After you click the link, just check your inventory. If you missed an event , it will show up in your inventory.

My mule got a blue gb, but on this account nada! And yes the trunks do also have home items in them. I got a few just before they changed the site, and they all had house stuff in them. Maybe it was a glich that only I experienced! lol. Just wall tile for me! And now I probably won't get any rare events for a while! Oh, well I will be sure to keep checking! 3nodding Thanks for making this stickie btw!
