The lights were out, there was a calmness on the air. A gentle breeze was circulating in the room from a ceiling fan high above. The sound of water bubbling from a nearby fountain was helping lull Princess Kakyuu into sleep-like-state-of-mind in the guest bedroom she was laying in.



The gentle breeze fluttering in the wind, felt like the softest tips of feathers lightly tickling against the sleeping princess's cheeks. Shifting slightly in her sleep, the blanket laying atop pulled away from her body causing Kakyuu to stir awake. Slowly opening her eyelids to where she thought for a second someone was along the side of her bed staring back at her. She reacted in a startled manner, but was not frightened. Only startled, due to the fact, Kakyuu was not expecting anyone to be in the bedroom with her.



Reaching up to rub away the sleep, she sat upright with her elbows along the bed, and flipped on the switch of the light beside her. "Hello? Who is it?" Allowing her eyes to adjust to the light and fully opening her eyes with full attention to who she thought she saw was no longer at her side. "Hello? Is anyone there?" The bedroom felt eerily still. The sound of the ceiling fan above appeared to be still even though the blades of the fan appeared to be moving at a slow rate.

'Strange. . .?' Princess Kakyuu thought to herself, pulling herself to sit more upright taking a moment to look at her surroundings. It was at that very second that moment that she moved, the entire room became engulfed in a brilliant color of blue! Gasping in reaction to the sudden onslaught of radiant light seeping in through the flooring, the walls and the ceiling above caused alarm to settle in!



'What is this light that's washing over me and wiping out everything in view??' Princess Kakyuu thought as she moved her arms outstretched before herself as she was attempting to shield herself from the blinding rays of light. And maybe, just maybe see who was in the light? Who she thought had been staring back at her when she stirred awake.

"KIRA?!"

That voice! It was Star Healer! Pulling her hands back towards her body, she began to glow in an iridescent red hue of her own Osmanthus essence. When she heard another scream that reverberated along the walls!

"KIRA! You don't have to transform! I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!!"

After the second shout, Princess Kakyuu's bedroom door opened with force. Causing her to turn rapidly and face who had made entry into the room!



Sailor Mars' gloved hand settled upon her throat as she watched Sailor Star Fighter depart through the nights' starlit sky. Releasing what felt like a breath held in for a long amount of time, the weight of the day had started to settle in. The Hikawa Shrine appeared welcoming and relaxing, which helped soothe her wandering thoughts of the day and night. Being mindful to be quiet, she sneakily made her way into the residence like a ninja. Not making one sound. Because sound would stir her grandfather awake.

Once inside, down the hall towards her private bathroom. She closed the sliding door shut. Already in the process of de-transforming out of her senshi attire and right back into her concert dress.



The spotlight was gone. The microphone was non-existent presently. The stage was a memory along with the screaming fans in the background. It was just Rei Hino standing with her back against the wall of the door looking across the way at the tall bathroom mirror. Closing her eyes, Rei could still hear the overwhelming sound of chanting from the fans out in the audience. The constant flashing of cameras surrounding the stage, the heat from the colored lights pouring down upon all of them singing to the crowd. The shared moments of dancing with Seiya on the stage, the praises she received... and the kiss.

Feeling a rush of emotions flush right through her, Rei gasped slightly. In doing so she was pulled out of her thoughts. Reaching up with her gloved fingertips just hanging, no lingering mere inches away from her lips. The kiss. . . . Not just the one she received on stage... but afterwards. Here at the shrine when it was just the two of them. Rei's heart rate increased as she could feel and hear the heavy thudding of her heart. Feeling that shared moment again, as if Seiya was there with her. Her eyes shot open, feeling completely flushed. "A shower.. yes.. that's what I need." Said mostly to herself, as she wandered across the way to turn on the spray of the shower which helped mute out any further thoughts. Slipping free from her dress, laying it neatly along the countertop, along with her accessories. Rei became lost to her thoughts, new memories, feelings and sensations as the water washed over her like a roaring waterfall.



Losing track of time spent in the shower. The shower felt refreshing after a long day where her energy had been spent. She was certain that the others felt that way too. Turning off the water, stepping out already wrapped in a towel she was in the process of squeezing out the remnants of water from her hair with a towel. The moment she removed the towel and let her hair fly away from her is when Rei felt this overwhelming sensation of someone close to them in distress. Gripping the top of her towel she turned around, to get her bearings. Her feet swiped along on the moist wooden flooring, trying to steady herself as she tried to hone in on what was being broadcast.

