Sailor Grieve of Grieve [ spectating ] The yellow gargoyle of a senshi gazed down at Cybele in sincere confusion, "You stopped at only two?" Fist on hip, she cocked her head and gave this Cybele a closer look. There were definite differences, like the rounded ears which were cutely exotic if a bit less pretty in Grieve's opinion. Scratching at her chin, she wondered, "Is it because of Earth customs or something? I'dve expected you to at least have a few dozen spouses by this age. Huh," a small grunt, "...the marriage maniac down to just one husband and one wife." Grieve gave Cybele a look as if asking how she was still even functioning in such conditions. " Grieve, by the by, of The Collapse. Does you dying make me your widow or your ********' ex?" She had an ugly, if cheerful, laugh at the situation.

Antisana, Squire of Pluto
It was an uncommon occurrence that Antisana ended up on anyone else’s world. Uncommon, but not unwelcome: he would do nearly anything to not be on a noisy, crowded, chaotic planet like Earth. Which was maybe a little misguided of a thought. While his wonder was generally static, unobtrusive, quiet; not everyone’s was, and his escapism only had merit if it went to somewhere not besieged by storm or plague or corruption. Antisana didn’t want to find himself at the mercy of anyone else’s problems. And it was uncannily frequent that most groups were invited to space to deal with an issue, not for games.
So color him skeptical at this invitation. He didn’t know it’s sender by anything other than word of mouth. Perhaps they’d wound up at the same battle once or twice; maybe he’d seen her in passing. For as often as she seemed to end up at Chaos’ throat, he wouldn’t have expected her world to be so… peaceful. And flourishing with foliage, sunlight- And even birdsong? Most planets certainly did not have that.
It really might have been the perfect place to relax.
Except there were… many others here. If he gave it even half a second of thought, Antisana would realize that of course many others would be here. Who wouldn’t answer an invitation to a Princess’ world for literally any reason.
…Ele. Ele hadn’t. Antisana might have appreciated if she would have joined him so that he would at least recognize her among the crowd, but she did not seem so interested in this aspect of powering up as he was. She would not go to her own world, and his was a bit darker, blander than most of the other planets he’d visited. He didn’t begrudge her lack of interest in Antisana, but she might have liked it here.
By the time most of the formalities and greetings were out of the way, Antisana had all but forgotten that by being here, he had essentially agreed to participate in something, not just ogle the scenery and lament that his girlfriend was absent.
Cybele left him at one side of a stone slab with a blond squire, who Antisana was sure he’d had no past dealings with. But there was probably no point in being here if not to mingle with others who supported the cause. Not exactly his strong suit. His chin was up, shaggy violet hair falling across one eye, while the other averted sidelong, avoiding eye contact. “It is nice to meet you…” Customary, if dull, pleasantries. He sat, propping an elbow against stone. “Do you want to get started?”

Emain Ablach, Squire of EarthImhotep? Son of a b***h— The significance of that name was tossed over and over in Emain Ablach’s brain as careful as he was not to react outwardly. Did it even matter who that was to him? It had been so long by this point. Long enough that Tobias had walked out on Zebulon and Diryas in frustration. Had that even made any difference? It was easier to avert his eyes and ears and pretend he’d not heard anything. Easier to look at the man in front of him. Especially since the man in front of him certainly didn’t hurt to look at. Good eye candy. "Nice to meet you, too." Emain Ablach did his best to pull himself out of his thoughts, the pleasant smile no hints of what he was thinking about. "Pluto, is it? I do know someone else from your planet." But they weren’t there for pleasantries. He set his arm on the block and took a deep breath to steel himself. "Yes, let's." As he felt his hand grip Antisana's, he could tell quite quickly that the musculature that he could see in his abs reflected in his arms, too. It was over quickly enough that it took Emain Ablach by surprise. "Fair enough!" [ Antisana wins! ]

