I don't think it would really be enough to discount the concept. First of all, mouse and rat are two separate species, so it doesn't violate the species rule, and secondly, I believe the circumstance and reasoning for each's transfromation is different. I did notice Chert, and that's why I switched my original concept of rat to mouse. Didn't know he was gonna end up white, though XD;; Plus, mice are more typically used in genetic research since several generations can be observed in a short period of time.
Hey, worst comes to worst, I can add a little color instead of him being totally albinistic XD
Thanks for the comment -needs to work on updating once he gets some free time-
EDIT: Yeah, I checked the front page and it states there can't be two of the same species, but they used squirrels as an example. From what I gather, there can be other species of rat, but no other abinistic rats. However, mice are not a classification under the rat family but instead their own species, though they do fall under the group of rodents. But since they are a different species, an albinistic member of the mouse family is technically allowed. 3nodding

Heh, thanks! I was nervous it sucked or wasn't realistic enough. It's taken a lot of work to get it to this point, though.
It wasn't too hard since he was an existing character of mine. I think I will change the first name to Noah at least. Do you think that would be better? Anyways, I have this quirk about myself about wanting to research things I don't know to make the character seem more realistic. I guess you could say I have a strong 'reality prinicple' or something. XD
Hrm, that sounds like it might work. Hey, he works for a lab as it is, maybe he could go as a sort of ambassador or something between labs? I dunno. I just suck at coming up with the 'how he got there' ideas XD;;
Yeah, it's good to have confirmation on that part. It's not like white mice are rare anyways. They crop up a lot, especially in fancy mice (the domesticate version of the common house mouse) due to inbreeding and stuff. But like I mentioned before, worst come to worst I could add some color instead of having him be totally white. But I shall start looking for a backup...maybe some sort of rabbit (they're also used in testing) or some other rodent (to match his skiddish and shy nature).
Thank you for the feedback!

Heh, I'm glad somebody is doing this idea.
While I admittedly skimmed it, the character sounds solid. I would suggest removing the post-tramatic stress disorder though. It feels sort of tacked on. He can still have "issues" and people who grow up with that sort of life often do. But post-tramatic stress disorder seems a little strong to me.
Otherwise, great job.

I do love the concept. ^^ Hence why I did it XD It seems so ironic...so fitting, and it makes me wonder why no one thought of it (thouhg I'm glad they didn't!). I was gonna do it with another character, but I had issue with fleshing out his background so...I went with Noah instead.
It's alright with the skimming bit...it's awfully long. Maybe that's why not many people have commented or bothered with this. Because it is long. I tend to get carried away at times XDD;;;; Hrm, I will consider your suggestion, because it always did feel awfully over-the-top. I just figured that although one can encounter trauma without having PTSD, all the abuse and just crap in general (especially the part wherein he was beat with a chair leg/broomstick) would have left him with some trauma reactions. It sounds imposing, but in RP, it wouldn't play out quite so heaily. He was gonna exhibit the traits of hyperarousal with a little of intrusion and avoidance. it wasn't going to be like he'd drop down screaming in a flashback or panic attacks every two seconds...it was going to be downplayed as second to his OCD. I just thought the hyperarousal would transfer/associate well to a flighty sort of animal like a mouse. Maybe just anxiety disorder issues or something? -plots a way to maybe downplay/cut back on stuffs-
Thanks for the comment though! Very helpful and gave me stuff to think about ^w^

Hi Kokonotsu
Its just a pet peeve of mine that any personallity quirk is an disorder. To me for something to be classed as a disorder it need to be a crippling and totally prevent the character from normal interaction unless its medicated. For example a neat freak is often described as having minor OCD. It isn't a disorder unless it seriously disrupts ones ablity to function.
Just think long and hard about a disorder, because it should dominate your character.

I can understand that. Today it seems that everything is overdiagnosed as a disorder. ADHD anyone? It seems a few years back, EVERY kid had it. But back when I first made Noah, he did have the abuse and PTSD impact him more heavily (partly due to his personality and passive nature), and that's why it was there...but as I toned him down, I suppose it's become more evident that since it hasn't effected him as badly (or at least has not become a central feature), and it can probably be removed.
So I'm planning on taking it out and seeing how it effects the flow of things. But anyways, I started making this back when I was in Psychology class last year so...yeah. I love that field and the disorders fascinate me and sort of took over, heh. ^^;; But it wasn't as if I said 'o hay, let's pick an issue out of the hat and use it', I did put quite a bit of thought into it. But it does seem a little over-the-top, so I think this weekend when I get some free time I'll work on a revamp to put up when the poll expires and I can assess the results and stuff. But the OCD will remain as an important part. That much I am keeping (plus, it does sort of effect him rather adversely-- not all mental illnesses have to be 'crippiling, but it is true that they are 'disorders' because they impede on life and how it's lived). But really, the feedback has been helpful!

domokun Working on a revised bio/personality assesment for this coming week, hopefully. Also, tweaking some things and trying to make a condensed bio for people too lazy (or not insane enough) to read the full bio. 3nodding
