Maiden's Hair

A long long time ago, how long it was, no one knew. There was an Asian maiden with long silky black hair and a terrible sickness, she's always sitting in her wheelchair underneath a sakura tree, staring at it's falling flower petals. People say her loved one died underneath that tree, some said his body was buried among it's roots. But nonetheless, the maiden had an undescribable attraction to the tree. She died, passed away peacefully lying beneath the tree. How did she managed to get out of her wheelchair when she's too weak to walk? Why was she covered in sakura petals though none were anywhere else on the floor? When Kyou found the tree, he was shocked to discover a strand of the maiden's hair, left behind curling itself on a tree branch. The strand of hair was still growing on it's own!! Does this mean that the corruption of the old world is still going on in the new world? Had it somehow affected the maiden and the tree? How far will the corruption lasts?? So many questions that could not have an answer...

Notes re: Fel Essance & Soul Thereof

Fel essance
Known facts:
- maiden hair
- sick / corrupted
- sakura petals > very feminine and delicate

Accompanying soul
- MEDUSA >D have met Nyoka, do not need her for a daughter. Life as a stone not sounding appealing.

A scorching glare was directed at the parchment, teeth chewing fiercely on the end on a feather quill. Meager light danced across the page, cast by scented candles whose incense didn't completely cover the musty aroma of old books and scrolls.

"Stuff this," the seemingly young woman cursed. Pushing her chair back from the desk with a harsh screech, she stuck her head out the door. Kali yelled down the hallway, "Hey, Roth! Whats a good soul to use in a shonky, dubious experiment?"

The head of her adopted son popped out of another doorway down the far end of the building. Obviously primping for a date, if the constant adjusting of jewellery in his horns was any indication. "I'm about to leave," he scowled. At the matching scowl from his mother, he shrugged. "Something demonic!" With that, the demon disappeared back into his room.

Hmph, no help there. Flopping back down at her desk, Kali frowned for several moments. Slowly, a wicked grin spread across her face. She grabbed the quill and turned her attention back to the parchment.

Accompanying soul
Desired traits:
- holy, just to piss Roth off
- something strong or dangerous, to try and counter that annoying 'delicate', weak side to the essence. I don't need crybabies around with Roth living in this house Something that could kick his a** would be a plus.
- on second thought, holy would also be a good source of healing to counter the sickness the maiden supposedly possessed, and the corruption briefly mentioned in several versions of the legend
- ... MALE XD Because why should Roth be my only child to suffer. Let's seriously screw things up by countering out the female essence. Do you think that makes a genderless Ken doll, or a hermaphrodite? ... I guess we'll see.

Resulting conclusion: soul of a (male) warrior angel

Interview with a Vampire Sadistic Dragon Lady

Despite the arrogance in the walk of our third applicant as she enters the room, a small but charming smile is offered as she takes her seat. We are lounging comfortably in a small room off from the reception area of Lab 305. Present are our panel of judges - Dr. Kyou, Ms. Chloe and resident Raevan owner Julian Sweet - the applicant Kalindara ("please just call me Kali, everyone else does") and myself, loyal reporter to you, my faithful readers. The usual greetings and introductions are exchanged, and then we're down to business.

Kyou : If you were to choose another soul for your Raevan, what soul will you choose? Explain why.
Kali: Hmm, something else to annoy Roth... would be anything sparkly, fluffy and cute, like pixies, faeries, rosy-cheeked choir boys...
Here Kali coughs and seems to switch to a more serious personality.
I mean, I would certainly choose a soul that closely matched the Maiden's Hair and would also enable the Raevan to protect itself - that of the Medusa. It was my first thought upon reading of the Fel essence; what better suited to living hair than living snakes in hair - it seemed a rather obvious match. And just to show off my geekery, Medusa is also the name of a Marvel character from the group 'Inhumans', whose long hair is a weapon in itself and can be used as many extra arms and appendages.

