Hi i'm Bella. I've been playin the violin for eight years now. I have a lot of passion for what I do. It's a great feelin bein surrounded by so many other wonderful musicians and makin music together. I'm a senior in high school now and unfortunately all the music programs in schools all across the city have been cut. Sadly, there will be no more winter/spring concerts at my school. However, that wil not keep me from doin what I love to do.

About me? Uh, I suppose ya can call me Anrea (or Rea for short), I've been playing for *counts* almost six years now? Unfortunately, it's mostly really short, about half an hour a day or so. Stupid homework...Uh anyways, favorite piece? Well, the Brandenburg Concerto, No. 3, "B.T." (from .Hack//Sign, that reaaaaly pretty violin piece. It's on the Setup menu if you have the first DVD...) even IF I can't play anywhere NEAR that well, "The Gift" which about 3 years back and you've probably never heard of it, and what I've seen/heard of Vivaldi's works. I'm trained classical, but I do some fiddle pieces. But I've spent so much time as doing classical stuff, you take away the sheet music, and...It ain't pretty. (You'd think I could come up with SOMETHING close the what I'm supposed to be playing, but...) ( eek Why'd it eat this part? Darn possessed computer...Possessed website?) Anyway, I went to Blue Lake Fine Arts camp (maybe better known just as BLFAC) summer before last (as in 03 if I'm being confusing again), and I hope I can go again this comming summer. Wonderful place, even IF the cups have this weeeeeird aftertaste...Um, I guess that's it for now...

Hiya! I'm Kiyo, and I've been playing violin for about 5 or 6 years now, and I love it. I started through my school in 5th grade and am now in 10th.
I actually bought my first violin last year, a Romanian violin, I'm not sure of the brand or maker.. I should check that out. Its a very nice violin.
Umm.. my favorite piece? I don't really have a favorite, but I definately love Canon in D, Carnival of the Animals was a lot of fun to try with my orchestra last year, and so was Carmen.
I dont currently take private lessons, but maybe I will somday.
Thats enough about me biggrin Nice to meet you all!

Thanks for inviting me here! I'm glad to be a part of this guild.
I don't own my violin anymore, but I used to play quite passionately about four years ago. Then my violin broke, and I stopped being able to afford classes. So I haven't touched one in forever...
But the passion is still there. I am always listening to any music that includes the instrument, and I strive to one day purchase one that I click with again.

Hi! I'm TheGreenGoddess also known as Jess. I just started playing the violin in the begining of August. I have no idea what kind of violin I have...all I know is that its pink ^_^ it's not a great instrument but it works just fine for me. I really like playing (even though my family keeps telling me it sounds like I'm killing cats...) I play piano and I'm a singer in my schools chorus so reading notes isn't a problem...I only really know the notes on the violin for the D string because the student conductor at my school (who is like a prodigey and he can play almost anything *green with envy*) is supposed to be teaching me but he has been so busy conducting I've had to rely on my friends to teach me stuff in between practicing songs. I don't have tapes on my violin yet -_- but i know at least how to play D,E,F,G on the D string. I'm getting better lol maybe you guys could give me a little advice ^_^ I'm starting to think I don't have the hands for it because my pinky is double jointed so it goes funny when I try to shift possitions...ok I'm done rambling now! Thanx for letting me into the guild!

My name is Ju Ju Be (Ju Ju for short), and I have been playing the violin for 14 years now. I began studying at a young age, and am now a music education major in college. My current favorite piece is Copeland's Appelacian Spring because we are playing it in our Chamber Orchestra. I'm in 3 out of 4 of our university's orchestras; Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Baroque Ensemble.
I think my violin is a Vanaugh (not sure of the spelling) copy, and it's about 14 years old. I love my violin, but my teacher told me I might be outplaying it (i.e. I need a new, better one... crying ).
Right now I'm playing Bach's Partita III and Paganini's Cantabile.

Hi! It's wonderful to be here <333.
My name is Johanna (Jo-anna), but everyone calls me jojo ^O^! I've been playing violin for nearly 10 years now. I always loved the instrument when i was a lot younger. My father always loved classical music, and would always try and have me watch the orchestral or musical programs that would be shown on tv. I remember watching this one person playing a violin solo once, and from there on I fell in love with the instrument. I told him I wanted to play it, and he said in due time.
Well at my elementary school, we had the choice of playing instruments in the 3rd grade. I remember the assembly we had. Teachers from different schools would come to play and explain each instrument to us, to let us know of our choices. But I didn't want to see anything else. I wanted the violin. And when I saw the performer sampling some of the violin's beauty, I was dazzled and right away I picked it. My teacher was Mrs. Mallick, and I'll never forget her <3. I caught on quickly it seems, and made first chair. I was in first chair ever since. I guess I had a talent for it!
Around 7th grade I was introduced to a college program for students at my school that included private lessons, orchestra ensemble, and music theory. I signed up, and every Saturday morning at 7 I would get on a bus with fellow string students, and drive 45 minutes to Montclair University (New Jersey) to have 6 hours to spend on studying and playing music!
Alright, long post, I know! Well I also went to Summer Symphony each summer starting at 7th grade. I stopped going to Montclair freshman year of highschool, and still continue my summer program. Now this same summer program is hosting a Fall/Spring program which I signed up for, so I'll have outside-school practices every saturday for 2 1/2 hours.
Ah, I love this instrument. I won't ever be one to go to college for it, but I'm proud to say its a hobby I love to do. heart

Hello my name is Denni. I'm 23, I'm black (w00t) and I have been playing violin since 3rd grade. You would think I would be a virtuoso....Nope. I'm more like an intermediate. I think because there are other things I like to do other than playing the violin, like designing clothes, sculpting masks out of clay, and VIDEO GAMES (especially RPGs). But I still love my violin and I believe it's my God given calling in life. I'm college and I don't have major, cause I keep trying to get in to the orchestra (twice). But sadly they didn't accept me. Some of you would say "why don't you get another major and minor in music or som'thin'" Well there isn't anything I want to do. Doctor? Too gross! Teacher? I like kids, but not that much... stare Lawyer? Too much paperwork! Artist? Well I could do that, but I'm not sure....maybe... Even so, I still couldn't let my violin go. I went to a performing arts high school. I've spent too much time with violin, playing in concerts and winning awards, that it would be too hard to put it down. I guess I'll have to learn to giving up some of my time from games and internet to practice more.....*sigh* sweatdrop but I love Gaia sooo much! heart
