Who is Andy?I'm not here to impress you.
I'm Andrew. I'm pretty simple to understand and, if you can get past my intense sarcasm, I'm somewhat easy to get along with. I'm pretty stubborn about things, but I think that I can be a fun guy to hang around with. People tend to call me funny, so I guess I am.
Music is a big part of who I am. I honestly don't think I'd be where I am today if music hadn't touched my life. I mainly play the B-flat Clarinet now but I do love to play on my Bass Clarinet and many of the other random persuasions that I played throughout high school. I tried to major in clarinet performance at UA but that fell through when I got in and almost immediately hated practicing.
I switched over to architecture, but realized, after a busy semester, that I had to be much more artistic than I had originally thought. I noticed that I couldn't design much, so that flew out the window as well.
After taking a magazine photography class over the summer of 2009 and getting acquainted with the journalism department, I changed over due to my great experience and because I was already tumbling off of the fence onto that side. So, I'm a journalism major at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Ideally, I think it'd be great if I could spend my life critiquing car design in a magazine such as Road & Track or Car & Driver. And after my internship and subsequent temporary job at Madden Media, I'm near 100 percent sure I'd rather be doing magazine work than newspaper stuff once I get out in the world.
After some weird stints with minors, double minors, and double majors, I've now secured a double major in economics. I rather enjoy the subject and now I won't get hounded by my mom for having an entirely useless degree.