Chloe : You want an angelic soul to annoy your other charge... do you really think you'd be a good guardian knowing that you enjoy aggrivating the ones your supposed to be caring for?
Kali: If you want a 'good' guardian to raise a perfect little darling of a child, I'm definitely not your woman. However, if you'd like someone who welcomes a challenge to raise a child as part of an experiment, and deal with all the headaches of both effects (like powers) of the experiment as well as the self-realisation that they are an experiment, then I'm your best candidate.
Reaching into a hidden pocket in her clothing, Kali whips out a photograph.
Take for example my first adopted child, Astaroth - a truly evil demon in his past life, he's now a much more together person, conquering his past self's vices, having solids friends, even falling in love - and I'd like to think I can claim a small amount of credit for that. Don't mistake tough love and teasing for disregard for my kids - I'd do anything for them, but I'll do it in my own way.

Julian : You are obviously one of those sadists, I see. Not an entirely bad thing. It has its merits. On a different note, with the relationship your Raevan and Fa'e will have, what do you think you are looking for in a babysitter?
A dark figure teleports into the room, fireballs bursting around him as he glares at our judges.
Astaroth: WHO SAID I NEEDED A BABYSITTER?!?!
Kali: Please ignore the raving maniac, though he does have a point that any babysitter will be primarily for Tariel - she glances around, hesitating,
am I allowed to have names in mind already - and not for Roth. As any babysitter may need to keep the peace between them, however, I would be looking for someone mature and able to manage disputes, who isn't easily intimidated, isn't afraid to hit a demon, but who also won't be swayed by soulful eyes and pleas to be picked up - they'd have to be able to discipline Tariel if it was hir fault. ... Do you think it's unfair if I add 'resistant to flames' on a job notice?

And so our interview was concluded rather smoothly - if one ignores the demonic interruption - and Kali went on her way. So were we to believe the exiled dragon that she was indeed the best candidate for the job? Or were our judges even more wary than before?

To find out, be sure to pick up our next issue, when we reveal the results of this high-charged competition!

(( * HIR is not a typo, it is an official gender-neutral pronoun ^^ ))

Kyoupiruchi
BANG!!!

A loud noise echoed out of Kyou's room followed by a low moan. "Ooowww...." Kyou rubbed the back of his neck, wincing. He was rummaging through the fel essence box, looking for a certain vial when the box lid fell on him. Good thing the box lid isn't too heavy or it may have decapitated him like in a freak accident.

"Well at least I found it." Lifting another rack of vials, he shone his little torchlight in the lower left corner of the box, where a vial with a tag "Tangible Dream" is located. Carefully he lifted the other vial racks laying on top of that certain rack, the fel essence in each vial either shimmer, bubble or just lay still in their own vials. Taking out the lowest left rack he placed it on a table. Then he extorted a small chain of keys from his lab pocket, he found the one he needed and opened the lock that's locking the vials to the wooden racks. It's a specially designed security lock to keep the vials safe from thieves. If the thief would force the rack open, the vial would break along with the rack as well.

He take out the vial and examined it. "Hmm... there's a small crack on the vial... but the essence seems to be still contained." The content of the vial shimmer in mesmerizing bright hues of purple, blue and green. Kyou peer into the fel essence and saw the dream he had the other night - Tsu got slapped by an old lady for molesting her. But the murky black 'glow' around the little crack worries Kyou, it seems to be in an eternal battle with the white glow around that area as well. He assumed that the black substance are nightmares, seeping into the vial from outside. It's a miracle how such a thing can happen, a fel essence that could contain dreams and materialises it in front of your eyes. Kyou should look away before the nightmare essences show him his nightmares.

He placed the vial carefully into a metal casing alongside an empty soul bottle. The metal casing is cushioned with soft cotton so that the vial and soul bottle wouldn't break. He closed the casing and wrote "For Renhei", and on the other casing beside it "For Kalindara".

(( Congrats!! And here's your cert!! x) heart ))
User Image User Image

Now Kyou needs to clean up the racks of fel essences in his room that's laying about. Carefully he placed them back into the box and locked up all 3 locks on the lid. Finally pushing the box back underneath his table so it's covered in the shadows. He needs to take all these precautions so that he could keep his research subjects safe from thieves. Taking up the casings, he walked over to his door to unlock it and set off to look for Chloe.

