Class Affinity - Beast Tamer
Esmeray wasn't someone who volunteered for work. It was somewhat of a notorious trait that the entire village knew about. She would often disappear in the midst of tasks, showing up only when it was done and everyone was ready to go home. Eventually, the elders accepted the laziness and decided to not punish others but scheduling her - because often her partner would need to do double work. As a result, while many enjoyed her company, they did not enjoy having her on the assignment list. In fact, it caused quite a few complaints to the elders, though Esmeray wasn't one to take any of it seriously or to heart.
Yet there was one thing she enjoyed - something she often disappeared to do. Esmeray enjoyed spending time with the young creatures, especially the Sitara population that lived in the woods behind the village. As a youngling, she would often race near the edge of the woods to watch their tails light up in the evening, awed at the glowing lights. As she got older, she would catch one and walk around all day with it on her shoulder, the chirping noises something she found pride in.
When she got older, she grew confident in some of the other creatures of their lands. Though not a fan of the bugs, Esmeray did appreciate the ones with beautiful soft wings. She would lay in the grasses and watch them flutter about. Eventually she became confident in tending to those as well. The only ones she refused to deal with were the Spitorogs, which often would follow her home and result in her racing around to get out of their view. They were determined, but slow creatures, and so far she hadn't had one sneak in to her house to scare her yet - thank Seren.
One day, the elders approached her and asked if she wanted to tend to the creatures during her task. For the first time in her life, she found herself eager, and nodded. It was the beginning of a new journey, and soon enough she found herself eager for a chore - as long as Spitorogs were not involved.