Managing to focus on what she was feeling, it felt like an abrupt burst of wind struck from nowhere, as if she was sucked into a vacuum of deep space! The sensation, actually moved Rei from where she had been standing back and up against the wet bathroom wall. Spontaneously feeling herself being pulled from the real world, to where an astral projection of herself was thrown into the room of where Kira and Yaten were interacting with one another at the Three Lights' home. An astral image of herself blended in perfectly to the blinding blue light radiating off the entire bedroom walls and ceiling. Making it difficult for anyone present to detect her presence.



~ "I'll do it... I'll do anything for Yaten... Star Healer... because I... ~ Placing her hands up against her temples, she could almost see the event happening in real time but everything was a blur and her head began to throb as she focused all that she was into the psionic vision being shown to her then. ~"I love you..." ~ Like a film projection of a slow motion movie being played, Rei could see who was calling out was surrounded in a blue light. The light was pulsating as the individual began to transform. The individual was no doubt Kira! The beginning process of white ribbons were starting the process of transformation. And the wand that was being held tightly within Kira's grasp was glowing bright like a beacon of unknown power!

Hearing a shouting scream piercing through her astral projection, Rei experienced what could only be described as a psionic blast! Which was quite literally a bolt of energy directed at her, (whether it was meant to happen or not) forcing Rei to feel both pain and confusion in reaction to the blast! Perhaps she felt that due to the combination of the power from behind Kira's transformation and Yaten's cries across the astral plane that inflicted the pain she was experiencing.

"KIRA?! KIRA!!!"

Kira's name echoed, in Rei's thoughts which caused Rei to drop from where she had been standing to be holding her head as the echo continued. Focusing her power based on what she could feel, she heard several cries along the psionic plane.

"KIRA! You don't have to transform! I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!!"

~ I CAN'T LOSE YOU, AGAIN! ~

Rei's head was throbbing in pain, as she endured it long enough to realize the pain what she was feeling then. Was NOT HER OWN PAIN! The pain was from Yaten of all people! This was NO NORMAL TRANSFORMATION! Nothing in comparison to when they all witnessed their princess being revealed, this was something more!



Spiraling darkness and flames engulfed the image surrounding Kira and Yaten as Rei was abruptly removed from the psionic plane and thrown back to reality. A rush of shaky air was released whereas Rei found herself on the bathroom floor with her arms struggling to propping herself upright along the floor. Feeling warmth running down along her lips, she could taste the copper from blood entering her mouth. There was no time to lose! Both Kira and Yaten were in danger. She was hesitant to reach out towards Seiya telepathically unsure of how they might react to that form of contact. Looking across the way, she saw her phone along the floor. Taking it up within her hands she instantly called Seiya's phone and without skipping a beat, a voice mail came across the other line.

"Dammit! She's nowhere near the phone..." Not realizing that the recording had already started and she sounded strained. A beep caught her attention and she responded quickly and short. Trying to make herself sound normal, which probably could be detected that something was off, "Seiya.. hey uhh...I know it's late and you need rest.. something bad is going on.. this is going to sound weird but I can hear both Kira and Yaten screaming. Is everything okay on your end?" The line went dead because the recording had ended. s**t! No chance to erase the message and start fresh. She would just have to deal with Seiya's reaction later!

Allowing her phone to slip free from her hand, Rei sat more upright and slumped against her bathroom wall. In response to the sensation of something moist, hot and coppery running down along her lips. Rei lifted her bare hand up to swipe away at the blood. A nose bleed, wonderful. Just how she wanted to end the day. No time for the wicked, right? This kind of distress would have to be placed on the backburner with what she was experiencing. Kira and Yaten were in danger! Someone needed to be alerted to this before something else occurred!

Rei's energy was spent. She wasn't getting up anytime soon. "Usagi...." she managed to mutter. Looking to where her phone had slid off to, scooping it up she dialed Usagi's number as the line began to ring multiple times. Hanging onto her cellphone as a lifeline, she hissed already getting a sense that Usagi's line was going to head to voicemail soon as well. When she heard the line connect and open up, instead of hearing Usagi's cheerful and more than likely sleepy-groggy voice, she heard an exhausted male voice instead.



"Hello?" It was Mamoru! Hopefully Usagi was with him! Mamoru spoke up a little clearer, "Rei? Are you alright??"



Rei didn't say anything at first. She almost felt like crying when a voice answered on the other end. "Mamoru?" Knowing she sounded distressed, "I - I-I'm sorry, I know it's late and you two were probably in bed. I wouldn't call unless it was absolutely an emergency and important! Is.. is Usagi-chan.. is she there, Mamoru? I've already ... tried to call Seiya but the phone went straight to voicemail. Mamoru! Usagi! Someone needs to get in touch with anyone of the Three Lights check up on Kira-chan. I -I-I... I think Kira is trying to transform... I can feel her, feel... something different about the transformation. . ."