An innocent-looking glass bottle rested on the doorstep, a small tag detailing the sender and intended recipient. Picking up the bottle, Kali stared at it dubiously. It didn't look any different from a normal bottle. And yet it was supposedly a special blend of magic and science that would capture a living soul? Intriguing.

Kali had been told that placing the bottle near anything living would result in it sucking out the soul of that entity. Scowling, she wondered where in the house had nothing living near it. It wouldn't do to go to all this trouble and then end up with the soul of a bug by accident.

The actual capture of the intended soul would have to occur soon, then. Unfortunately, it wasn't something she could do on her own...

Time to make her demon son do something useful.

"What's that?" a head poked out into the hall. Kali hid a dark smile. Roth was too nosy for his own good.

"Just something for that dodgy experiment I was telling you about," she replied. Closing the front door, she decided to ward off a section of the library to hold this for now - it was safer than her workroom, which contained all manner of magical artifacts, creatures and souls.

Full emerging from his hideaway, Roth stared at the bottle. He seemed even less convinced than his mother at it's usefulness. "The one you're going to use a demon soul for?"

Well, that comment had started this whole mess, to be true. Kali smiled. "Well, I will be needing your help..."

"Just so you know," Astaroth said calmly, "I hate you."

The demon was lying on the grass at the edge of Kali's gardens - far from the house itself. Gorgeous silks were torn, stained by grass and blood alike. The red liquid pooled around Roth, still fresh...

... and completely fake. Golden eyes glared up at the redhead. His clothes were ruined, the liquid was decidedly icky to lie in, and this definitely wasn't what he'd signed up for.

An angel's soul, of all things! Was his mother purposefully trying to annoy him? (Little did he know, the answer was a serious 'yes'.)

"Whatever happened to the demonic soul you said you were going to use?"

Kali rolled her eyes at her son's demand. "That was you, not me. I never said what I was using, you just assumed things."

A hissing sibilance of curses and snarls left the demon's mouth as he realised his own folly. "Don't know why I have to help, then."

"You said you would." Kali inspected her nails as they waited for the third party required for this charade.

Another hiss. "Should have demanded to know the plan first."

"Probably should've."

Silence fell. Roth searched for demon-shaped clouds above him and spent more time pondering the effect on fake blood on his a** than he would ever admit aloud. Bathing in blood was meant to make your skin young and soft, right? But this was fake blood. Damn. Did it still have the same effects? Maybe there needed to be some studies done on this...

Luckily for the innocents of the world, a crackle what appeared to be green lightning in the air announced the arrival of their awaited aid. The world would sadly never know the differences real blood and fake blood would make to a demon's backside, as Roth quickly lost his train of thought in the joy of finally being able to get this farce over with.

"Just what," said a voice so deep it was a slow rumble, "was so important that you called me here? And why is she here?"

Roth sighed as he watched the brown-skinned demon and his mother glare at each other. There was no love lost between them. Beelzebub, as Roth's second in command of Hell, did not approve of the woman chosen by Yan Lao to raise his reincarnation. In turn, Kali disliked the being who continually stole her son away and then barred him from leaving Hell.

To prevent an argument breaking out, Astaroth jumped straight to the point. "We're going to steal an angel's soul and we need your help."

Not many things surprised the oldest demon, but this was one of them. Beelzebub raised an eyebrow. "Why does my lord require an angel's soul?"

Uh oh. That was in the snooty tone that meant the General disapproved. That wasn't boding was for what came next, then.

"Actually, that would be me," Kali replied, tone matching Beelzebub's perfectly. Watching the General's eyes narrow, she preempted his response, "No, this is not part of a plot to kill Roth. Honestly, as if I would kill my own son!"

Roth pouted. He wasn't such a bad son that people assumed his mother would happily kill him, was he? ... Nah.

"It's for a crazy experiment some pretty doctor is running. I have to give him a soul as one of the ingredients, so this seems like a good choice."

