Partial sense is about how much it makes to me at the moment xd You probably understand just as much as I do at the moment. It's a technique so complicated the human mind can't comprehend it, but damnit I'm trying whee

I guess really doing the trick kinda requires you to be fully aware of your entire consciousness confused Rather than just thinking randomly, you need to recognize the entire area in which you think, the ways in which it's infinite, and the ways in which it's finite. You probably never stopped to notice, but when you think of an object or a word or a number, the thought occurs in about the same "place". Within your mind there's a playground that expands forever in all directions, but pretty much every thought you have occurs in the center of the playground, since your mind has trouble seeing what's out in the other directions.

You kinda gotta play with it to figure out what I'm talking about sweatdrop But there's this finite space in which all thoughts you have occur, only the space expands in all directions forever, you just don't use the rest.

What you need to do is rather than move your energy to a physical location, (somehow) surround this conscious region in enery. As I said, it's an infinite area, so you can't entirely contain it. But surround as much of it as you can. Then you attach the energy to your consciousness and spread it outward.

Here's the weirdest part that I still have difficulty understanding... You have to somehow stretch your consciousness in a way that overlaps with the physical world confused Like... Zoom out of your head and see the actual world, and expand your consciousness to encompass this. When I actually got it to work (and when it hurt like hell >.<) I actually was able to see the back of my head eek It's.... kinda.... odd...

Then you just pull all the energy you can into the entire area (not just into your body, but into the air around your body which is now part of your consciousness sort of sweatdrop ) and you can completely manipulate it 3nodding

Warning, though, expand your consciousness slowly. I'm having trouble thinking of a good way to explain the concept in human terms, but you have to expand your consciousness to outside of your head such that it includes your body and everything around you. But expanding it even the slightest bit outside your head hurts, so if you expand it too quickly and attempt to include your entire body, you might just die or something sweatdrop

A request-

If ANYONE in this guild ever figures out this trick entirely, will you please experiment with it in all forms of kinetics, magick, alchemy, reiki, psionics, and damned near everything? whee I want to know exactly how this trick affects everything. In theory this could make all forms of magic far stronger if someone were to master it.

I'm expecting that someone who practices this for a few years could pick up plates and cups from across the room, transmute objects into different ones, knock people unconscious with the power of thought, and all those other little tricks that people want to learn so badly but are just barely beyond our reach 3nodding

Facinating... I ... had something, for a second. I still have it, but it no longer makes sense. Maybe it will come in time, or with more information. Anyway.. not to brag, but sometimes I come into these, like... Awakened, self-knowledge and peace times... if I get the trick by then, I'll try it. and see if it works with other things and such. ^ ^() No garuntees on even understanding it though

Trust me- you probably won't understand it more than you do already ^^;; To sort of have it and then still have it but it no longer makes sense is exactly how much I understand it xd It's simply something too complex for the human mind to grasp. Just try it and see if you can get it to work 3nodding Trying it is really the best thing you can do xp

why not just have a few experts practice in those areas?

divide and conquer.

Yesterday I was on the brink of an amazing discovery and I completely lost it sweatdrop

I had been sitting down and thinking about psionics and such, and I slowly began to realize something. And as I was but moments away from finally grasping what I assume would have been an unearthly discovery, I forgot it sweatdrop

It had something to do with how to gather massive amounts of energy (by which I mean, around 30-40x as much energy as I use in the majority of my techniques, and more than the human body can normally hold without seizuring uncontrollably). I just don't remember any of the details xp I'll tell you all if I figure it out again.

GAAAAAH. LIKE EVERY DAY. scream Ug, I hate it... I compose good poems, good stories, good spells all in my head... and if I try to write them down, they're gone. HATE it..
could be the fact that you think faster then your write 3nodding

Or maybe we lose them because human brains are the thought equivalent of Windows 95. *sigh* The best descoveries of everything are surely trapped in the Recycle Bin of our minds...
Quite a nice analogy there. And yeah, it happens to me more than I could say. Whether it be with writing, thinking, remembering, or...discovering, I don't know, I'll get distracted and lose it completely. I think we're all ADD within our own minds. Dyslexic, too. Or...maybe that's just me...

Nope, seconded. sweatdrop Course, I would feel better if others sounded stupid and dyslexic because the think faster than they can talk and mix up all their words... that bothers the hell out of me. sweatdrop As for me, I bet I would be clinically ADD if not for the fact I can read a book for 7 hours straight.

I do that too often. I talk faster then I think sometimes and I end up making what I call "typos out loud". I don't usually realize I'm talking that fast though. It makes me mad as to how people joke me for it. I can't really help it. I've never thought that I could ADD though. I can read a book for hours on end. (then I get a headache because I forget to eat... sweatdrop )
Wanna hear bad memory? Once I clicked on a link and about two seconds later, being the page was taking slow to load, I forgot why I clicked it.
Also, when I am trying to remember something important and then I need it, it's usually gone. I have to sit down and go back over my thoughts to get it again.

Bad memory.. yep, thats me. I could not count how many times I was walking through my house to get something and forgot what it was. Glad I am not alone there

I do the same thing.... I have incredible focus, but terrible memory. They kind of contradict one another...
PostPosted: Tue Jul 25, 2006 12:09 pm

I'm quite the opposite memory-wise. I have great consentration when I want to, And even better memory when I want to remember something. most of the time I don't even try and I can pretty much quote something like a book/movie or whatever word for word. But sometimes I get these "Brain farts" or "Senior moments" and totally forget what I was just gonna do xp

I get that whenever I'm stuck for something to draw. I see something on tv maybe, think "hey, that's cool to draw". I then forget it for about a month. domokun

Sounds... interesting? 0.o;

But yeah, I forget things all the time while I'm thinking. Like just this week I was in the car on the way to school and trying to remember the dream I'd had that morning and I know I remembered what happened, but I didn't know what I was thinking about while remembering >.< It was like 'I know what happened in my dream! ... Why can't I think of it? I know I know it! gonk '
But then on the other side of that, we have to memorize Bible verses and stuff at my school (religious school) and I always do that on the way to school in the morning >.< So I can cram into my memory... but then forget it as soon as I write it because I don't care >.<

Yeah, I know the feeling. It normally works if you meditate on that thought "path" that you took to get to the idea. Cat Cot Cod Cold Gold. If I forgot gold, I should remember cat cot cod cold and the rest will come naturally.
