Edouard had quietly observed as they had entered the city complexes. Edouard had ever been here before but he knew it would be his new base of operations Kali needed him to guide her in the favour of anima.
He glared at the council that opposed kali as she entered and the disgruntled lookn they gave when her identity was confirmed.
Watching a pair of councillers leave he looked back at them seeing them speak on a security console. He was dubious of their actions but as long as he was here there would be no problems he was certain he could best any one of these bureaucrats.
It pleased Edouard the authority that kali showed for one so young. If he did not know better he could swear that she was destined to be one of the terrors such as himself. perhaps even the grand terror emissary of anima.
While he was thinking this another counciller entered.
"I am Bablus Duraman and I shall be your advisor lady kali as I was to your father."
The councillor sat in the chair beside kali and started to speak.
Edouard was unimpressed by this man and yet he also wondered why knowone had questioned his own identity. he thought for a second. There is no chance they would not after this.
standing behind the advisor he span his hand around and then lifted his palm a large spike came out in a gleaming blood red colour and then before anyone could react edouard moved this spike behind the advisor and thrust it through the back of his neck and it penetrated all the way through and out the front severing his spineal columb aswell as his throat blood spattered on the table and a little flew onto kalis cheek. The blood that stayed on the spike was absorbed just as the spike was absorbed back into edouards own palm.
"I am Edouard a servant of Anima your new patron. I shall advise kali not your foolish lapdog."
One of the councillers pressed a button on his console and 2 laser batteries dropped from the ceiling aiming and firing at the spot where edouard stood. Somersaulting Edouard swung round and threw two small energy balls at the two lasers destroying them.
"Your toys are inefficiant"

kali got up and pulled a handkerchief from the now dead advisor’s pocket. she wiped the blood from her cheek and then looked up to Edouard. she firmly slapped him around the face with a long stretch.
"you are my adviser Edouard, but don't kill my people."
the people in the room all looked shocked, one whispered to another.
"how is this man to be given this position so soon, i didn’t trust him from the moment he came in."
then the woman that was in a suit stood and slammed her hands on the desk.
"i am fully happy to have the rightful leader of are city come to her place, but i am not taking orders from this man, Edouard was it? and your belief in anima is not something you bring to are counsel."
Edouard was most likely angry at this woman and she was brave to stand up to him after this murder so easily done by Edouard.
"i see. errr what was you name?"
kali said in her emotionless voice and walking to the woman.
"i am Natasher Scalert, head of public relations"
"good, your brave and have ideals, i need this in future plans to help re-establish the city. Edouard will be my advisor and have excess to all my projects but he will have no control here, he will go through me be ashored."
she looked some what pleased but not overly happy about all this. she got up and gave a nod and a thank you before leaving through the door. the other two men stayed sitting next to each other. kali sat back down next to the dead body and lent her chin on her hands that interlined.
"advisor, If my people fear or hate me as a leader they will not follow fully. Remember this next time you feel the need to kill one of them, even if they seem useless."
the two men still looked shocked and a bit worried.

Edouard looked back and was not fond of the way kali spoke to him.
"Remember Kali who is your link to her and that I am not someone of your country you can just boss around. I shall see you this evening in your council session."
Edouard walked out following the two male councillors as they exited and stepped into the lift down the hall. Edouard walked upto the door just after closing and slipped between the shadows among the frame of the door reappearing on the other side dropping to the roof of the lift as it began descending. He listened carefully through the roof panes as the two spoke.
"Who does that Edouard think he is"
"Yeah I cant beleive he killed bablus, what a jackass"
"Who Edouard or Bablus?"
"both"
As the two men laughed Edouard opened the hatch on the roof of the lift peering in.
"What was that boys?"
The men quickly slammed the hands against the stop button opening the doors at the floor they were at quickly running away.
Edouard smiled as the doors once again closed/