The elder demon didn't seem convinced. "And for this, I'm to help you capture the soul of-"

"Oh seriously, angels are your enemies," Kali huffed. All this waiting around was boring and pointless. "Do you really care what happens to the soul of one of them? No? Then help Roth grab a soul and put it in this bottle-" here she waved the round bottle Kyou had sent to her, "- and let us experiment on it or torture it or whatever."

There was silence.

"The sooner you do it, the sooner you can leave," Kali pointed out.

Giving a grin that bared his fangs, Beelzebub turned to Roth. "We're starting right now."

A demon lay dying in an open field. As Beelzebub had once told Astaroth, Heaven was no longer willing to attack Hell itself thanks to Roth's bloodthirsty former incarnation. This situation was therefore irresistible to Heaven's warriors. Doubly so since their last attack on Astaroth almost succeeded; only the intervention of Beelzebub had saved the young demon.

They didn't wait long.

Flashes of light heralded the arrival of two attackers. Already in mid-dive, they hurtled towards the fallen demon. Their holy weapons glinted viciously as wordless battle cries filled the air. The glowing blades sliced through the air - and met a rising darkness which rapidly surrounded the angels in a sphere.

Prey captured, Kali and Beelzebub emerged from their hiding place. Their combined magicks had kept them hidden from notice, causing Heaven's warriors to believe the injured Astaroth was alone and vulnerable.

Said demon opened one eye to squint around him. "Is it done?"

"If it wasn't, your talking surely gave it away," Kali returned. Her voice was mellow with good spirit, pleased with the outcome of the venture and her upcoming experiment which would make use of the soul they captured today.

In no mood for banter, Beelzebub said, "We only need one, do we not?" At the dual nods from the others, one of the bubbles of darkness imploded. Kali assumed the inhabitant was obliterated, but thought better than to ask the prickly demon for specifics.

Instead she drew out the bottle Dr. Kyou had sent her. The glass caught the sunlight and refracted it back, the flash reminding Kali of the weapons the angels carried - poison to her son's veins. Shuddering, she stepped forward and pushed the item at the dark bubble, careful not to touch the darkness itself as it gave her the creeps. The bottle was slowly sucked in, disappearing completely within the space of a minute.

"I guess now we wait?" She was startled to find that came out as a suggestion. No doubt due to the imposing General who was making his dislike of her and the situation known with his constant glare.

Nobody else liked the idea, either, but they were all stuck there until it was over. Thankfully the time passed in silence. If they weren't willing to make the effort to converse politely, at least they weren't actively irritating or baiting each other.

"It's done," Beelzebub finally announced.

Kali wanted to ask how he knew... but fidgeted and bit her tongue instead. No sense giving the demon an opening.

"How do you know?"

Hiding a smile, Kali was thankful that her son was naturally curious - particularly about powers he might be able to use himself, with training. And luckily Beelzebub had no compunctions about explaining things to his ruler.

"I can no longer sense the living presence of the angel, though the faint pulse of his soul remains. The change wasn't caused by me, so I assume that strange bottle worked."

The bottle appeared at the edge of the bubble of darkness. Kali rushed forward to catch it as it was ejected, the bubble imploding to take care of the angel's remains. Almost hypnotised by the swirling of the captured soul, Kali stroked the glass. The smile on her face clearly suggested that her mind was elsewhere.

"I assume my role in this farce is complete?" Without waiting for an answer, Beelzebub disappeared in the same manner as which he had arrived.

"Well, if I'm done," Roth shook his drenched and stained robes, "I think I need a shower and a change of clothes."

Nodding absently, Kali began the walk back to the house. Time to contact Dr. Kyou and see when he wanted this soul.

kalindara
Kali had spent quite a while locked away in her rooms, studying the soul they'd trapped. Messy notes were scrawled through her current hide-bound notebook, detailing reactions and theories. Roth's constant suggestions of ways to torture the soul had resulted in her tuning him out, so it wasn't until his fifth try that she finally heard him remind her that Lab 305 had wanted the soul returned to them once caught.

Oops.

