Ok, this relates to fanon and the only fanon pairing I like: 4+D. In your opinion, are they a good match or is 3+4 better?
Personally I'm an anti-yaoi. I hate yaoi but not yaoi fans, ok? Anyway, I love 4+D because of the comedic angst it has. I mean what could be funnier than falling for the girl who beat you at a fencing match and stabbed you? It's perfect love-hate!
Your opinions on the matter?

I don't care for yaoi, but I don't see 4xD either. Personally, I think Dorothy is the naughty type who would need someone who felt less like a little brother and more like a serious romantic partner. Plus, Quatre's just not the type to be corrupted that easily.

First off let's clear up some Yaoi Myth's. Yaoi is not Guy on Guy relationships. It's basically means, No Plot, No Point, all Smut. Shonen Ai or as it's sometimed called Boy Love is all about the relationship building between two men that are infact gay.
Now. While the popular Hetero pairing for Quatre is him with Dorothy. I honestly can't see those two in a relationship. Dorothy seems allign herself with who she feels is the strongest of both sides. For whatever her history reasons are she does it. All she wants is to help make a political movement. You can see that in her brief appearance in Endless Waltz as well.
I see something more in Quatre and Trowa. As friends maybe a romantic relationship? Who knows. But they are close, alot closer then most of the other pilots are with one another. It's hard to explain but there is a certian spark in a connection between them.
My brain is just too fuddled to think of them at the moment.

I don't see anything with Yaoi pairings so much anyway really.
When did Dorothy appear in Endless Waltz and Quatre has a lot of power in a sense after his father's death in Wing.
So I'ld see her actually being a balance to Quatre, a paccifist and a war minded young girl, she'ld be thinking in the millitary nature and things of that sort.
They can and did work out some of their differences during that confrontation between each other on the Libra.
I'm against Yaoi in Wing, but not Yaoi fans themselves.
I just faill to see the logic some people come up with.

Personally I'm all for hetero relationships. I just dont' think Dorothy is the right person for Quatre. As strange as it sounds and it's hard to explain I think the relationship between Trowa and Quatre work out well enough (probably because Quatre carries the arch-type of a female character to a point that helps with the transition to Trowa and Quatre being in a gay relationship).

I really don't know. I'm not really into shonen-ai either, but the personalities of Trowa and Quatre seem to work pretty well with each other. At the same time, the slightly unrealistic quality of Quatre's and Dorothy's relationship makes for quite the entertainment. Of course, it depends on if you're looking into the realism or the entertainment factor of the fanon... I don't favour either.

4+D I have no problems with that. I love it to pieces, although the likeliness of it happening is minimal. They say opposites attract, and this is an extreme case. I would very much like to see more of this pairing, although. . . the 3+4 outnumbers it.
To be honest I can't seem to see Quatre as gay. He's the guy that every girl wants. A sentimental guy, though an extreme case of it. I do see that not that many girls wants a guy with more emotions than her. (But that only happens when an author goes overboard on the femininity.[Lord I hate that word!]) I can see why people thing he is, but he's not. I just can't see Quatre as the kind of guy to go for that kind of sex.

Oh dear... I can't imagine living with 29 brothers. I don't think it's something I could compare to, and definitely not most other people...

You know I get the odd feeling Incest would be more likely to happen then Quatre becoming gay I mean after all with his father and mother dead and him being the only heir, they'ld have to continue the Winner line somehow I'ld guess.
Though I'ld say/use this as a last resort option mind you. gonk

I would love to have 29 brothers!! I'm a tomboy that would be wonderful. Never be bored, always have somebody to distract the parents.
Yeah 29 sisters would make him sensitive. Now a real nightmare would be if they all started to PMS at the same time. Poor Quatre.

Well... being a staunch Christian doesn't exactly help my case, but I don't really mind yaoi in general... I guess it's what people like. Okay.
But no Gundam Wing yaoi. I can't see any of them as being gay - at all. It just doesn't suit their personalities, really. Not only that, but with all the tragedy and deep-rooted angst, Dorothy needs a sensitive guy - check out the Dorothy topic that's up right now for more on that. So yeah, a big fan of 4+D, and possibly even one of the most likely fanon pairings, besides being very entertaining, while still holding potential for "awwww... so sweet!" moments. I'm using it if I ever write a Wing fanfic - if I ever complete anything else I've done first.
