We use the word Creatioists to denote a subset of Christians who believe in Creationism.


There is no subset of christians that are creationist. Look it up - creationist means that you believe in the concept of creation. No true christian doesn't, because creation is in the Bible, which is true, relevant, and to be taken literally by Christian standards, unless you're methodist.


Many Christians would disagree with that statement. Some of them members of this Guild.

You definition of Christian...suits my definition of Creationists.
My definition of Christian is broader, and more inclusive. i.e. people who believe in the Biblical God. Under mine they do not need to believe in the Bible as the literal, absolute, truth.
Most Christians I know fall into my definition, not yours. Creationism is almost entirely an American Christian thing.
