I KNEW Maaya Sakamoto will be going to AX. I KNEW it already.
BUT I did NOT know that Seki Tomokazu will be going to AX TOO!

What are the comic elitists in the AMC?

A bunch of people that know a crapload about comics. You should visit the "Goku CANNOT beat Superman" thread sometime. They have a guild called "the League of Extraordinary Comic Book Fans," and I think that this guild might have been intended as a kind of sister guild to that one or something.

I hit my first anime con in March

I could only go for one day, instead of the entire 3 days =P

Anyways it was prety cool. I ended up spending 110$ on 3 anime related T-shirts and a couple of Naruto accesorries.
FUNimation had a few of their voice actors while they gave us previews of Burst Angel.
The Cosplayers were great

1. That thread no longer exists to the best of my knowledge.
2. There is no relation between the two guilds. I'm a founding crew member of the LXCBF and came up with the name. It's also a really shitty guild, or at least it is now.

I've technically never been to a con, but I have been to JAFAX, which is technically an expo. JAFAX is awesome, except for their guest list, and bad attitude about trying new things -_-. The best thing about it is it is free to get in. I have some good memories from it, such as my cousins, Chloie, and myself taking a footrest on wheels and sliding down the halls of our hotel on it XDDD.

I never came here..

Erm, Maaya Sakamoto is the Japanese voice actor for the character Lunamaria in Gundam Seed Destiny as well as singing the Ending Theme to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle the anime.

Seki Tomokazu is one of my favorite Japanese Voice actors doing various roles such as Hidaka Ken from Weiss Kreuz, Touya from Card Captor Sakura, Kyo from Fruits Basket, various characters from Evangelion, Yzak Jule from Gundam Seed, a character from Mai Hime, and Takahashi Keisuke from Initial D First stage to Third Stage.

He went to AX and was asked about his role for voicing Shindou Shuichi from Gravitation.

He did Van from Vision of Escaflowne too which made me uber-happy.

I went to Sakura Con for the last two years (a bit too lazy to travel any farther, that and the expenses...) but I enjoyed both times. I'm going to pre-register this year, but haven't quite yet. Last year I cosplayed as Kagura (FB) and Kagura (Inuyasha). Not many stories that are interesting enough to post, but I did get a few pics at the con. (It's kind of strange finding pictures of yourself on the internet though [ones you didn't take] eek )