Stepping through the doors, Kali glanced around the reception area. Nothing had really changed since the last time she'd been here, to pick up the Fel essence. Now, with both essance and soul in her possession, she leant against the counter and waited for someone to appear. It seemed that Chloe, the usual receptionist, was out...

tsu 5 e
Tsu was on a mission this morning. He had worked late into the night copying down notes and diagrams of different raevans and had easily lost track of time. Much less forgotten he was needed to sit at the front desk this morning as Chloe was still out on leave attending to some personal matters. How I loathe the reception desk Tsu thought darkly, searching for a cup of coffee to try and snap him out of the funk. At least Zave had been curious enough to follow and keep Tsu company today.

"Why are you so intent on finding coffee now? Shouldn't you have done this sooner?"

Just great... he's learned how to nag. Now I'll never hear the end of it. "Look... I need to get these projects done if we're gonna keep that apartment. The least you could do is be supportive and make sure that no one comes in while I'm back here trying to wake up."

"Next time, maybe start a little earlier..." Zave sighed slightly as he floated towards the front. Only to stop to a dead standstill when he reached the door. "Erm... Tsu? Someone is standing out there right now...." An uncertain smile plastered on the raevan's face... obviously someone new.

"s**t. I guess this will have to wait." Tsu grumbled, fixing a pleasant smile on his face while rushing out the door. Zave following behind cautiously. "Hi there, terribly sorry for the wait. I'm Dr. Tsu, and you are...?"

kalindara
Glancing up as people finally entered, Kali gave a half-twist to her lips that didn't quite make a smile. "Ah, I haven't seen you here before doctor. My name is Kalindara, and I was belatedly informed that I need to return a soul to you... along with my Fel essence, of course."

Both items were placed on the counter, just in case the Lab was bothered by visitors who weren't customers, and were trying to sneak a look at the equipment.

This Dr. Tsu, Kali decided as she eyed him, didn't really look all that competent. "Listen, are you sure you're really- oh, is that one of them?" she broke off, attention finally drawn to the other figure who'd entered with the doctor. Crossing behind the counter, she moved closer to Xavier for a better look. "He's simply stunning," the mage breathed, intrigued by how such a creature was put together. "What did you make him from?"

tsu 5 e
Tsu already had hints of distaste for this Kalindara. Still he kept a small hint of a smile pasted on his face. Something about keeping your friends close, but those you don't like even closer. Somehow it was always a masochistic approach but it works. "Nice to meet you Kalindara. So you have some materials for us as well. I'll show you the process in a bit, if you're interested." Sure he was lying about it being nice to meet her... but what she doesn't know doesn't kill her. Unless it's the fact she doesn't know someone has poisoned her slowly he thought darkly before shrugging it off when there was talk about Zave.

Zavier floated there unsure of how to take the compliment or if the attention was truly wanted. "Is it alright if you... back up a little. You're really close..." he fretted a little... not wanting to offend the guest.

"Zavier is a combination of the eye of a storm, and Sleipnir. He's still getting used to being around people, so observing so closely might put him at edge..." Tsu decided to leave the friendly warning. "What soul did you capture to go along with your..." Tsu consulted a clip board with notes on it, "...Maiden's Hair essence?"

kalindara
Kali obligingly backed away from the Raevan, internally hoping that all Raevan's weren't so picky about their personal space. If so, hers would have to adjust very quickly, living in a house with Roth and several pets and creatures who didn't know the meaning of personal boundaries.

She shot Dr. Tsu a feral grin. "I used my demon son as bait to trap the soul of a warrior angel. It ought to be interesting.

People disliking her was not a new thing. In fact, most of the time it was welcomed, since she didn't like humans and made no bones about the fact. Mutual animosity was much more appealing than trying to pretend to like each other.

"Ho, you've got a bit of bite to you," she smirked at Tsu. "Nice to see not everyone in this place is a pushover."

tsu 5 e
"Judging by your comment about me not being a pushover, I'll assume you've met our newest staff member, Chloe" Tsu said coolly. "Nice girl... might need a replacement backbone... but still a good worker."

