Yay! I'm not alone when it comes to naming random inanimate objects! Well, we were on a band/orchestra trip in May and we named all of our instruments, my flute is Geoff and my friend's flute is Debbie. There's WoolfGang the viola (not mine another friend's) and my drum sticks are Laurence and Fredricko. And also my cello-ing friend her cello's name is Jello.

I named my clarinet Chaperite... loooong story behind that one. XD It used to be named Claire, but I don't like that name much. [if I get a wooden one for concert, I am so naming it Brenda.]But yea, most of my friends have named their instruments as well.

I named...well...actually my friend named my bass clarinet platypus. I think she was trying to say that the head resembled an animal, although a platypus does not really come to mind when looking at it. sweatdrop So yes, the name stuck.

One night a fellow flutist and I were preparing to play at a basketball game. I noticed that her flute was open-holed and said "I want your flute. Mine's name should be Piece 'o Crap." She replied "Well mine is Holy Piece 'o crap." Or something like that. The names stuck anyway. Now I need a name for my brand new open-holed flute. But none are good enough. crying

My flute is Abbruzzezze, or Abby/Abz for short. No particular reason. It just sounded cool. XDD
"My" tenor (it's actually the school's, but whatever) is Dixon. Again, no particular reason. I guess it sounded kinda jazzy, and since I was learning tenor for jazz band, it seemed appropriate.