Imhotep, Page of MercuryEmain Ablach? Son of a b***h— That name wasn’t high on the list of names he wanted to hear that day. Nectaris? Fine. That one was easy enough to parse while ignoring her connection to a certain someone. He had no issues with her or with Cybele. He was grateful for Cybele, even. It was part of why he’d come to the gathering in the first place. He valued her opinion. Emain Ablach, though? If someone were to ask what Imhotep expected out of Emain Ablach, Imhotep wouldn’t have any concrete answers for them. He’d received as much of an apology as he was going to get, and he knew that. Emain Ablach—Teegan—didn’t seem to remember anything he’d done as a Negaverse agent. He knew that. He also knew that Tobias wanted him to hurry up and get on with letting Teegan back into their lives. Imhotep was the only one holding it up, and he knew that, too. Knowing that didn’t temper the flare of irritation in his chest, however. "Procyon," stated Imhotep flatly, the set of his jaw a bit tighter than he realized. He looked stern. Terse, perhaps, to Promethei and Emain Ablach. "Good luck." The force he put into pushing Procyon's arm down would have taken him by surprise if he didn't know what was behind it. [ Imhotep wins! ] Sara Draconia I'll edit this once you fill in yours, just wanted to make sure I had something down in case I didn't have time later!

Eternal Sailor KerberosAny time Kerberos got to see someone else's planet, it was exciting--and Cybele was beautiful. The sound of birdsong made him feel warm and content; whatever else happened, especially with a silly arm-wrestling competition where Kerberos admitted he was probably at a disadvantage, at least he would get to spend a nice day on a gorgeous world.
And when he saw his opponent, he brightened. "Encke! So good to see you!"
It was, after all. He took his seat and Encke's hand for their little arm-wrestling match.
"I've...been alright," he said, also dropping his voice a little. "How about you?"
If he was honest, he was distinctly struggling against Encke, who was significantly beefier than him. He was pretty sure he was going to lose, and when his hand contacted the table, he laughed.
"Can't say that was unexpected, but good match!"Seiana_ZI most ic possible outcome lmfao

Transcendent Eternal Sailor EnckeIt felt nice to hold someone else's hand, at least, even if the result was perhaps inevitable. "... Surviving," murmured Encke, in a moment of admission that took some of the brightness out of the moment. "Been up and down. Easier to focus on acting life sometimes." And by sometimes, he meant frequently. Encke still went to his homecomet, and he still powered up whenever he felt the press of youma nearby. It was considerably harder to get him to come out for other things. Events that would hopefully promote Order unity? That he could do. It was a bonus it was on Cybele's homeworld, honestly. Some of the brightness returned more obviously at Kerberos' laughter. Encke couldn't help laughing in turn, finally letting go of Kerberos' hand for a playful flex. "Hey, you gave it an honest effort! Good match." noir songbird love a moment of the dice roll making ic sense lmao

Aaru Squire of Saturn Really he didn't understand what made him volunteer for this but....He was now going against another squire from.....What planet? He heard her name and ah! Lysiteha! The Saturn squire tilted his head in thought, "No, cant say I've been to either planet. Name's Aaru...From Saturn." Honestly he should be used to dealing with others that have a more bubbly personality, Rhea instantly came to mind but she was more on the mellower side of that scale. This one didn't seem super bubbly, just a kid really, which also made him wince a little. God was his daughter going to be fighting in this war? Or one of his sons? Not if he had something to say about it. "Look dont worry about having to be strong or anything. If youre a squire dont you have a strength advantage anyway?" He extended his arm, wondering if he should give some sort of effort or just let himself wipe. His older brother was here so maybe he could be a cheerleader on the sidelines for his victory? Instead of trying to arm-wrestle a teenager....Yep, sounded like a plan. He grabbed Mechelen's hand, nodding in affirmative. If he had tried as hard as he could, the poor thing's arm would break...And then that would make him an a*****e. He wasnt about to do that to the girl, so he made it seem like he was putting in some effort, only to allow her to tilt his arm to where it bent and almost landed on the table. "Whelp kid, seems like you were holding out on me with the I'm not strong act." He chuckled and leaned back, "Hope you beat your next opponent just as easily~" Orangeish Sherbert Aaru definitely put in effort mkay? My roll totally reflects this

Halicarnassus, Page of Castor What was this? Now, Hali is extremely competitive and he was aware that with powering up came extra strength but this... really? He was about to arm wrestle a tiny little thing and he had to admit...He would have a better time arm wrestling his wife Vimi or his sister-in-law Maia...Hell, even Shang would be better than this! He spotted his other younger brother [Palmyra was not here], snorting at how he obviously lost to his opponent that looked to be from the same planet as the girl in front of him. Well, he wasnt going to graciously loose! He was here to win damn it! Still, when the girl introduced himself he was kind. "Halicarnassus, nice to meet you." He took her hand in his and didn't go completely ham, just enough to get her arm to hopefully tilt in his favor.