back in the board room a man was finishing up cleaning the body from the desk, some blood still stained the carpet. kali disliked the way Edouard was so important to her.
"but that man is right, with out him i can't get help from anima to win my new war."
the cleaner walked out with his headphones on loud so he couldn’t hear. the doors swung closed and kali layed her hand on a large window that was the back wall of the room. a glyph formed and from the glass chains flowed out.
"whiteheart, scatter you chains over the city, i must know what is going on in my new land."
the red eye of whiteheart formed with a sad look upon it. then it split into many smaller eyes and they slivered off into the vents and cracks in the room. Kali’s body was still getting used to this new power and her tattoos still changed to chains on her wrist and neck.
"soon i will start stage one"

hordes of people gathered in the upper levels of the city even though they didn't live there. an announcement was about to take place from the balcony of the glass tower, which was the main building of the city. spectators where all over the streets and people questioned about what was going on.
"no President for so long and now new orders start coming in."
"yes, from who? not that I'm putting it down, i mean its so much better now, like the President was back."
people chatted in the crowds below, no factories where working and no mines was being dug, only this gathering. the speakers made a loud buzz that echoed through the streets as it forced a silence in the people. then on the glass building a projection came up with a close up of the balcony, there kali walked up and said
"hello my people, I'm the new President Kali Aceldama, daughter of the last President Cornelius Aceldama and so his predecessor."
the people chatted amongst one another.
"do not worry, i have been organizing the city in the past weeks and seeing to all that was wrong. i hope everyone has found the city to be running to your standards. i will strive to keep my work up and prove to you that i am as capable if not more so then my father, he was a great man and i am here to tell you how he passed away. i saw his body and the security cameras of the day he died. it was a declaration of war by Arvardia......."
the crowd was hanging on kali's every word, a deep silence struck them as she spoke.
"the assailant bared Arvardia's colors and his weapon their insignia. now i will have a week of mourning over the loss of my father, as i help the city to claim back its glory and then there will be a grand debate of what we should do. i know you all have hate in your hearts for the death of the former President..."
the people looked on with respect in there eyes at there new leader and waited for her next words.
"and even though a great injustice has been done to me and you, i will speak to the queen and get her to pay for this and if she does not respect my people and my land i will make her for you and for us as a people..."
the spectators cheered as she spoke but she wasn't done.
"but for now, i will try my best to not only keep to my fathers standards but I'll bring the people of the slums better equipment and better facility's to work with and bring my people closer together."
the people cheered the girl from the balcony as she waved and walked with each other hand in hand. kali had put on a grand show, but as she walked into her new home she grinned... her emotionless grin grew on her pale face.

Edouard stood looking at kali. he had returned from a brief trip shortly before and been let in without question others had heard of his previous actions toward the councillor.
"Bravo my young empress that is a good start get the masses on our side. Although the desecration of your country patron may have been a worthy addition. Is it not ironic that the patron we now utilise is the oposition of arvadias patron. We are the shadow that shall consume their light."
Edouard then thought it was now the time.
"I have spent the last few weeks communing with anima and her other guardians and have good news we have access to a number of lesser manipulators who can create a number of fiends using animas essence. In a similar way to your summoning. They have sided with us and are on their way here now I have organised for them to make camp in a section of the slums."

kali pulled a small book from her belt and write into it. she nodded and said.
"that sounds good, but make sure they don't get out of hand, if my people start to waver now they we will never go to war, they will protest."
she walked in to an elevator with Edouard and kept writing in her book.
"soon i must journey to the castle to confront the queen and something must happen to make my people hate the queen, to this end, do you have any idea’s?"
kali looked blankly up at him with a sturdy look.

Edouatrd pondered for a moment how could they do this without edouard jeopardising himself. He couldnt contact another agent and to the best of his knowledge metatrus was dead.
"We need something without physichal contact to you that will have a similar attacking effect. Hmmm but what.... I've got it poison . At every formal meeting a banquet is held if we fake your poisoning using some of animas powers to decrease your heart rate and put you into a feverish state we could make it seem that they had poisoned you. Although we should be careful. I wouldnt put it past them trying it anyway they have already killed your father and made an attempt on your life."
Edouard hoped kali would accept this plan but he was not certain.
"I think we should make our way to the airship docks and board the grand airship"

kali held her hand to her chin than thought this over. she didn't think this plan good but this also seemed like a way she could easily lose her life and that could not happen, she was to needed. kali looked at Edouard and raised an eyebrow. she would be putting a lot of trust in him and she had next to none for him right now.
"i believe we play this by ear and if it comes to that we shall think it over. but as you know, they may try something themselves."
the doors pinged open and kali walked out of the lift. they now stood in a large room made up like a grand hall. it was kalis old home. it was very rich in design and pattern work.
"I'll call an airship to meet us, we can take my father's"
kali continued to walk as she spoke.

