he was better at hiding his eerie intelligence better than the cat. He huddled down with his head near her ear, making odd squawking noises to her.
Syn chuckled and scratched the back of his neck, clicking her tongue at him in unusual rhythms and patterns, the sounds apparently reassuring the parrot because Tuslo stopped squawking and just huddled on her shoulder with a suspicious gaze kept on the Doctor.