Knight Tanais of MarsWhen she’d heard there was going to be a training, game… thing going on at one of the princess’ planets, she’d all but jumped at the chance. Meet up with a whole bunch of other order folks and do something fun for once? Hell yeah!
The wild, wooded place they arrived at got only a passing glance as Tanais strolled along with the others, red eyes shining with anticipation and a swagger in her step. Her opponents weren’t anyone she’d met before, both a pity and a new opportunity to connect. Senshi, knights… they came in all kinda, all shapes and homeworlds. But precious few third ranks. Might better her chances but it was a little bit of a disappointment. She wanted to really push herself!
The little bit of pink fluff that waited for her at the… table was a bit of a pleasant surprise and Tanais grinned as she approached, dismissing the golden gauntlets from her hands to reveal leather wraps.
“Heartbreaker!” She laughed as she swung down into the seat and propped her arm on the surface. She wrapped her broad hand around the smaller one, the knight’s grin almost wolfish. “I’m glad I get to go up against you this time, rather than just watch from the sidelines. Try to take it easy on me, eh?”
She winked as she flexed, just for a little show.

Princess CybeleMarriage maniac. A part of Cybele wanted to ask if Grieve was confused, or perhaps if she had the wrong person. She wanted to, but she knew there was no point. She might not have known Grieve, but Grieve was looking at her like she knew who she was. Grieve was looking at her like she knew exactly who she was. "I-" Despite her best efforts to keep a straight face, Cybele took in a breath that was just slightly sharper than it should have been. Grieve was asking if Cybele's reincarnation made her a widow, or an ex. Like it or not, the puzzle pieces were sliding togethere in Cybele's mind. She understood the implications of that sentence. She just had no idea how to respond to it, at least not politely. "I have to go update the boards," she said, to buy herself some time, turning away before anyone could see the way she'd started to flush.

player: lizbot Up on the stone platform, Halle eyed the competitors and spectators, the crowd peppered with some familiar faces. For once, it was a gathering without any sort of threat, just games and socializing with a nice side of space tourism. Turning back to the squire he was up against, he gave her a grin. “Congrats on the rank up,” Halle nodded at Celadon’s new uniform. He wasn’t very surprised by it. The two times they’d crossed paths, she’d been dealing with monsters and chaos enemies punching way above her weight class, and he hadn’t seen her do anything other than persist in the face of it all. It only made sense that her wonder, and this world, would respond to that determination, right? Planting his feet on the platform and elbow on the table, the teen offered his hand. player: strickenized In truth, Celadon hoped that the spectators were more interested in other competitions than theirs. It wasn't that she was afraid of losing, or losing in front of someone she knew, but she didn't care for being watched while she did something. It gave her a feeling of unease, like there were unspoken expectations that she was supposed to meet.
She stepped up to the stone platform without a word. She recognized her opponent, though they hadn't said much between each other or really met in person before. Most recently, she remembered seeing him when a handful of knights were called up to Hy-Brasil's wonder to help her push back the Sidhe. While she hadn't run into him since then, it was clear that he was often putting himself into the thick of things, for he turned up here, too.
She heard his name was Halle. Celadon thought that there was a comet or something with that name. His outfit looked like it sported a headband with ears and a unicorn horn. It was cute — whimsical, even.
And it was hard to believe something like that belonged in the middle of a war.
Celadon wadded up a handful of her skirts in one hand and stepped up to the platform herself. "Thanks," she offered in return. "You're very astute. This might not go well for me." Then she added her elbow to the table as well, and laced together their fingers for the coming competition. player: lizbot Sensing the compliment was sincere and not just something thrown to appease a kid, Halle did not preen, but couldn’t help but smile over it. Just like Mechelen didn’t want him taking her any less seriously for being a girl, Halle didn’t want to be dismissed for his age. When the signal was given, he focused more on not moving to her strength rather than trying to force her arm back. Better to test the waters and get more aggressive after she’d adjusted to what she thought was his all-out strength, right? Which was how he nearly lost in the first few seconds. Stifling a yelp of surprise, he managed to hold Celadon off about half a foot from the table. With a hard swallow and clenched teeth, it was a struggle just to get their hands nearly to the center again. Maybe arm wrestling wasn’t the best place for strategy, at least if he was planning not to cheat or something. Glancing from their hands to Celadon’s face, focused and serious, Halle tried to find the same state of mind. She was strong, they both were. He wasn’t sure if his arm was shaking more or hers was, but he was sure that he’d just gained an inch. And then another. Just a few more. Just push into that momentum until… There was a soft rap of knuckles hitting the table. "Alright!"Quote: OOC note: Strick's opted for Celadon to lose this round, so no rolling, with stari's OK heart

