"...." Eyes softened up a bit, as he actually began picking his way through the foliage.
What probaly nerved him the most was the lack of any ambience. There... was nothing natural left here. Or maybe everything was just as dead as he was inside.
"People always fight... over land, money, power... even love. Sometimes even just for the sake of it... can you understand that?" It was odd, him questioning nothing but the air apparently.
Stopping, he clutched against a branch and looked about him.
"....Well." He knelt along the ground, eyes surveying his surroundings.
While he may not have exactly taken the same exact path, he could tell someone had been here already.
"Now where...?"

He felt the almost faint tug on hsi right wrist to the left, moreso than the right.
He had stashed mostly all of his equipment somewhere else after being dropped off, and the hard part was actually getting back there. But with the 'Hand' seperated from the Greaves and Fang, it seemed to be calling for them-- faintly if not at all.
So using that slight call, he navigated the forest and avoided going in circles or being delayed.
Pushing his way through branches and quietly making his way along, he soon caught sight of the mill itself.
"Let's see what daddy Yaits has for me."

It was tough, no doubt.
I mean if he had a hard time riding through forests on horseback, doing it on a motorcycle was equally if not more so a b***h of a task.
He risked running into trees, crashing horribly over an overgrown root, or maybe even driving into a cow... hah.. a cow.
I wanna breath you in... wanna breath you in...
He paid attention to the small compass on the bike's dash, mainly focusing on the road (or lack thereof one) ahead.
Of course like usual... his thought saw fit to never leave him alone.
'cause I need to breath...

He had remembered the pillar of white in the distance... and the resonance he had felt within his body moments before.
He continued to push it farth and farther from his mind, but the fact was that the needling suspicion continued to only grow worse as time went on.
"...."
He ducked tightly as he went under a low branch, the sound of protesting wood on rubber giving way as he went off a large bank of soil and down onto firmer ground.
He whipped his head to the side, to look behind him, swearing he had felt several.. somethings, behind him.
Of course he should have kept looking ahead.

"Brilliant."
Sakura, in her usual state of being lost, managed to wander her way in to where she was now. Such was her state of mind that she had slept through the beginnings of this grand melee and now she had no real idea of where she was going.
Putting her finger in the air, she closed her eyes and spun on her heel, then lowered her arm. "This way!" She decided, heading off towards the clearing.

"Why are you looking so glum, Steve?" Jim asked the archer. "We won! The dam is gone! It's not like we're heading to a funeral or anything!"
The archer avoided his eyes, and found himself staring at the bloody bullet hole in the air mage's head. They only had a little bit further to go before they would get their grisly burden to Radiant...
But Jim kept talking as though the body slung between them wasn't dead.
"Dammit, can't you see?!" the archer suddenly snapped, unbidden tears coming to his eyes.

"See what?" Jim asked, his eyes genuinely befuddled.
But the archer had gone too far to turn back now. "He's dead, Jim! He's DEAD! He's not going to go back to work at the mill, he's not going to wake up and play cards with us later, he's dead!"
And it was on that note that they approached the Village Gates.

Now this didn't look good. Entering into the woods a kind of darkness did seem to settle upon him, though it was still as bright as any forest at this time of day.
"Odd."
Shrugging his shoulders he leaned against a tree and looked around. All he could really tell was that he was going southwards. Taking out a map he studied it but only new the generalities of his location.
This was going to be interesting.

"Hey, somebody's coming into the forest!" a younger boy reported in a whisper to two older men crouched in hiding.
"Who's it?" the red haired man asked, peeking around carefully through the trees toward where a figure was coming in from the clearing. He drew a bow. "I don't recognize him."
"Nor do I." a man with a graying beard replied in hushed town, peeking around at the figure. Knocking an arrow, he pointed at the other two and gave whispered orders. "We're gonna make him run. You. Go tell people someone's here."
The boy started his slow creep back to the camp to spread the word, and the old man started to shift. "Now, we'll both pop out on opposite sides of the tree and fire. If only I knew where those-"
And at that moment a large, furry, armored shape would rush from the forests at the momentarily stationary Quintilius, making a charge head on.
If he allowed it to come close enough, it'd attempt to pounce on Quin and pin him to the ground. After which mauling would occur.

Well this was amusing to say the least. A beast charging him, after all the s**t he'd been through some beast of nature was going to attempt to make him a meal. Hell no.
"Wait..."
Noticing the armour as he pushed himself off the tree he looked at it for a good while, no this was no random beast. This was one of those monsters the settlers were using. The memory of a bite in his leg from a similar beast angered him.
Grinning for a moment Quin did the insane, he took a lurching step foward and then another. The beast was in the air now, leaping to take him down in a mighty pounce. But he would have none of that, weaving the winds of magic he instantly woved the bans of blue, green, and white together as was his inate ability and threw the beast back. Throwing a force equal to a large truck gunning with the pedal pressed to the floor as Quin's body temp dipped lower.

And so the great beast would be caught, and tossed by the great force as it was coming down on Quintilius, and thrown out among the trees, traveling past many before one finally caught it and the creature fell to the earth. Not to be forstalled by the blow though, it was quickly back on it's feet and circling in toward him at a quick trot.
Which was about the time the bowmen, stepping out silently from behind their trees and standing to pull their longbows back, fired at Quintilius both at once.
The gray bearded man, whistling, would move a few trees to the right to take cover and knock another arrow, while his companion the read head would move to the left and do likewise, minus the whistle.
The boy, on the other hand, passing beyond hearing, broke into a run back toward the villiage.
