I know not many people in this guild think they have access to the OBC or the New York Theater Workshop (NYTW) recordings.

But you do!

I would like to see a Rent Guild where everyone has heard every recorded version of Rent!

Anyway, the OBC can be found on iTunes, which YOU DO NOT NEED AN IPOD TO USE.

It's only $20 for 43 songs, and you could just use your parents' credit card and pay them back or use your own if you have one.

I promise no rapists will come and stalk you, and it won't download crap onto your computer, so there's no reason not to, right?

And shut up about needing a copy of the CD that you can hold; beggars can't be choosers

Besides, you can always rip it onto a CD (which is what you need to do if you have no iPod)

The NYTW version can be found here.

Please listen to it; it's free and won't take up too much time, and it's worth it to hear Rent's humble beginnings.

I know the quality is shitty, but think about how little money they had

And this was probably a recording of a performance, anyway, where as the OBC and the movie soundtrack were professional recordings.

"You'll Get Over It" and "Open Road" are pretty good

And try listening to the OBC right after the NYTW version; it's like a soothing earbath ^^

Does anyone know if other casts do recordings? I know that Phantom of the Opera does, because I own about twenty-thousand uneccessary versions of it, but does Rent? And if so, know where I can get some of these?
