I need to find these songs!
I heard about them in Anthony's book but I never thought they were actually sung...I have to look into this. Does anyone know a site or something where I can find the Rent NYTW songs?

[ [ Lorica ] ] [ Amputated Freckle ] tamedfox [ Amputated Freckle ] tamedfox [ [ Lorica ] ] I haven't listened to the NYTW for a long time. Okay. I hated the Roger in that. He sounded sleepy and he annoyed me most of the time. I thought the whole thing lacked energy.
Favorite songs from there though are "Do A Little Business" (Because I think it's just so funny how Benny is so different in how he acts on the NYTW than what it is now), "He Says" (I just like it because), "I'll Cover You" (I really like the transition from instrumental to the voice. You know how it goes dun dun dun dun dun dun then climatic intro then singing), and "You'll Get Over It" (I just found it so cute. Even though Mark is a perverted horny guy in this song)
Hated songs: "Right Brain" (I'm so glad Jonathan Larson changed the lyrics to this into One Song Glory. 'through her thighs into the sea' ick.), mainly any song that Roger sings. "Right Brain" makes me want to KILL THINGS. As a Californian, I appreaciate the California references...but "One Song Glory" is so much better. Thank Sondheim for re-writes, eh? New York Theatre Workshop!Benny kind of...freaks me out? (Maybe I just love Taye Diggs too much...naw. Not possible. heart ) But he doesn't seem like someone who once lived with them. He sounds so old...not like he could've once been dancing on tables and living without heat. Yeah, he sounds like an old man with greying temples D: Real Estate is pretty funny, though x3 It's like Rent Hoedown xD Oh, Muffy. I really love this part... Muffy: This year, filthy bum Mark: Person! Muffy: Okay...filthy person... x3 You mean Alison? lozl Did Alison actually appear in the NYTW? Freakyyy

okay, I just started Ill Cover You NYTW and i started crying i was so happy. I dont know know why i was so happy... it was angel and collin's happiness getting to me throught a shitty-quality version of the song.
i really dont know why im crying.

and yeah roger pritty much sucks up the whole thing, grrr and collins, cause i love I'll cover you and it makes me sad that it sounds so diff, not as emotional
