I'm glad you like both and aren't bashing a particular pairing. Personally, I like 4+D but I have nothing against 3+4 fans. 3nodding

I'm partly opposed to 3x4 because it usually involves stereotyping Quatre as gay; I'm not saying that he isn't necessarily, but the logic most people use for it is "Well, he's too polite and sensitive to be straight! And he wears pink!" and so on. In other words, because he's not a bleching, womanizing jerk, he HAS to be gay, or at least they say. It's not just insulting to the character, it's demeaning to gays, and I think everybody ought to be treated with dignity and respect.

4xD is ok, but I can see Quatre with Relena more than with Dorothy, because well, Quatre would seem to get along with relena better, but then they're so similar they might o.o get annoyed with each other eventually >>...and themselves. Quatre and Dorothy are very different though, and the scarey thing is that they're both blonde. So honestly, it's one of my favorites and I can see it working, but I can also see why it wouldn't. Quatre's a wannabe pacifist and Dorothy's pro war (etc etc)
3x4 Quatre and Trowa are really good friends, and there's nothing wrong with that. But honestly, we see a good thing goin like a good friendship and wanna turn it into a lovey-dovey thing. If they are like that (Which due to research on interviews from years ago that was't what was intended) it's their business. But if they just wanna be close friends let them be that. That's MY OPINION, not yaoi/shounen ai bashing.

Amen to that! Going to an all-girls school, I have a lesbian friend but that doesn't mean I love her. Actually, she's currently being turned straight by the nuns at our school. Catholics are horribly homophobic but even if I'm Catholic, I don't hate gay people. I just don't believe in the same things they do...

I do have fave het pairings but, some how I just don't see Quatre and Dorothy being a heated relationship.
I can see her liking him, but then again I think she might want a more stronger and agressive partner.
And well I've been reading 3x4 for as long as I've liked the show xd so maybe seeing them paired differently just doesnt feel right.

Quatre is too kind hearted for someone like Dorothy. Dorothy seems to need someone more of her Equal mentally and physically then someone who could be a life long friend.

Ok, I guess Dorothy would be good for Quatre, but like others have mentioned already it might not be too likely. Its nice to figure out pairings, figure out the future of the people we love so much and as yet, since there is no revelation as to what actually occurs, we like to try and figure it out. Maybe Quatre will meet some other person later, which, if we were looking at it from a normal view, people don't typically meet their soul mate within a randomly chosen two-year period. I guess we've come to an agreement...more or less...that Quatre is sensitive because of the massive 29 sister female influence, lol.
As I am a Catholic like our great Colonel, I also accept our Church's teaching that homosexuality (expressed) is not acceptable. As a side note, the teaching is NOT homophobic or anti-gay or anything like that. We are called to love all of our fellow humans. However, even in psychology, homosexuality has been referred to as Psycho Sexual Development Disorder, because after all it is not a fruitful end or whatever---to produce a connection that would end reproduction, without science stepping in, whether you think homosexuality acceptable or no. Again, this doesn't mean we hate the homosexual or say they are condemned to hell, they just have their own leaning towards a particular disorder, just like greed, pride or anything else---like every other human being. Therefore I can't give 3x4 a pass.

I absolutelly adore both pairings. I shall admit, I was a little weirded out by 4+D for a while, but now I can't help but bounce around wildly when I hear of eather of these pairings.

I think Trowa and Quatre have a better erm history... xD they met first.. they.. did stuff... the duet was so cute x3!!! Quatre was so fricking worried when Trowa explodes x3 (after a sexy speach) XD