the two of them walked through the home of kali's and made there way to the highest floor of the glass tower. they made their way to a spiral staircase of metal with large bolts holding it in place. the foot steps made echoes all the way to the top.
"now the airship should be on the roof ready for us."
she said to Edouard as he followed. they came to the top and kali opened the large metal door with all her strength, the wind was sucked into the room as she did so, flapping her dress in the wind. On the roof a large platform was seen with a slender air ship with propellers all over its body.
"Ah yes, my fathers ship, the White Rose."
two men stood ready to escort them onto the ship.
"come Edouard, i must get ready to meet the queen for are surprise visit, i must look my best"
kali made a quick walk holding her dress by the sides and made her way into the ship followed by the two men.

A man walked down a narrow lane through the city, he had just arrived there but had no intention to stay in this city long. He stood out in the crowds with his white cloak and cross-bladed sword that was strapped upon his back using tightly bound roses. He strolled through the city into the open and walked along the pathway silently.

Edouard looked over at the mighty airship it looked fast yet incredibly fortified Its main guns were a sight to see. Edouard wondered upon the design but he knew they were masters of construction.
"What a grand design and fitting for my little angel of revenge, Will you be taking an escort or should i have them prepare in their dock"
Edouard walked along and upto the ramp turning and bowing.
"After you my fair empress." following Kali once more edouard spoke once more careful not to allow the other guards to hear.
"The lesser summoners are in wait abourd the Grand Illusion"

kali nodded at Edouard as she walked on.
"excellent, that will do nicely, and no escort i be fine with the crew and you."
she then stopped and spoke quietly into his ear.
"it may provoke them to try something if less of us go, but the queen is known for her friendly front."
with in a moment of walking around the metal interior of the White Rose kali and Edouard made there way to the bridge and took the two large chairs at the back of the room. a large mirror curved around the front of the ship and room.
from the outside of the ship took off from the roof wind picked up. all the propellers spun with great speed and became circles on the side of the airship. it began to push off the roof and balance out. with a turn and change of direction it was off and vanished into the dark gray clouds

rumple walked towards the huge city the gates largely decorated with machinery and stone walls with a large defence around it and the vastness of the city could be seen behind it as birds flew above buildings and the huge tower in the center. as they came close the guards eyed them carefully, intrigued by them, but let them trough they seemed to be know threat and so few a number.
rumple carefully stepped past them then walked into the city. it was a marvel of technology it seemed to move everywhere and see to many needs but it looked like that was part of there problem.the buildings in the centre and above seemed glamorous and full of al bhed pride but down here the air was dank filled with smoke and the people all looked very poverty stricken.
as rumple walked further down the streets with shamari it was strange thou they all seemed to be happy thou as of there hope had been restored thou which was strange from what she had heard.
"quite a place huh shamari, its amazing the work gone into this makina there so detailed and beautiful pity there used so much for war. from what ive heard the president here was assassinated which makes me think how odd so many people seem to be happy"

As the small party passed through the gates, Shamari couldnt help but be a little weary of the guards. Eyeing one before she slipped in she couldnt tell if they were actually afraid of the group, or merely waiting for them to pass so they could laugh. She guessed the latter simply because it was rather odd to see this pairing roaming around, much less entering a city like this together.
Once inside she looked around at all the wonders the city had. Though it was only the slums they were in, even this place seemed to be ingrossed with the Makina.
Looking over to Rumple as she spoke about this place made the Ronso wonder.
"Maybe President was not good leader."
She offered, looking up to the large tower in the middle of the city. If anything, she thought, they should get to that place and out of the slums.
