Come on you want to admit it. You've named your instrument, you band geek you. So what's its name?
My old trumpet was named Diana Thompson. whee Mostly because it was a used instrument and that name was written across the side of it. sweatdrop
My current trumpet is named Key. Nothing special, kind of geeky and that's about it. whee

XD How did you know?! Hee. One day in band while warming up, my friend and I made names for our trombones. whee Mine is Spongy (it was on a whim, o'course), and hers is Alotta Viva Dersissavia (I think that's how you spell it. ._.").

My old trombone (a Conn Director) used to be "Kalashnikov" (after the AK-47... I toted it around like one too lol), but now that I've got my new one, it's "Old Glory."
My new one, a Bach Stradivarius LT42BOG with a trigger and gold-plated bell ( whee ) doesn't have a name yet... I've only had her for a week or two and I haven't really broken her in yet... I'll probably christen her once the marching season starts in September.

I haven't named either of my clarinets. The old one I got from my aunt isn't worth it, and I haven't decided about my new one. As far as I know, no one in my band names their instruments, so . . . a cool senior my freshman year named his clarinet, but I can't remember what it was.

Mine doesn't really have an official name...but i call my trumpet My Great Oldie....because there was a time when everyone around me was gettin new instruments, not just the other trumpets, and they all said that I should get a new one too because it well looked old...and i said...it might look old but this trumpet is over 60 years old and it plays so much better than some of the newest ones I've seen...it's my great oldie...and i dont want a new one! whee 3nodding xp xd
P.S. It's a Conn Director... and to give you an idea on how old it is...the springs are NOT inside the valves...the valve actually sits on the spring...when to my knowlodge the newer ones have built in springs. I showed my freidns who plays many brass instruments and he got all wide eyed and started to take my trumpet apart! lol...

Neither of my trumpets have a name. Although, now that I think about it, I could probably come up with some names. If I had the energy and time to do so, that is.

ShortyBeemer the valve actually sits on the spring...when to my knowlodge the newer ones have built in springs. I showed my freidns who plays many brass instruments and he got all wide eyed and started to take my trumpet apart! lol... lol...My tuba is the same way...I was so shocked after playing my trumpet (built in springs) that when I first took the tuba's vavles out and a spring shot out at me I almost dove for cover...hehe........I was at first wondering where the heck the thing came from lol... But on topic...My tuba is Toby, my sousa Suzie, my trumpet Trumpy, and my clarinet is Clary...hehe

I never named my trumpet or my old cornet, but I did name the French Horn I was borrowing from the school at the time Peggy Sue, because I don't like the name, and I didn't like the quality of the Horn. It was dented around the front, and almost all of the laquer was gone.