Sailor Grieve of Grieve As Cybele stalked off, all feathers and the graceful swirl of her dress, Grieve just stared in surprise for a moment. Until a slow, broad smile rose on her features, like a sunrise in hell. Was this version....shy? Irritable? Awkward in the face of her past...well , everything, maybe?!The laugh that followed was low and full of friendly ill-intent. Later, whenever Cybele made the mistake of looking at Grieve, she'd find the deep space senshi not only noticing the attention within half a breath, but also having the very poor taste to wave, or worse, perversely wink back at her.

The competition was fierce, cutthroat even. Everyone was taking this completely seriously, and none of the matches had been thrown. All right. Perhaps none of that was true, but Cybele was happy enough with just the air of cheer and good spirits that filled the clearing. She might have looked just a bit frazzled as she stepped away from a side conversation to announce the winners of the first round, but it was easy enough to start smiling at each competitor as she began to speak. The winners of the first round were Imhotep, Halicarnassus, Halle, Mechelen, Belmont, Dering, Antisana, Ymir, Tanais, and Encke. That meant it was time for the match ups for the second round. Grieve vs Imhotep Reims vs Zenobia Ametkhan vs Helene Fragaria vs Zero Ngome vs Eupheme Dumuzi vs Katerini Wallia vs Crisium Halicarnassus vs Gault
Meissa vs Halle Irkalla vs Beira Lacaille vs Mechelen Belmont vs Kaifeng Perdita vs Dering Antisana vs Vela Connie vs Daphne Ymir vs Promethei
Tanais vs Ganymede Tjilaki vs Puck Anser vs Erytheia Encke vs Myrrha "Good luck to you all," called out Cybele, and then it was time for the matches to begin again. Quote: The second round will be open until February 18 at 10 PM EST! Here are the brackets for reference.

Super MeissaMeissa was taking a well-earned break from hunting for that jackalope. She had of course been trying to locate the animal, but she had had no luck as of yet. Would she be able to go back to hunting after this one match? Or would there be more matches in the near future? Stepping up to the table in which her opponent waited, the Super Senshi of Bobcats took in the design of the squire before giving them a good-natured smile. Her left arm went onto the stone table and she flexed her palm for a few seconds before she acknowledged to her opponent, Squire Halle, that she was ready to begin their match.
"Good luck to you, I won't go down without a fight."
As to prove her word, as soon as Halle was ready to begin, Meissa put all of the effort she could muster into bringing her opponent's arm down to the table.

Transcended Eternal Sailor GanymedeAfter she’d found a comfortable spot from which to watch the first round, Ganymede stepped up to one of the platforms once it was her turn for a match. She had a smile on her face, at ease here on Cybele in a way she usually wasn’t on Earth.
“Don’t go easy on me,” she told her opponent, propping her elbow up with her hand raised, ready to grip Tanais’. Ganymede wiggled her fingers, the ghostly scar across her palm glowing gold.
She wouldn’t be upset if she happened to lose, but she was pleased for the opportunity to test her strength anyway. Her arms certainly didn’t look as if she could hold her own, toned but not so muscled as to be visibly strong. Slim of figure and short of stature, Ganymede didn’t look nearly as impressive as some of her peers (whatever her abilities said to the contrary).
She would put all of her strength into this match regardless.