Zavier breathed an inward sigh of relief that he had some room again. It seems like Laz's words had already taken some effect in the young mind of the new Raevan. With this new room, he was able to look at Kalindara and decided she might not be that bad... besides the new Raevan she was going to make might be interesting.

Noticing a hint of disappointment in his Raevan's behaviour, Tsu tried to recover a little bit. "Don't misunderstand... Zave is just new at meeting people and his first encounter he learned about personal space. Some of the other Raevans will just go right up to anyone though." Next lesson for both Laz and Zave would have to be tact, Tsu decided at that point.

"A warrior angel and a demon living in the same house. Sounds like you plan on having some interesting experiments of your own design." Tsu was taking a sudden interest in this situation. After all, it's not every day he got to see a storm brewing for free. "I look forward to hearing how the two handle it..."

"Anyway... this small talk must be boring you. Would you like to see the machine that we use for the growth process...?" Tsu said, carefully picking up both the soul bottle and the fel essence that Kali had deposited earlier.

kalindara
"Yes, we've met. Briefly. It's nice to see this place has someone who can handle any potential... forceful... visitors. I imagine you doctors must guard your secrets very closely for fear of competitors." If they were anything like mages, anyway.

"Interesting is the right word for it," she smirked, all too easily foreseeing the problems between her children. "Living with my son will ensure my Raevan either has no problems with personal space, or goes into nervous fits when people try to approach her." Kali didn't sound very worried about either occurrence, but inwardly she thought it would likely be the former. Having a warrior angel's soul rather than just any old angel should provide a degree of immunity from the overwhelming panic of having a half-grown demon as a family member.

Following after Tsu, Kali looked around carefully, taking in as much as she could. "If I were bored, I'd say so. But I am interesting in seeing how you've managed to combine magic and sorcery to create the Raevans - I've never seen them combined to such effectiveness before."

tsu 5 e
"Yes... there have been some issues with people trying to take some of our technology for their own purposes... but that has been handled quite well." Tsu said as he continued towards the door to lead towards the back. Zave following behind Kali a little bit away, still curious about the new person slightly.

"Unfortunately most of the secrets are locked away in Kyou's notes... but I'm sure you're the type that can take in information from what you do see. These days a lot of the process is actually completed in a self contained machine attached to a tank that I will be putting your materials in. We do have a couple of tanks occupied, so you're fortunate that one has opened now." Tsu said leading the way to the lab door and pulling out his key card. "This goes without saying... but please refrain from using any of our technology for your own personal gain - outside of torturing your other kids."

kalindara
Kali nodded when Tsu spoke of the attempted thievery. Of course such secrets would be desired by others. She was glad to know they weren't a problem - it wouldn't do for someone to break in and steal her Raevan while it was growing, now would it?

"I don't think you'll have a problem," she assured Tsu with a less abrasive smile than the ones she'd previously shown. "My curiosity may be limitless, but I'm strictly a mage. There is enough for me to learn and experiment with without adding human technology into the mix."

The pure truth, although that didn't stop her from admiring Xavier, who was following some distance behind them. The rune was especially interesting, though she tried not to stare. Was it the rune that allowed them to exist in a half-formed state like that? Or was the rune more to do with the souls and essences they'd been created from? She'd have loved to ask these sorts of questions, but thought she'd better not push her luck on her first meeting with this doctor.

tsu 5 e
"I understand how that works. I'm more interested in the growth process of the Raevans myself. I'd like to take notes on how they think, act, and physical growth over time. If you'd be so kind, when your raevan is coming in for check ups... I'd also like to see how they will change when your son is in the room too. Of course you too will have access to any notes if it suits your fancy."

Zave felt Kali stealing glances back and he didn't know how to react, but he was getting used to her. In fact, he was moving forward closer to the group, feeling a little more confidence to interact with her.

