Jazz smiled back at her and was glad that she had run into him this morning. "Well first, I am the son of Dyami and Settia and have two other siblings, my sister Tori and my brother Fenrir." the red stallion began. "And whatelse would you like to know? Anything in particular?" he asked, not really knowing what all to tell her.

She blinked at him, completely dumb-struck that he actually knew his family. She didn't know where any of hers were and it was a constant thing on her mind, though creating her own family would probably have her worry less later on in life. She realized her mouth was hanging open, and quickly shut it, but her icy blues were still sparkling in wonder. "You actually know your family? What is it like? Wow. To think that there are some who know they mother, father, and other siblings..."

He chuckled at the amazed look he was getting from her. To him knowing his family was a normal thing and wondered if that maybe she didn't really know hers. "Yes, I do know my family. My parents are very close and so it's helped to keep me and my sister in contact since we each live with a parent." he replied and noted the spark of curiosity in her eyes. "This seems to be a very interesting topic for you. Do you not know your family?"

Ever could not believe that she had finally met someone who actually has a family. Who actually knows his parents, siblings... She shook her head a bit, her pale forelock covering the star finally, to clear her mind from the intial shock that it was possible for Soquilis to know their family. She smiled, though there was a note of sadness in her tone. "No. I have never known my family. There may be a few memories of them from when I was younger, but I hardly remember them now. I grew up alone as a foal very far away from here."

Jazz looked a bit shocked at what Ever had told him. He couldn't understand how someone could never know thier parents. He found that this was a very common thing among his kind but still couldn't get over the fact. "I'm sorry, I find it hard to accept that there are many that do not know thier families. I have known mine since I was very little. Like I said, my parents are very close and so we have grown and learned to have a close family. Though I have not seen my brother in ages. He is the only one that does not talk with the family much."

She looked at him, raising a brow slighty with a puzzled look. "Well, it looks like it's your turn to be shocked. Yes, I did grow up never knowing my family. You are the first I have run into that actually does know his relatives. It must be very filling of the heart to know there are thoses that care about you."

The red stallion nodded. "Yes, it is a nice feeling knowing you have family that cares for you. But don't you have an Indian caretaker or a two-legger that looks after you? They would sort of be your family and they care for you. And I do hope you have at least a few friends you can count on." he hoped that the mare wasn't completely alone. It would break his heart to hear that such a pretty and caring mare was all alone with no one in the world.

She chuckled to herself, remembering the time she found her two-legger. "Well, I wouldn't say she takes care of me. It is I who take care of her. I found her all alone by the side of the river close to where her home is now. She had been crying and the only thing I understood was my name. I protect her," she said, puffing her chest out a bit in mock strength before giggling. "And I am not the only Soquili with her. There are two others and they have their own two-leggers. So it makes for a very crowded place at times, but I have not seen all of us there at one time."

She sighed, looking on ahead and trying to keep a smile on her face. She knew a handful of Soquili, but voted few of them as friends. "I have not seen much of them lately. We rarely run into one another at the teepee and it's been a few weeks since I've seen my friend Tawali. But I make due by doing what I did in the plateaus outside of here. Running."

She smiled brightly to him, laughing with a quick shake of her head. Bits of her dark fur were drying out, showing the brighter tone that is really was. Her mane still clung to her neck in spots as she shook her head a bit. "So is it safe that not only do you have family, but you have a two-legger as well?"

He nodded and shook out his own mane and tail. He would have to have Skye brush him out well so that his mane and tail would knot really bad. His fur was drying out as well, the gold markings in his fur showing more brightly. "Well, I share a two legger with my mom. Her name is Skye and my mother found her pretty much the same way you found your's. She too lives by the river and also has no family but my mother and I." he said and smiled now that he knew his new friend wasn't totally alone. "I am glad to here that you are not completely alone. That would be so very sad and lonely. I could not imagine myself being alone and I am thankful every day for my friends and family. Though as of lately I have been feeling a little bit lonely." the red stallion sighed and looked up at the sky. He did have his family for support and so shouldn't be feeling lonely.

(( Happy Birthday Sky!! ))

She smiled at him, flicking her tail idly. "No, I am not totally alone. There are those quiet moments that make me wonder what the Gods have instore for me, but then there are the times when I just want to get out of what you are doing and have some peace." She raised a brow to his final trailing on how he had been lonely as of late. "Now why would you ever feel like you are alone. Those times to yourself are very dear since that is when the Gods try to speak with you the most. I always try to listen to the wind to catch any wisdom the spirits have for me. So far, I've learned that the spirits here speak a different language." She giggled to herself with the last bit. In truth, she had lost some connection with the spirits since her main focus was to learn about the lands and make friends.

((Thanks!! ^_^))

He shurgged his shoulders and didn't realy know why he felt lonely. "I am not really sure as to why I feel lonely. Maybe it has something to do with the Gods and what they have instore for me. I cannot say. I do cheerish my time alone most times. A while ago I up and left my family and friends to wonder off alone through the land just to wonder. My sister and others have said that I grew up in the time I was gone. I like to think it was the result of the Gods and spirits guiding me." he said reflecting back on his wonderings.

She stepped closer to him and gently nudged her shoulder against his in a friendly manner, making sure not to push to hard and having him flop back in the water near them. "I understand that. I truly do. It still does not explain why you are so lonely, but I'm sure it will be revealed to you soon," she offered a bright smile to him, her icy blue eyes sparkling with laughter before she stepped back where she had been walking before.

He smiled down at her and gave a slight blush, although it was difficult to see with his already red fur. "I hope that I learn the reason for it soon. But I am sure it is all up to the Gods and what they have instore for me. It is good though that I have someone like you to talk to about it. Atleast you seem to understand it a little bit." he said and gave her another bright smile. "Maybe there was even a reason for you running into me today. Your very nice and I have enjoyed our conversation greatly so far. It has been quite sometime since I have had such a conversation with anyone."

Ever nodded her head, her mane becoming unstuck in spots and locking together. The sun glistened on the pale yellow of her mane and tail, showing a natural shine to them as well as the darker shades of red chestnut where the shadows lay. "There is always a reason to the questionable ways the Gods toss us. We just have to either listen or wait and see."

She looked over at him again with a smile, her eyes close in a cheesy, toothless grin. She wasn't always this deep minded, but could be when those around her were question with what life had for them. "Normally, I'm much more hyper and playful than I am now. A mare has got to have a hoof in every side of her personality."

Jazz let his own cheesy grin show through. The gold in his mane and coat was shinning brighter now that he was mostly dry, while the rest of him was either bright red or a darker shade depending on how dry his fur was. "I have to admit that I am alot more energetic as well. But it is good to be serious every once in a while. It is good to also have a sense of humor and to be playful so that you are not too serious all of the time." he said still grinning. "I just ment with my comment that it has been a while since I met a mare that had a serious side to her."
