I'll get my copy at about 3:30. I'm surprised so many people have heard bad things about it. I've only heard good from the game.

Well, anytime I hear bad things about games is when my boyfriend tells me that he's been hearing bad things about whatever game I'm anxiously awaiting to be released. confused

daft alchemist Symphonaire Infernus I, too, have heard foul things about the game, but. I'll be giving it a shot. Though, to your "It's FF, it's got to be good comment", I feel the need to remind ye that X-2 was also an FF, and that blew. xD First of all, FF8 sucked a little, and FF10 and after were so bad it almost made Square as a company look suicidal. Second, the comment does fit, but it needs to be more specific. "It's FF 7, so it has to be good!" Just like anything with FF6 would be good as well. biggrin Exactly. 7 was good, Advent Children was good, thus Dirge of Cerberus will be good, and even if it isnt, it'll be Vincent and thus bearable to play. Kind of like how Firewarrior was kind of a shitty game but people still loved it because it was WH40k.

It'll probably be awesome, least I hope it will be. I'm slightly a Vinnie fangirl, but meh. If I find it, I'll try and convince my mom to rent it for me so I can try it first.

THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME!!! You have got to see the Limit Break! Vincent becomes the Galian Beast and throws these massive energy shots and, and, WAY COOL!

i work at a gamestop and its not flying off the shelves or anything and most magazines have been trashing it like mad so im a little worried. i might pick it up when the price drops but it doesnt seem like its gonna be a huge success. just a ff7 version of DMC!
and ffX and FFX-2 were kick a** games and people need to stop knockin them!!!

It might just be your Gamestop. I was one of over 200 people to reserve a copy and my location. I'm easy to please so I may not be the best person to ask, but I love this game. Weapon customization gives you a lot of options, there are challenging boss fights and all kinds of good stuff, but it's not so hard that you want to break the controller.

i dont know man. b/c pretty much all the gamestops in the area told me the same thing when i asked. it wasnt really well hyped compared to other ff games tho so it could be that! but it does look good and enjoyable so ill pick it up when the price drops prolly!

Well, whatever the reason I'd recommend at the very least renting it. It's not quite as long as I'd have liked though. I'm almost guaranteed to beat it in under a day. I'm not sure what the exact game clock time is at, but I bought it yesterday and I'm on the last level now. sweatdrop

I've heard a lot of negative things, but I'm also told that if you like final fantasy, you'll like this game. I'm getting it no matter what! It looks beautiful and the story looks deep. It's Square's first shooter, so I'm not expecting an award winning shooter. Besides I'm in it for Vincent...yes, I'm a fangirl hardcore.

I'd definitely consider this very well done. It's not going to win any awards, but I could see it being nominated. I beat it in a day but I'm already going back to beat it on harder difficuties and collect things I missed. It'll keep me busy for a while.

FF7 was awesome hands down, but now thier tagging all types of GARBAGE with the FF7 name and just capitalizing off a franchise.
The thing that scares me the most is that there is a rumor circulating on the internet that they are going to remake ff7 crying
