*As the door opened, Kurisutofa & Dr. Morgan gentley entered through the door. Working their way over the to chart table, Kurisutofa eased Morgan into a high backed chair.*

"There you are, Morgan... rest at ease."

*Looking about the room, Jack nearly missed Dr. Baxter, seeing as how he seemed to loom in dark shadows... kind of like Mr. Ilor, but minus the vampyric qualities. Pacing to the stern windows, he gazed at the wake that laid behind. Continuing as if he'd not paused...*

"Now we'll await the rest of my Officers, and then I shall lay before you all what I have in mind as far as Gibraltor is concerned. Doctor, would you care to take a seat? I should be delighted to hear what you think of my scheme once all is said and done."

*Placing his hands in a tight grip upon one another behind his back, he peered at the water below and wondered at their speed. 5 knots at most in these light airs.*

Dr. Morgan coughed wearily. He hadn't slept well in weeks and the adventure of the past hour had drained him of all his strength. He looked blearily about the table before collapsing against the back of the chair, snoring obnoxiously.

Reginald stepped forward from the corner he was leaning in. He then proceeded across the room and took a seat at the far end of the table.

"If it's my opinion you want, then it's my opinion you shall have."

*Chuckling heartily, Jack smirked. Trying to purse his lips so as to stiffle the laughter, Kurisutofa took a seat at the head of the table.*

"Well, I am glad of it, Reginald. You're attitude of late has made me so very low. You've been as silent as the grave since we disembarked from Toulon. Pray tell what may be the matter? My Officers should be a minute, so do feel free to speak plainly. All is confidential here."

Although caught offgaurd by the question, Reginald quickly replied to it so as not to draw unneeded concern from the Captain and crewmates.

"I've just been debating things in my mind and thinking of what I might do next. Whether I should stay here, or move on. I never have stayed in one place very long, and I'm still unsure as to whether I like the stability of it all, if that's even the word for having a home aboard a pirate ship."

Baxter thought about that last bit to himself and chuckled. 'Of all the places to find comfort and security, it would be aboard a ship of wanted criminals. How bizarre life is at times.'

*Considering Reginald's words, Jack sat back and scratched his chin.*

"Where as I agree with you that every so often, one plots on whether or not to move from one place to the next: so very like the common old world Druid, that the idea begins to sink into one's subconsience. To stay or to go... 'tis the question, isn'tit?

You know Reg... I doubt you'll mind if I call you by such... I used to be very much like you in days long since past. I would roam the world in search of nothing but my own solitude. Following the tradewinds, I have now travelled all about this wide, exciting world... but in the end you come to realize: it's always the same no matter where you go.

Do you want to know what brought me to my current place? My Floating Wooden World?"

*At this point, Jack leaned across the table and helped himself to a glass of something resembling a dark burgandey from the decanter that sat at the middle of the long table. Sitting back, Jack swirled teh liquid about in the glass. His gaze was drawn to it, as if hypnotized.*

"The People, Dr. Baxter. It's not your physical surroundings that define when and where you want to make your claim, your place in life... it's the people within your realm or existance. For example... I love my crew like I'd love my own children. I realize that the crew of this ship rotates every time we make landfall, but the individuals that make my life worth living are the one's who come back. For instance, Miss Midnight, or 'Melaria' as the rest of you have come to know her as. She was my first crewman. SHe quickly became my 1st Officer, not by defualt, but by none other than her love for life. She is a prime example of why I don't continue to wander: How are people supposed to find a person who is constantly on the move?

I suppose what I'm trying to say, my dear is that... in the long way of it, you'll always have a place to retunr too. So, go if you must... but know that your dunnage will always be welcome within our hold. Your bunk will always be open.. whether we have another medical man aboard or no."

*Smirking, he chuckled and raised his glass*

"To Life & To The People Who Make It Worth While."

"Oh, hell and death... what now? Please excuse me for a moment Doctor. I'll be back presently."

*Hearing quite the ruckus going about on deck, Jack slammed down his glass. His burgandey spilling as it sloshed side to side, Jack tossed a nakpin on it and stood. Taking his hat in hand, he tapped it onto his head and stormed up the hatch-ladder and out onto the Quarterdeck.*

Startled awake by the Captain's slamming down of the glass, Dr. Morgan looked about frantically with a throwing knife already in his hand. The pain of movement took a few seconds to catch up to him, but when it did, he sure as hell felt it. Slowly sliding the knife back into his sleeve, he turned wearily to face Dr. Baxter.

"'Ell 'en doct'r. Looks as though I've gone an' messed meself up real good this time, aye? Got anythin' tae eat aroun' 'ere? I 'aven' 'ad nothin' bu' wha' th' monkeys left o' me stash fer me fer nigh two weeks."

"I myself have little in the way of food. However, it is my understanding that the holds of the Lady were replenished whilst we were in port." Baxter paused for a moment, then continued.

"If you like, I can go ask Miss Destiny if she could fetch you something?"

Pushing the door open with an arm, Syn sauntered into the room and leaned against the wall, using her arms to cushion her head beside the wall. Awaiting the arrival of the other officers, she started to click her tongue, Tuslo perched on her shoulder and clicked his own tongue back at her. Syn snickered and settled herself, looking back to the door, humming that eerie tune again.

"We'll sing him down with a long, long roll
Where the sharks'll have his body
and the devil will have his soul...."
