Even if homosexuality is a sin, it gives no one any right to hate them. You are to love your brothers and sisters, regardless of their beliefs and ways. And plus, is it not said that we are not to judge? Telling someone they are hated or that they are disgusting because of their sexual preferance does fall under that category, correct? I know that seems irrelevant, but it really isn't. Think about it.

I have nothing against other people in any way based on beliefs or anything of the sort.

As for homophobia, it's just outright unnecessary. I won't even begin to explain how absurd it truly is, for fear I might lose my head and do something far too unchristian-like. There's just no need for it at all. Homophobia, in my opinion, is not the fear it translates to, it is more of a hatred and nothing else. I've never met someone who was truly afraid of homosexuals. I've only met people who hate them.
Wow, you're the first person I've seen in this guild that actually understands what 'homophobia' really is. I agree with you.

Thank you. A lot of my friends in the past have been homosexual or bi. From hanging out with them and hanging out with those who shun it, this is the conclusion I reached and believed.

Well said.

Hating/condemning someone? Wrong. God commands that we love everyone.

Homosexuality? Also wrong. But that's the sin itself--not the person.

I was actually watching a news coverage of a homosexuality protest (note: homosexuality, not homosexual), which I thought was awesome, because instead of being pro-homosexuality or totally 'kill all gays', they were right where they should be, which takes a whole lot of courage. The woman leading it said, "I'm not homophobic--I'm Hellophobic." Lovelovelove the quote. It's just a matter of being frank about what the Bible says, because there is just NO WAY to make it politically correct. whee heart

It's our job as christians to show the love of christ to everyone. If we don't even show God's love to gay people, how the heck are we supposed to expect God to do the same for us and our sins? It's hypocritical. So I suppose in a way, because those people so blatantly reject them it's the whole "his blood will be on your head" thing. (wish I could remember where that was found. stare )

homosexuality is a sin. but God forgives sins if u ask forgivness.

some people are really gay by birth. just as some people simply have it in their system to steal or lie.

God sees sin as sin. and by us freaking out when someone's gay and doing nothing when someone says they dont have a dollar we can borrow when they do, is wrong.

sin is sin.

love thy neighbor.

God has said it to be wrong, he has also said that judging others & being the keeper of your brothers to be wrong. So if you trust in God then it is up to you to be straight or not, it is not within anyones right to look down apon or attack anyone who isn't. The Bible commands you to look apon your own relationship with God, the homosexual's relationship with God or anyone else is none of our concern.

You are not the keepers of your brothers, that means you don't impose your control on someone elses life or sins. Open your door to them, but you are never to push them inside.

-^_______^- Looooooooooooovellllyyyy use of language...I agree.

And...Rave-san. ^^ Awesome example--I agree that all sin is equal in God's eyes. HOWEVER. I read somewhere that there's this sin that God doesn't forgive. It was something like...cursing the Holy Spirit or something...but not that. I don't remember...I'll look it up, though...[/tangent] -^^- Anywho. I entirely disagree with your 'gay/lying/stealing gene' theory, and I would like to know what makes you think that.

hatred, or wrath, is a sin, and therefore the hatred of homosexuals is a sin, Jesus loved all, so why can't we?

homophobia=homophobic
Definition of a homophobic- A person who fears or hates homosexuals

Homophobia is a sin because it is just another form of judging. And judgeing is a sin.

If you are homosexual, you are allowed to have a partner on one condition. AS LONG AS YOU ARE NOT HAVING SEX!!!! That is the only thing you are not allowed to with you partner. You are not allowed to have any form of sex. Just kiss. God made us desire a companion so it is alright.

Now remember this all judgemental people:

Don't jude other people, it is not your place. It is Gods. And if you judge, on the day God judeges you, you will remember all whom you have judged.

And why homosexuality is wrong:

God made Eve for Adam. Not Adam for Adam or Eve for Eve. Together Adam and Eve could become one through marrige. And through marrige, they could reproduce more children of God.

Eve and Eve can't reproduce. Which is why Adam and Adam can't be married. Which is why they can't have sex. Because it is pre-marital sex. It is not the way God intended.

Another reason homophobia is a sin is because Jesus clearly states:

"Love one another as I love you"

There are alot of people who choose to be gay, which is a sin. But what about those people who truly are. It is a proven fact that there is a wire in the brain that can cause you to be atracted to the same sex.

As for these people God has a purpose, as he does for everyone. Maybe he wants a lesbian girl to help other homosexuals who are having trouble dealing with who they are, possibly because their lack of acceptance?

Or maybe he wants the to live out their life like any other straight person, and their atraction to the same sex is a test to make them stronger or prove their faith to god.

Who knows the reason? It is the all merciful Yah-weh! biggrin He works in mysterious ways wink ....

mesh-the-lonely
homophobia was abundant in the old testament...and it was strong...we are meant to be fertile with our partners...but did jesus die for us to be hateful to our gay/les neighors? i personaly think not...homosexuality is not a form of fertility...i admit but is it still a sin? and what is with all the hate directed towards gays? i once read a sign that read "god hates fags."...im sure someone out there is reading this thinking "tee hee hee...me too..." but when i read all i could think of was how blasphemous this thought was...im ranting...please share your oppinions.

by the way...im not gay...
I know I wrote alot, but I just wanted to cover all the corners of homosexuality. So please read all of it....

If you ask me, I think it's terrible to say someone is going to hell for their sexuality. Thats like saying you have to go to hell for being yourself.

I don't think god or jesus Hated people for being themselves.
