"What the-- ?" Shouyin's hands came up in defense as Sam flung her hair at him, getting him all damp and business. "Aww mayn, come on!" he protested as he shook his arms out, patting himself down and whatnot.
There was a noticable frown on his face as he sheathed the knife in his left and reached the outskirts of the camp.

She just laughed. "Lighten up. We're not dead yet."

"Psh, you're just lucky I didn't shoot you right off the bat or something," he said in a childish kind of tone. Although, it was rather unlikely the half-golem would've shot -anyone- without thinking, no less a woman. Shouyin's chilvalry was meager indeed, but that didn't mean it wasn't there.
Taking on a more pleasant expression he moved in the direction of the barracks.
"Almost there then."

"Uh huh..." She laughed, this whole fiasco was doing wonders for her confidence. Sam leaned up and kissed Shou's cheek. "Thanks hero." Then she was off, bound for a towel and a crowbar, to pry herself free from this wet leather.

Shouyin blushed lightly with the kiss, "It was no problem."
He grinned and followed suit, though he was just gonna find his duffel bag and a bunk before going to sleep.

[From: Stump Field] Jacob hailed the guards with a hearty arm wave, trying to be as painfully obvious with his approach as he could be. He even made his way to the main road a few hundred feet before reaching the camp.
It was dark, and he didn't want to get shot.
After that, though, he was through. Destination: barracks, for food and rest.
It had been a long, painful day. One most thoroughly unsatisfying for Jacob, and he assumed the SMC between the somber feel of the camp, and all the devastation he'd seen. On the other hand, Jacob reasoned, they didn't have many other areas to lose.
Tommorrow, he figured, was a day for revenge. [To: Barracks]

Walking was such a pain, which made these machines of metal and gasoline all the better. Rumbling through an armoured entrance in the expansive wall Quin checked his directions.
"You'll want to head south for a while and then head east. This baby should be strong enough to forge the river."
The driver just gave him a look and shook his head while grinning.

When it was time the driver headed west, moving the giant wheel of a steering mechanism. It seemed everything was big with these monsters. Well they were heading to their destinations and that's all he could ask.

From barracks ->
The APC began rolling through the outskirts of the logging camp as it transported the unit to their first objective; rescue and reinforce Hein Griever at the west bank of the Sunrise River.

A couple bumps here and there, nothing really too obnoxious.
Athan kept fairly quiet during the ride, though. The soldiers he was riding with didn't look to be too friendly.

This was going to be painful. No vehicle, and no escort this time. Now...which forest was it. No, Sam wasn't stupid, the narrator is just rambling at this point, trying to get into character. Slow and steady wins the race, right? Yeah, sure. Tell that to her aching feet tonight.

And so she plunged on. Right now, she was getting sea sick just thinking about the river, so she decided to head the other direction and see what was there. She hadn't been sure what side the light had come from anyways. Hell, she wasn't convinced it wasn't Vahn. She'd seen him in action. [Exuent---> Clear Cut]

[Warehouses] The dirtbike's little motor whined as Jacob wielded the accelerator with novice skill.
He was proficient in cars, bikes, trucks, and more... but he'd already proven exactly how far 'proficient' went. [Stumps]