"Here we are at the tanks, I'll just put the essence in here, and the soul in this portion...." Tsu expertly went through the motions to start up the machine. "There we are, your Raevan will start the growth process, so all we can do now is wait." He indicated to the other tanks where two raevans were in the forming process... one basically a shell of ashes and the other a swirling mixture of colors and gasses, with body parts starting to form and materialise.

kalindara
Kali fascination with Zave was quickly surpassed by her fascination with staring at the forming Raevans - proving her interest was purely academic. It was intriguing to see the Raevans even less formed than the half-formed Xavier behind them, all rune and swirling ribbons and the occasional recognisable body part.

"What a unique process," she murmured. "What is the average time from starting the growth process to the stage your Raevan here has reached?"

Magic tended to either be instaneous or take incredibly long periods of time to take effect. Perhaps adding technology into the mix made the process somewhere in between.

"I'll tell Roth you're interested in seeing the results of him torturing his sibling. It's probably the only way to get him to show up, the contrary b*****d." She paused. "That, and I don't think he's quite forgiven me for making him act as bait yet."

tsu 5 e
"The time it takes for the creatures to form usually varies... so it's still hard to even give an average. We've been finding that the growth time usually depends on the volitility of the essence. Things such as the fire born essence took only a couple weeks to form, while Roux - a Raevan made from a Roc soul and ice that doesn't melt - took around a month and a half or so." Tsu said. "We're also looking at the essence and soul combinations as a basis for growth after being 'born' so to speak."

"I'll thank you now for your cooperation in the further torture... erm studies of your future Raevan and your demon son, Roth. I'm curious how the contradicting forces will react."

kalindara
Even though the growth period was unstable, Kali nodded to herself, having been correct when she'd thought the technology would speed the process up. The problems with mixing elements made sense.

"I look forward to assisting you with your research," she said to Tsu. "Though I must agree with your first assessment of torture. Why else would I be doing this after all?"

She laughed before making her way back out of the labs. "I suppose I'll see you once my Raevan has emerged then. It was interesting to meet you, Dr. Tsu, Zavier."

Tari visited the Lab and met Ekundayo. For once, Tari was the most well-spoken! O.O

Tari: *flit-flits about, all hyperactive, like a hummingbird*

Dayo: *drifts up to Tari in all of her downy messy-haired glory* OwO

Tari: *beams at Dayo* Hi-hi! *flits around Dayo to get a good look* I's Tari. And you? Has nummy looking hair! 83

Dayo: *after hearing Tari, unwinds a tangle of hair from her wrist and inspects it curiously* oxo *fails to see why it would be tasty* D:

Tari: Is very wild, must taste exciting, yes? *points to self* Cause Tari is made from hair, yus? By God *nodnods* What God made you from? ... You talks? o.O

Dayo: *confused now* D:

Tari: *lost and confused, has never been the most verbose Raevan before* Um... um... Tari *points to self* was made from hair *gestures to hair* and from angel *points at wings*. Put together, made Tari! *beams* ... You write? Tari read little bit... o.o;;

Dayo: *nods slowly and blankly as Tari talks, conveying that she understands* oxo... *makes a tragically sad face while pointing at a cloud outside, then shows off her eagle wings by spreading them out and leaning forward a bit so Tari can get a better look*

Tari: *frowns in concentration* Is sky... No, cloud. Is cloudy. And... bird? *doesn't know enough birds to guess at what type of bird wings Dayo has* So cloud and bird makes you! *beams and claps her hands* Yay! And Cloudy is so pretty! n.n

Mouse: *looks up from an issue of Popular Mechanics* =w= You can call her Dayo, Tari.

Dayo: *happynods!!* 8DD

Tari: Dayoooo~ *sing-songs the name before glomping Dayo* Hi-hi! Nice to meet n.n Dayo is girl, cause Dayo has boobs! Tari has, too *grabs her own to show what she means, not knowing anything about social conduct* Tari has a not-girl friend who has no boobs at all! O.O He flatten them, and therefore longer chest down here *gestures below her breasts, when the Raevan ends and the rune and ribbon show*

Dayo: *didn't mind a male Raevan using her chest as a pillow, and also doesn't seem to see anything wrong with Tari's self-groping and boob-talk* ouo *starts thinking it's tragic that Jasper's body is shorter even though he's a guy!* ;3;
